A whole week before & we were excited to find out what this was all about. The place itself is not that small but not very spacious. We arrived promptly and were asked to wait a few minutes for them to finish with the clients before us. While waiting, we were shown the different scrubs and asked to choose 1; I decided on rejuvenate. Once ready, they asked us to undress, put on the robes & shower shoes, then head over to their "scrub room." It was located next to the facility's laundry station. The actual room itself is a shower room, but felt nothing different like a shower at the gym. That sort of icky musty feeling. My friend & I sat side by side while each lady scrubbed us down from neck down to our feet (they don't go into any private areas) After rinsing off the scrub, we were brought to our massage room for the quickest 10 minutes. Apparently the 60 minutes INCLUDED the time it would take us to rinse, change, what have you.. that we were not aware of! Sigh, maybe it was a good thing as my friend was very sensitive to any pressure her lady applied to her neck & back. Mine was decent, but like I said 10 minutes isn't enough to even relax. The ladies tending to us were awesome, they chatted with us throughout our time and we had a good couple laughs all 4 of us. You pay up front before the massage. $2 extra for credit card. Then in the massage room, the first 10 minutes is a slow build up. I felt like with the language barrier I needed to speak up more of what I preferred. So I had to mention I had a bad kink on my lower right back that I'd like her to work on. Then I had to ask for a little harder massage. She asked if I wante oil and I said yes. Then after a slower first 10 minute start I asked for more emphasis on my lower right kink on my back again. She asked if there was pain. I said yes. Then she started the magic work of bringing the hot stones as a free addition. I've never had a masseuse use all six hot stones to build up to sooth the pain on my pack before. She started with 2 then added 2 more then another 2. She lined all 6 stones in 3 rows of 2 along my spine and used the heat to sort out the kink on my lower right back. Her massage got deeper and more intense as she navigated all around my back. She said that Thai style is a very deep tissue type of massage. No kidding! I'm a medic and I got injured at work moving patients about 6 months ago. I've been on workers comp since then.
