The Oasis owner Araceli showing me an Old Rose.

Since moving to the Yosemite area from LA I miss good Mexican cooking but got a taste of it today at The Oasis. My husband stops in on his route and raves about the breakfast burritos. (They offer 2 sizes,) Today I visited for the first time and tried the Chile Rellenos. The generously portioned dish was great, perfectly cooked just how I like it! The owner Araceli showed me the cute little park area they're developing right next to the cafe for parties, BBQs etc. She has plans for this corner! Thanks Oasis, I look forward to returning to try more of your delicious food.

Off Highway 140 and Hornitos Rd. In Catheys Valley. A quaint little place in the foothills outside Mariposa. The service was fast and the young lady helping was very polite and attentive. I tried to buy a bottle of water and she said "we have ice water and it's really good" I jumped all over that and aside for saving a buck it was very refreshing. As I sit under shade in the outside dining area a beautiful breeze washes over me. I'm diggin the ambiance..

We had The Oasis cater our wedding and it was absolutely delicious!! We chose to have the taco truck rather than buffet style. I was concerned at first because we had over 80 people attending but everyone was served very quickly and had more than enough time to come back for seconds or thirds We picked tacos and quesadillas, chicken, carne asada and el pastor. Everything was delicious but the El Pastor is my favorite. A wonderful family owned business, check them out!!

What a gem! The place is adorable. Outdoor seating under beautiful shade trees. Service is friendly and willing to improvise and tweak your order to accommodate your desires. Great food in a wonderful setting. Definitely will be back

Chicken and cheese sandwich and small fry. Really good sandwich!

My husband got the fried chicken and cheese sandwich, which was really good. The bacon was smoked and tasted amazing. Good little stop to eat on the way to Yosemite.

Right now Falaf-a-lot is on site and was excellent. We had a salad plate- 4 different salads with a pita and choice of protein (including falafel, chicken, lamb), fries were crispy with homemade ketchup on the side. And a lamb meatball pita with chips. Tasty! Beer was all good. No flights which I prefer, but good selection.

They have limited hours so make sure you plan for it, and they also host events throughout the week which means live music isn't always available. The ordering process is straightforward - you place your order at the front inside and then pick it up with a buzzer outside, which works perfectly for enjoying the outdoor setting. 5/5 Tomato Soup with Half Grilled Cheese was so hearty and exactly what you need after a long drive or before heading into the mountains. The soup was the best I have had in a while, with rich tomato flavor that was perfectly seasoned and had just the right consistency. The grilled cheese was nothing too special on its own, but it paired so well with the soup, especially to warm you up in the cold. The combination is classic comfort food executed beautifully, and you really can't go wrong with this order. The Grove House is absolutely worth planning your Yosemite trip around! It's the perfect stop to fuel up before heading into the park or to unwind after a day of hiking. The combination of good food, welcoming atmosphere, and that small-town charm makes it a must-visit when you're in Mariposa. I would definitely recommend trying this place out - it seems like one of the best restaurants in the area on the way to Yosemite. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and hoping to catch one of their live music nights!

Great lunch option after doing Zephyr white water rafting!…read more I ate here with my husband for lunch on a Friday around 12:30 PM. Parking was easy to find, but may be challenging if you're not staying at the connected Yosemite Bug Inn and if it's busy. We ordered at the counter and were given a metal number card. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We enjoyed coconut water and kombucha for our drinks. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive at our table outside. This is what we ordered: * Chocolate cream pie - it was chocolatey with a thin shortbread crust. Just the right amount of sweet for us. * Chipotle chicken quesadilla - I tasted a small piece and thought it was flavorful. They put a generous amount of cheese. * Bombay sandwich - Warm vegetarian sandwich with potatoes and other veg with what tasted like a pesto or vinegar based sauce. The bread was crisp and the sandwich was split in half. I enjoyed it. After tax and tip, we paid a total of $49.93. No pics this time since we were hungry :) We both enjoyed our meal overall and felt like the portions were big and satisfying. I would come back here again on another Yosemite trip!

My husband had the American breakfast one morning and the huevos rancheros the next (no photo of that one). I tried both the Farmer's Breakfast and the American breakfast. They definitely know how to cook their eggs! For dinner, my husband ordered the steak, which could've used a bit more seasoning, while I had the vegan noodle bowl. Both meals came in generous portions. We also shared two beers and an apple pie for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The service was fine, nothing over the top, but consistent. We noticed it was often the same staff working multiple days. The ambiance was really nice, with a mix of travelers and foreigners since the resort also functions as a hostel. Despite that, the vibe was always calm and welcoming, we never saw a rowdy crowd. Having this café just steps away from our room was such a convenience.
