Ambiance: Located on Bedford ave right at the exit of the L train you will feel like home with some products coming straight from the source and a meal that worth every bite. Service: Depending on what you order your wait time can vary so while waiting check out the products imported and support your local businesses. Food: I love some well spiced up fries and they felt fresh and well cut. The Kefta Sandwich was great with its mix of flavors was something to remember. ahh I really want to rate this spot higher but I was pretty disappointed in the lamb sandwich -- the lamb was cooked very well but it was completely unseasoned. I very badly wanted to add some salt but it wasn't available. The rest of the sandwich was fine and I felt like it was a generous portion of meat, but it just lacked flavor and acidity / balance of flavors. I ordered the falafel pita, bit of a shame it's an extra charge for chummus and babaganoush so I skipped it, as well as the hot sauce. Food was ready Lightning fast and the falafel was steaming! A little cumin heavy but really delicious otherwise. I may return if I'm in the area. They have a bathroom for customers and a nice amount of inside seating. Baba ganoush: Very creamy with a lightly smoky flavor - so good I bought a large container to bring home. Hummus: Silky consistency with strong tahini notes. Could eat this by the gallon! Today I ordered a chicken shawarma plate after being sick with no appetite for over a week and this was the first thing I craved, I was given burnt to a crisp chicken more than have of my portion was not edible. I've never had an issue with the food here. This visit was at around 1230p but I'm sure the server wouldn't have paid for this and therefore it shouldn't have been served or sold. I always miss their old location that use to be located closer towards Driggs, but their new location right on Bedford it great too! I always througly enjoy my experience here. Lentil soup (which was delicious just thinking about it is making my mouth water lol. It had a lot of flavor! a lot of love went in this soup) 2. Lahmajine ( this is a blend of beef, onion, tomato, and veg and it goes really well with the garlic whip but doesn't need it) 3. Shawarma plate (which is always very yummy because you can taste the char on the meat. Also the Baba Ghanouj is incredible with this) 4. Hummus (this is also so very amazing and with the pita they have it is incredible) 5. Baklava (Thie Baklava is soooo good! phew. like really delicious guys try it! of course you can't eat it all the time but truly do recommend it. 6. Negatives: I can only speak to the shawarma plate and sandwich, specifically the shawarma. I've been wanting to try this place for years, and I feel very let down. The meat was very dry and tasteless. The hummus also was bland, the white sauce was very diluted and lacked the garlicky flavor I'd expect. Kicker: they are an establishment that serves ready to eat food, which means they should take precautions when serving... like gloves... I was a little grossed out by the person coughing everywhere and wiping his sweat and not washing his hands and having no gloves. That being said, it didn't feel like an unclean place, these are just things I noticed. The place can get busy especially at lunch or when it's late. Falafel is my favorite thing to get. I like getting a falafel plate if I'm hungry or sharing it. This is only $7 and comes with red cabbage, hummus, and pitas. It's such a good deal. The rest of the menu isn't very expensive either. If I'm by myself I'll probably get one of the pita sandwiches, as it's plenty and also so cheap. My female friend likes to share the falafel plate. We like making little sandwiches out of the pitas and putting the falafel, hummus, and red cabbage in these. Inside it doesn't have that much of an atmosphere.
