Ciera kindly offered to order me temporary paper shades to help cover the windows as I waited for our new ones to come in. The install was super smooth. I appreciated that they used shoe covers inside and made sure to vacuum and clean up the best they could. I'm glad I was able to support a local, family-business that sells high quality products. He explained that the original cellular shades could not be retro-fitted to be motorized, so we would have to buy new sets. No problem - and totally understandable! Rommel was very patient and thorough with his explanation of why and working with us to understand our project. We ended up purchasing four sets of shades for our primary bedroom to cover two large windows with a two-layer, motorized system of black-out and light-filtering cellular shades. Rommel's installation team (Rene and Martin) were amazing - super fast, diligent, and competent! They also moved the original set of cellular shades we had to our living room, which meant we didn't lose them after all! They also updated the cord pulls for the original set, which we appreciated. The motorized shades have been such a wonderful addition to our master bedroom! We love the total darkness it provides for sleeping in -- and the automatic scheduler to lower / raise the shades as well has proven very convenient. We are VERY pleased with this upgrade. Overall, JMK Shutters offers a comprehensive, customer-first experience. Their team is knowledgeable, competent, and on-time. I love marble but the maintenance is just too much (3 teenagers and 2 cats) unlike the travertine. Still beautiful, natural stone but less maintenance. I will gladly recommend Enrique's Tile; will use again for future projects.

My wife and I recently purchased shutters for our new home and went with MLI. Best decision we made for our new place. After getting the run around elsewhere (and sticker shock on top of that), we checked out MLI and were sold on their selection and excellent service. They had a ton of options for not only shutters but all kinds of blinds and other window coverings we never knew were on the market. They helped with the design as well which my wife loved. We got an excellent product that increases the value of our home in case we end up selling down the line. As a new home owner, price was a key factor, and they worked with us on finding the product we wanted within our budget. The install guys were awesome too. I spent over 20k on Hunter Douglas window coverings about 10 years ago from a Brentwood vendor (AS&B). Last month one of my large window's honeycomb blind broke beyond repair. Called HD to help me repair or replace and was told it could only be done by the original vendor that sold me the product. As soon as I called my vendor immediately told me warranty lasts only 5 years and you're SOL. Called HD back and they said to try Elite Shutters in Livermore. D'Ann was the answer to my prayers. In less than 24 hours she got me approved for a new shade from HD. My cost only $30, saving me 2 grand. Her customer service blew my mind. If I could give her 10 stars I would. They are definitely getting all of mine and my family's business from here on out. read more

After speaking with D'ann, and getting her professional advice on styles, types and materials, we were so pleased we scheduled an in-home consult. Elite did an excellent job. My vertical blinds (installed by another company) had fallen into disrepair over the years, so I wanted new blinds. When I called Elite, I expected them to simply come by and replace mty blinds with the same style. I was pleasantly surprised when Janice arrived with several books of styles to choose from. It became like a beauty contest: Choosing about 10, then whittling them down to 5 semi-finalists, thento 2 finalists and lastly choosing the one I wanted.
