I was wanting to use my credit card points for something fun to do on our trip to Denver. I came across this place and thought it sounded fun and unique. Our appointment was early since we had to fly out that day. We arrived right when they opened (8 am) for our 8:30 appointment. The workers kindly greeted us and got us all checked in. They then showed us the tap wall and let us sample any that we wanted. My boyfriend and I both decided on the orange creamsicle beer, which was very surprising to me since I do not like beer!! (It didn't taste like beer at all!!!) We got to sit in their lounge, eat some complimentary trail mix and banana chips, and select our infusion for our spa. Shortly after, someone took us to our room. They definitely were sticking to a script, which felt less authentic, but they seemed friendly nonetheless. The spa room was clean and romantic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Something that was nice was that you could press a button and have them bring you a refill of your drink, which we did once. You could also go out to the taproom in your robe to get another drink. The one complaint I have, like others have said, is the automatically added 20% tip. I understand that you can change the tip, but it is uncomfortable to do that, particularly when they are standing right there. 20% tip is a lot when the service is already $199 plus drinks. Other than that, we really enjoyed the time and would recommend it!!

Celebrated my birthday here and it was a wonderful experience! We had a group of 4 so we booked the garage party, which is 2 private adjoining rooms that they open a half-wall garage door in between. My best friend and her hubs were in one room and we were in the other with our own tubs. They ask you to get there at least 30 mins before your appointment to have you select which herb bundle you want for your soak (we went with the energizing IPA which was complimentary as well as the Muscle Relaxing Lager that was a $10 add-on). They take you to the self-serve drink taps where you can sample their beer, wine, or spritzes. You're given your own insulated cup and you can choose your beverage before heading into the spa. We had the ADA room which was larger than the other and able to fit 4 of us in the sauna. They recommend 15 mins in the private sauna, a cold shower rinse, and then the remainder of the time in the tub. The tub starts draining 20 mins before your session is up to give you time to get out and shower. The jets are going the whole time so that pretty much muffles any exterior sound and we did have to raise our voices a bit to hear eachother from tub to tub, but it was great! The little details they've added really enhance the experience. It's a nice touch you can add a birthday or anniversary banner for $10. They give you sandals to wear in the spa so you don't need to bring your own. I loved the little talking prompts all around the spa and in the sauna to strike up conversation. It actually brought our group closer and we learned things about eachother we didn't know before. They hang robes in your room so you can pop out of the tub and go into the lobby to fill your drink OR there's a call button in the room for one of the staff to come in and refill your drink for you. There is a lock on the door so when it's time to shower (which is completely open to the room) you can lock up and no one can come in. The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had our garage door closed for that so each couple had their privacy. They also have a communal room to blow dry your hair equipped with lotion, hair ties, deodorant, etc. After our soaking experience which was very relaxing, we sat in their cooling / quiet area to unwind. We decided to add on the 15 minute anti-gravity massage chairs for $20 and I'm so glad we did. The room was so relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and stars on the ceiling. Those chairs are legit. We all loved our massages. Paul was a rockstar and provided excellent service. He adjusted our chair settings and helped us with whatever we needed. It was a perfect way to start my birthday weekend. My only gripe is they add a 20% gratuity to your whole bill so it was pretty pricey (over $700 for the 4 of us). Wish there was an option to add on what you like or have it applied to a portion of the service, not the add-ons. But other than that, it was a wonderful, unique experience and someplace I'd return to.

Had a very relaxing spa session at Oakwell. Felt very taken care of and left feeling magnifique! Process: *Come in take your shoes off and take some spa slippers. Leave your shoes at the door. * check in * walk through drink available / how to use / snack add on etc * someone gives you a run down on what herbs to infuse your tub with. (2 options you can select from are included/ one option is the premium options you have to pay to add on) * little tour and explanation of process and timing * shown to your room and enjoy! (Room service available if you need more drinks, snacks to order) Great experience BUT and I hate to have a but. Only thing is the tub felt very lukewarm warm and not hot enough for me. The shower water as well. It was either very cold which is great for a little shock after the sauna but after the tub I wanted to use hot and it was just warm. Only constructive criticism here. You get a drink and are charged per ounce (not included) on my end, wish maybe a first drink was free especially for the packages or special occasion bundles. There are a couple of complimentary snacks (which is nice) and add one for purchase like a charcuterie board, mimosa, champagne or other things. You can also buy items from their line of products (shampoo / conditioner / body lotion / bath bombs etc.) loved the lotion o.O

A wonderful anniversary experience at Oakwell! This was our first time coming to Oakwell - A friend recommended this experience when I was trying to decide what to gift my husband for our anniversary. Booking was easy and I opted to purchase some add ons for our anniversary. The staff were super friendly and walked us through what to expect from our experience. They provide insulated cups for the beer so it stays nice and cold! The room was equipped with a shower, sauna, and hot tub. The staff suggested a particular order of use and I'm glad we followed their advice as it felt like we had the perfect amount of time in each area of the room! We had so much fun that my husband gifted me another Oakwell experience as a Christmas present. We recently moved to the suburbs so we will be trying the suburban location next. We can't wait!

Truly was the one and only thing we fully had planned before our return trip to Denver for our honeymoon! Despite the two+ years passing and the addition of Oakwell to the name nothing has changed. The experience and comfort plus relaxation they provide to you is absolutely incredible and something you must experience yourself to understand! More than just your run of the mill spa as you'd expect from the beer part of the name. Offering a pour yourself beer wall but don't worry other drink options are available as well. They also use hops, malts, and other things typical known to be used in beer for your bath for positive effects (depending on the blend). Once you are checked in and get all the necessary information and beverage of choice they are setting up your room. After it is set they will bring you back and run through all the details and then you get to experience the magic. They do recommend using the sauna then a cold shower before enjoying the bath and finishing with a hot shower to clean up. During that hot shower is a great time to sample their awesome beer ingredient inspired shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! My wife and I love this place so much after both of our experiences. We have been thrilled to see their second location open and may have also heard the future will hold the ability for people to franchise in other locations. Could only dream of a similar experience to come to Maine!

I'd never been to a beer spa so I stopped in since I was in town. They have you remove your shoes upon entry. The vibes seemed relaxing & the seating area was clean. They had a nice selection of beer & wine. I wish there was a bit more variety for the beer. They offer complimentary snacks. The guy at the front desk was friendly & attentive. It was a nice experience to chill for a bit.

I absolutely loved the beer spa! I came here on a Sunday for a relaxing day by myself. The service was out of this world! They really take the time to make sure you under and every aspect of the experience. They have 3 different options for your bath. I used the relaxing one and it was amazing! My one thing is the baths themselves aren't heated, so mine got cold and I had to call the attendant to give me more hot water which kind of disrupts the experience. The sauna was amazing! I'm sad I didn't spend more time in there! I also had a 30 minute zero-gravity massage which felt amazing! The room had relaxing music and lighting. The pricing is a little more than I think it should be... at least give me the drink mug for free then! I wouldn't want to pay for it separately...

I booked a visit after seeing Oakwell listed on top 10 spas in the US. I regularly visit other infrared saunas and spas, and I am not used to drinking while doing so. However, although alcohol is part of the vibe, what stands out is the service and the goal to chill out. I liked the presentation of the different soaks and how they explained it more like a tea/bath versus just soaking in beer. The insulated cups, snacks, and general atmosphere was thoughtful, clean, and relaxed. The little room had most everything you'd want- although I'd love a Bluetooth speaker to connect to in the rooms. Everything was clean and I really liked how you could buzz a doorbell and request something if you needed (although I didn't). Also- don't skimp on the massage chair time- was really good pressure and gets a good amount on your butt and hips! Perfect for a little cool down. After your done, it is nice to hang out in the main room, have a drink and relax. It helps to transition from spa back into the day. I'd go again. I also liked the texting to confirm and even added a charcuterie over text and it was lovely and ready to go when I got to my room. Really loved the ease of the booking and overall service. Everyone was really great.

This may sound gimmicky, but believe me- this is THE spa to go to to relax, enjoy your significant others company, and have some good good beer. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! I love going to spas, but I love going to experience, atmospheric spas. Getting a massage in a clinical-looking room with no music, no aromatherapy, etc. is not my ideal spa experience. THIS is. We made our appointment online beforehand and chose the "date-night experience." It was more expensive than the regular option, obviously, but when I did the math (this includes a $30 beer credit), it only ended up being a bit more, included some chocolates, rose petals, and a "congratulations" sign (we were in CO to get married and this was to celebrate getting out marriage license!). The staff was very helpful and kind. They let you try any of the beers you are interested in before you pour yourself a whole glass, they have free snacks while you are there, and there is a button in your room so if you ever need more beer, they can refill your glass for you! When you go in, they recommend that you go into the sauna for a certain amount of time, then hop in a cold shower, then get into the "beer spa" - basically a hot tub or hot bath with a "tea bag" of beer-related things (hops, barley, etc)., then hop in the shower one more time! The whole experience was an hour and a half I think, but we were there for around 2 hours including the time before and after in the welcome room. Another very cool thing that they have that we loved was conversation cards both in the waiting room, as well as in your spa room, to get you and your partner talking. They even had them laminated in the sauna and hung on the wall! Also the bath soap smelled SO GOOD that we bought one to take home. They send you home with a postcard and even spray that with their signature scent because it smells so good and they know it! The parking was easy- they have a little lot, but we just street parked on that street and it was super easy. This was a great, relaxing, intimate, and unforgettable spa experience that we will remember fondly as part of our wedding week!

This place is AMAZING! From start to finish we felt pampered and hosted by the friendliest staff. The decor is modern and cozy and the drink selection (and knowledge about the drinks) were great. This is such a cool and unique concept that we don't have at home so it was a really fun thing to do while visiting Denver. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for something fun to do for yourself or with a friend or partner. Was the perfect way to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, thank you for making our visit so special!

This was a MUCH needed experience. Came to Denver for a weekend reset and this ended my trip the right way. The staff were on top of everything helping us with each step of the process. The rooms were cleaned properly and set up for the max relation we needed. I get it's a beer spa but would like more wine options if they could just because I'm not a huge beer guy but still enjoyed the cider options they had! So happy for the experience.

I walked in to experience the zero gravity massage chairs for 30 minutes (15 min. of full-body pressure followed by a 15 min. stretch). The staff was wonderful, they greeted me, had me sign a waiver, demonstrated how to use the self-pour tap, and instructed me on where everything is located (gender-neutral bathrooms). Prior to my massage, I enjoyed an Avery beer and relaxed on the velvet sofas in the Beer Therapy Lounge. It was great to hear that they switch out the beers with local businesses so you can taste a new selection each visit. In addition to beer, they have cider, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage options along with complimentary snacks (banana chips, bar nuts) and priced boards. When I was ready for my massage they took me to the Relaxation Lounge and draped a blanket on me to ensure I was comfortable horizontal. The privacy curtain, music, and sky-gazing lights provided the perfect calming atmosphere. Afterward, I returned to the Beer lounge, enjoyed another pour, and loved how I never felt rushed to leave. Wow! This place exceeded my expectations! I took my fiancé here for a date and it was beyond what either of us expected! We started with the massage chairs, they were amazing. Then we were takin into this private room. We experienced the infrared sauna, beer bath and shower. The shower products made my hair and skin so soft I've never used anything like it. In all honesty, all the five star reviews are proof enough! This place is truly one of a kind! I surprised my best friend with a full beer spa experience for her birthday. BEST. BIRTHDAY. PRESENT. EVER. We booked the beer bath hydrotherapy room and two zero gravity massages. A-1 service! When we arrived, we were greeted and escorted to the beer tap where we had an endless choice of local beers and wines. After a brief wait, we were ushered into our own private beer oasis equipped with a red light therapy sauna. And guess what? They offer tap to room service with a ring of the bell! Each experience was better than the last! After an amazing soak in the hops tub, we went to the zero gravity room where we were massaged from head to toe in our individual gravity chairs. Between the massage and the ambiance, it was a complete outer body experience! My bestie and I have decided to make this an annual birthday tradition, so looks like I'll be back again...and again...and again! read more

My wife and I received a gift card for the Beer Spa from my family to encourage me to get past my cancer treatments. I waited until i was feeling healthier to book our appointment, but it was worth the wait! I'm not normally a Spa Guy, but this kind of spa treatment was awesome. This is a fantastic place to relax and unwind! The tap list always seems to have a good variety of different beer styles. Being able to have your own private room is a great way to ensure privacy and tranquility, relative to other spas with similar amenities. The people there are very attentive and will go out of their way to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to our next visit soon! read more

Booked this as a gift to celebrate birthdays for both my girlfriend and myself. We booked the 90 minute hydrotherapy experience and 15 minute gravity massage. Jessica and Damien were very good at communicating with me in the day leading up to our appointment to both send a reminder and to give tips on how to best enjoy the experience, which I appreciated, and overall the two of them were excellent hosts. I wished we had gotten there a bit earlier so we could relax in the lounge longer and actually use the tap wall to sample a bit more, but we got there right on time and they had the room prepared for us. They briefly showed us how to use the tap wall and I had a nice saison from Sanitas brewing. They switch breweries each month so there will always be something new to try. Also, they have some a few snack items if you are waiting in the lounge for a bit(banana chips and trail mix when I was there). They said we could have take some snacks in the spa room with us if we had wanted to too. They showed us to the room and gave us a general idea of the best way to spend our time: sauna first, then a brief cold shower, and then the hot tub. Overall the experience in the room was very relaxing and I think it was a good amount of time. I've brewed beer a few times before and so it was kind of funny to think about sitting in a hot tub with the hop bag, but I really enjoyed the aroma. And the fact that they change the hop blend every month is nice. If you need a refresh on your drink while in the rooms or any other issue they have a call button on the wall and will come help you. I'd say we are relatively average sized, but we did think that perhaps it would not be super comfortable for two taller people to soak in the tub at the same time unless another room could accommodate that better. When the time was up the hot tub automatically drained so we rinsed off in the shower one more time and then moved on to the gravity massage. The gravity massage was a very unique experience and if I were to come back in the near future it probably would be to do a 30 minute massage instead of a 15 and to up the pressure level, it's a 1-5 scale and I did a 3. As far as any criticism or tips go: I did have to book nearly 3 weeks in advance to get a time that would work for us, although if you are only doing the massage chairs you don't need a reservation. The rooms are private but we could hear the room next to us a bit... it wasn't enough to be annoying. They almost accidentally charged for a 30 minute massage instead of a 15 but I caught it before they charged it. I would recommend this place to anyone in Denver looking for a special, unique, and relaxing experience. read more

We had the most AMAZING experience, we were on vacation and booked back when it first opened in February! IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Doug and Rachel to name a few made us feel like a million bucks! We left feeling relaxed and pampered and well hydrated even with a few beers under our belt. Our bodies are still reaping the benefits of the treatments! This place is one of a kind and an absolute must get to if you're in the area. The spa is unlike anything else and a really great experience. The beers add a unique touch (especially for a big beer drinker like myself) but even if you're not a huge beer drinker, you don't miss out on anything! The Beer Spa is the ultimate relaxation destination! I'm a craft beer lover who was looking for a brief break from reality, and, although the price was a bit of a deterrent at first, I figured I'd go for it...and I'm glad I did. This was totally worth the money. When I walked in, I was greeted by Emily. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, couldn't ask for anything more. She walked me through the self-pour system and even gave me a sample of a few beers before I made my selection. After a few sips, I was whisked away to my private spa room, complete with a sauna, shower and hops tub. The hour flew by...I followed the staff's recommendation and started with the sauna, and was glad I did. After the spa room, I spent an hour hanging out in the tap room, sipping on beer and reading a book. It was pure bliss. Highly recommend this place to anyone just looking for a brief escape from reality...and interested in trying some wonderful craft beers. The Beer Spa was MAGICAL. All the employees were so welcoming and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. They were attentive and welcoming from start to finish. We started with the massage chairs and I was extremely skeptical - envisioning the Sharper Image vibrating recliners. I'm so glad my wife talked me into it because the chairs here are AMAZING. Was blown away by how strong of a massage they give and would recommend everyone try them out. Following our massage, we spent the next 90 minutes fully relaxed with a few cycles of sauna, rinse, hot tub, repeat. They came to our room with more beer while we were relaxing in room. My spouse and I have been to Oakwell Beer Spa several times now and it's been an incredible experience every time. On our most recent visit, we tried the Zero Gravity Message Chairs for the first time. I'll admit I was skeptical at first. Was it really going to do anything other than just shake and rattle? Well, let me tell you. This is not your grandparents' message chair. It gets deep into those tight and sore spots and kneads the pain away, then it gently squeezes all the way around your limbs and releases to get your blood flowing. The whole program itself is very meditative that you're in a trance by the end, floating somewhere in a state of peace. Hence the label, zero gravity. I highly recommend adding on at least a short session after your plunge. Speaking of which, the spa room itself is absolute heaven. First, it's the most humid place in Colorado, so you can finally give your skin a break from the dry air. And the smell of hops both in your cup and in the tub is intoxicating. It's tremendously peaceful and romantic at the same time. My spouse and I have had some great conversations in that room that we haven't had anywhere else. Even though it's located in the heart of Denver, entering that room is like a portal to a far away place. The relaxation it brings lasts for weeks. Just enough time to book again. And book again we will. Oh, and the people who work there are the best. read more

Great new concept for a spa! I am so excited to bring my husband and have recommended this spot to my friend as a spa "date night" that her husband would also enjoy. Comfortable waiting/relaxation area and nice selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The snack selection is lovely and the privacy in the actual spa area is fantastic! The spa room was a luxury experience and every part of the space was very clean. I never felt cramped in any area. The massage chair was so wonderful, my friend wanted to take one home!! The best part was my friend and I were never rushed during any part of our time there. I contacted the staff to inform them i was flying in from Atlanta only for this experience and they worked hard to get me scheduled and IT WAS WORTH IT . My wife and I finally went last week and it was great. As you enter the spa/bar, the interiors are well done and comfortable as you relax and have a drink before your escorted to spa room. The beer/cider/wine selection was great, and if you don't like it, it changes monthly. We thought 90 minutes was a long time, but it went by too fast as we detoxed, relaxed and sipped our cold beverages. All the employees were very accommodating and friendly. We visited within the first week of The Beer Spa opening and it was an amazing experience. The tap room was a great kick start and then when we got into the beer therapy room, Damien showed us all around and what to do. From the sauna to the beer bath to the shower, it was all perfect! Afterwards we enjoyed a couple more beers and then spend 15 minutes in the Zero Gravity massage chairs! What a way to end the evening. This place is amazing!! This was my husband and my second time to the Beer Spa. It's such an incredible concept and the staff is amazing. They are all so friendly, inviting an helpful. Such a fun idea for a date! It's a relaxing environment and fun to get to try several beers at the same time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They change breweries every month so it's a different experience each time you go. I've only been a couple times but I am looking forward to returning! And I had no safety worries as all staff was wearing masks the entire time. Plus with the high temp I'd think all virus would be diminished. We started sweating buckets around 10 minutes in. It is beyond the most extreme cardio sesh you can think of. My friend said at the end that I was glowing, so I guess the detoxing worked! One advice would be to bring layers to change into in case you get so hot out of the session but it's cold outside of the studio. CYL has a lot of cute merchandise too and various packages and memberships, come check it out!
