This place was ok but the big decider for me was that I have been in the area since then and have not had the urge to return. My manicure was altogether fine for a cheapie place, but the guy who did mine was up and down answering the phone the whole time I was there and although the job he did on my nails was fine, it was so utterly not relaxing. read more

Admittedly I come here because it's right down the street but they have never failed me. Super reasonable for NYC. This is a small place. Not one where you can make an appointment and expect them to be ready right at that time. I usually walk in in the afternoon and don't wait but it depends. Always do a solid job. read more

Really enjoyable & reasonable. 65dollars for pedicure massage and manicure... had an hour & bit to wait for my husband and walked in and got seen straight away. Massage chair is deadly. Unethical and would never return. When I went to pay my total was $5.00 more then expected. When I asked about it they told me the nail polish I choose wS $5.00 extra because of the brand. I was never told about that and have never ever experienced that anywhere in the city. The price is not published and it is a scam. Avoid this place! read more

Walked in for a manicure without an appointment. Managed to get Jenny, the owner. She did a nice job but charged me $10.50 for a $10 posted price. She offered a 10 minute shoulder massage for $12 while my nails were drying. I took her up on it. BIG MISTAKE. 15 hours later and my shoulders are extremely sore, hurt to the touch and feel bruised. And, it ended up being $12.50. Not sure why 50 cents is added - it's not sales tax. I live in NJ - happened to be in the area......would consider a manicure with Jenny - but only Jenny.....will stick to my own massage therapist when my shoulders are tight. read more

Best nail salon in the west village however today I had a very bad experience! Usually I get a great mani and pedi with top notch friendly service. Today, the girl who did my pedicure wasn't nice and did a terrible job. She made no effort at all, spent about 20 seconds using the foot scrubber which I needed badly and about 15 seconds for the massage which usually is the highlight. May not go back. Disappointed. I would give Oasis zero stars if I didn't like their selection of colors. Overall, I was paying for torture at Oasis. During my pedicure I felt my cuticles being ripped from my toes and the practitioner kept using her fingernails to make sure she wasn't getting polish under my toenails-painful. Then came the piece de resistance: the manicure. She cut one of my nails so far down that it cut the quick and I yelped. After, she began to cut my cuticles, when I asked her not to she said "can I just clean them up in spots?" I replied yes and she proceeded to cut EVERY CUTICLE. At this point she asked me to pay. I left a low-ish tip on the card (I'll know from now on never to do this.) As she put me through so much pain. She then refused to finish my manicure until I gave her a higher tip! Never have I experienced such unprofessional behavior in a nail salon. I will never go back and strongly encourage anyone thinking about going to reconsider. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for almost 7 years, every weekend. This is hands down the best nail salon in the west village and I'd even say, the best manicure I've ever had. There's not another place in the neighborhood (or in nyc) that has ever compared. Every single nail tech is very talented, they use sterilized tools, have the most color / polish selection, and take a very thorough approach to all that they do. Very detail oriented. This place is irresponsible with personal property and no one should go there, or go at your own risk. They lost my sister's shoes by giving them to someone else, and were totally unsympathetic about it. They didn't offer to pay for them, or give her a credit for the manicure she had just paid for, to try to figure out what had happened to the shoes... nothing. It has been a month and the shoes never turned up. Horrible! read more

Worst pedicure I ever had. The girl did not work on all of my calluses and the salon had no paper flip flops, so you could either use a pair of used rubber flip flops or walk barefoot to the dryers. It was $34.00 for a pedicure that painted my toenails and smoothed my heels. The girl I worked with was completely ill equipped. Her massage skills were non - existence and there seemed to be no oversight from a manager. Don't waste your money or your time. read more

Jenny and her amazing team provide one of the best manicure / pedicures in the neighborhood and for a fraction of the price of other nearby places, like Spa Belles. I get a shellac gel manicure there that literally stays perfect for weeks. They take their time to make sure your manicure is perfect. This is my go to spot for nails. read more

I'm a guy but I do have 2 daughters so I decided to bring them here for a manicure before a play date. The staff was lovely and took care of my girls real well. Don't know much about quality of the nails or what not but my kids loved them. read more

I've been going to Oasis Nail for a quite a while. It's easy for me because it's right around the corner from where I live. I've been able to overlook the sometimes mediocre manicures and pedicures and the often unclean stations throughout the years- every business has their off days. However, rudeness is something i refuse to tolerate. Unfortunately, the staff at Oasis Nail has become extremely rude and inconsiderate. This behavior obviously takes away from the experience. Getting a mani-pedi should be a relaxing process, not a stressful one. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. read more
