I had to use Xu's moving company for two weeks in a row. First week was to move out and store bulky items in a storage unit. A week later, I arranged to move the same items into our new home. Ariel is easy to work with and flexible with date and times. The movers for both moves were efficient with time and super careful with our furniture and belongings. One of our L-shaped couches wouldn't fit through the door so the two movers problem-solved by launching the couch over the balcony with ropes! We used xu's moving a few months ago. They were fast and efficient but just learned that they broke the leg on one of our dressers and instead of letting us know, they screwed two screws into it to "fix it" and hid their mistake. We learned of the broken leg when we had to reposition the dresser and realized it was broken and not stable. We place our tv on this dresser and it is very unsafe knowing how the dresser has been standing on only 3 legs. Very disappointing. read more

I write this from a space where I took time to step back, reflect, and be authentic. Initially I was thrilled about the service provided by Xu's moving company. Life happened and they responded swiftly and for same day service. I was beyond grateful. My move was from a 650sqft apartment, 90% items boxed and ready, no heavy items except one cal long mattress, and o did ask for the closet l (very small) to be boxed with the wardrobe boxes they provided. The new location was 2.4 miles away. PROS: *Timely responses via Yelp * Reasonable price (especially if you pay cash $109/hr with 3hr minimum). *This price included two movers and they arrived promptly at 3 pm. *Brought their own moving truck and all the supplies * I was compensated for the mishandling of my expensive plants. CONS: * Prolonging the service to get more money. The movers had dollys and started only moving one box at a time. * Careless about your items. I had expensive plants that were smashed, ripped, and taken apart. * Moving boxes were not taped at the bottom causing items to fall out. I would have recommended the company had they tried to not gaslight me. I take great care and detail in moving as I've done it countless times. The movers changed around my boxes and then didn't tape them causing me to have items smashed and destroyed. The movers tried putting blame on me. I didn't appreciate that the intentionally went slower so that I would have to pay more for their services. read more

I will never move on my own anymore! I set my moving appointment week of and these folks works 7 days a week. The crew shows up on time with a huge truck. Neatly wrapped everything, anything that wasn't in a box they wrapped up. I had 3 stops to drop stuff off, no complaints or extra charges. Just a flat hourly rate. Wasted no time, only took a 10-15 min lunch and just powered through. Dropped off at every location and removed the wrapping and put the items exactly where they were supposed to go. My parents had about 5 days notice to move and I reached out to Xu's Moving Company to see if they had availability. I called and got in contact with Ariel who informed me that she would be available on Saturday and asked me to text her so she could give me a quote. I reached out to Ariel on Wednesday and on Thursday my mom suddenly asked if we could actually get movers on Friday, so I texted Ariel to see if she would be able to help. Long story short, between the span of 48 hours my mom had a bunch of things she was waffling on and Ariel was helpful the entire time and extremely flexible in accommodating (junk removal of different pieces that kept changing, from not needing packing services to the needing packing services, etc). Between everything she was super helpful! Then on moving day, we had 3 movers come over to help and they tirelessly helped move a decades worth of my parents' stuff without stopping, working for 6.5 hours straight of hauling things up and down 3 flights of stairs. I really can't thank Ariel & Xu's moving company enough, without them we wouldn't have been able to help my parents move in time!! No complaints. The crew worked quickly and efficiently, took good care of our things. Communication was OK, with one guy able to speak English. We moved from a second-floor 2-bedroom condo with enough stuff in it to fill the 4 bedroom house we moved into, including a few dozen boxes of heavy books, and we even asked the crew to leave things behind -- we just wanted them to move the big, heavy, and delicate stuff. We can do the rest. The China cabinet was the biggest and heaviest item, and they took care to pack the China and crystal carefully, although I had to supply the newspaper for packing. The move was estimated to take 4-6 hours, and it took exactly 6, which came out to about $1100 including truck fee and boxes we consumed, and I paid $60 tip to each crew member. I thought that was a fair price for those guys, who worked really hard without stopping to eat or drink. read more

Great service and responsive through temp app, pleasure to work with. I chose this mover because it would be easier for my father to communicate with the movers (laborers) since they spoke Chinese. They arrived right before the schedule appointment, took a look at what needed to move, asked for us if we wanted to check that the tv works beforehand, and wrapped items as needed. Our 2 movers were hard-working and got everything done within 3hrs for a 1 bedroom move with LOTS of items and well worth the price rate. One of the movers did not speak English, so for those who do not speak Chinese, you may have to ask the foreman/driver, which could be cumbersome and slow things down.
