I have been to this spa 2 times and the service was great! They start you off with hot tea and a foot soak while you relax in an over sized chair. This is not your traditional spa that is dimly lit with relaxing music. The atmosphere is comfortable and the massage ladies know what they are doing. Will visit again! read more

My review is over due. I went about a month ago. I had researched this on yelp and it was pretty true to the reviews. This is true reflexology. It hurts! But, it works. My feet felt so much better afterwards. All the crap was worked out. She also did some good work on my shoulders. When she dug her elbow into my lower shoulder I almost cried like a girl, but it definitely helped. She was also good about telling me what was going on as she worked on my feet. It is a small place and a bit cramped, but overall I loved it. I travel to HNL for business and this will always be a stop. Prices are reasonable too. Book online and get a discount. My first time to get a full foot massage, I thought this place was all about Reflexology but I guess I was wrong, not once did the therapist do a finger walk technique on any of the pressure points or meridians and through out the who entire session, my foot was in pain while being massaged and this was explained to me as " this is normal as you are very tense ", I know I'm all tensed up but gee it didn't have to hurt the whole time. The place was small, very small and the only privacy was a curtain divided the rooms, I was uncomfortable the recliner as I am a six footer, the therapist didn't explain what the cup was next to me until I looked inside and it was tea, okay - it would have been professional if the therapist explained the whole process while being prepped for my massage. The therapist used gloves which was unprofessional, especially being massaged with surgical gloves causes friction and it hurts, also using gloves is not safe as some customers might be allergic to latex, if she was scared that I have some contagious disease, I wonder if they know about certain massage lotions that contains antibacterial and I think by soaking and wiping the feet with alcohol would have be a good enough sanitation before the massage, then to my amazement she pulled off the first glove on her hand that was under another glove, she was wearing two gloves, how can a therapist feel the pressure points if her hands are double layered with gloves. The place is very uncomfortable, dirty towels with brown spots, wall decor is not pleasing and relaxing, I can hear the other customer next to me being massaged, curtains are faded and stained (reminded me of the Emergency Room), wall paint is also not pleasing and relaxing, I felt cramped up in my space while being massaged. I've had other foot massages and I thought I try out Oasis Spa because again of the Reflexology status and advertisement but really it's not a full on foot massage place to be, oh I forgot to mention that the towel at the end was freaking HOT, it was placed on my foot and then said " is it too hot " hello, your towel heater station should have a thermostat set to the right temperature but yeah it was hot, hot enough to uncurl the hair on my legs, mahalo. read more

Aaah that foot massage(reflexology)...or for some, foot "torture" is more like it. My hubby and I come here for special occasions usually when both of us are feeling "old" and worn out which normally lands on one of our birthdays, what better way to celebrate another year! Anyway, this is located on Kona street (across the Alamoana mall, where Vim & Vigor & Saint Germains is at). If you park at the mall, just walk across the street VERY CAREFULLY. They do have parking just limited especially during Saturdays. This place isn't "intimate or private" but they try to make it that way. You come in there are curtains, it serves as a "two-room" area per se, however if you're coming in as a single you may end up sharing that space with someone else (who could be quite chatty & that's the end of your spa moment). You sit on big comfortable chairs, the nice masseuse ladies bring in a foot bucket, you soak in it for about 15 minutes, you get your yogi green tea and they speak very softly to confirm the time of your service. As always I get the 10 min hands & 65 min foot. If you're lucky you get someone who's pretty strong and massages you like some kind of pizza dough to a point where you say "ouch" & the nice ladies will adjust the pressure. The ladies are mostly petite but make no mistake they will knead you to painful bliss! I myself is pretty tiny but my body can handle the pressure. I often fall asleep during the reflexology UNTIL the front door opens, the neighbor's start singing (yes it's a daycare next door and yes, this place has hollow walls (cringe)). If only the owners could find a more "private" location BUT then the overhead increases, which will increase their prices which is gonna come out of yours & my pocket (BAAAAAH..another cringe). Anyway I will recommend this place as a "fast & quick" foot massage. As far as it being an oasis or spa well, if their location changes to somewhere more quiet then it's definitely an oasis..but for now it's more like a casual quick place to get that kidney flowing again. First time at this place, and first time trying reflexology. I had no idea what to expect when I got there, and asked my friend a lot of questions before making my appointment. I can always trust her judgment so I decided to give it a try. I definitely was not disappointed. The area was small, quiet and comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant. I went in hoping that reflexology could help with weak and sore legs, injured back and just improve my overall health. Within 5 minutes, I could feel my leg feeling tingly and relaxed as my eyes wanted to roll back(like when something is unbelievably good). From that point I knew I would leave feeling much better. The therapist kept checking to make sure the pressure was ok and not too strong or weak, to be sure I wasn't uncomfortable, but to also so that I would benefit from my visit also. When my hour was up, I had to get up and walk slowly because I felt a weakness in my legs, a good sign that my legs weren't as tense as they were when I walked in. I will definitely be going back and recommend this to all my friends and family. read more

Yes, at times it hurts but my understanding is that is how it is the first time because everything is tight. As you keep going, things soften and they can go deeper. One of the very few places that actually does foot reflexology. I've been to other spas that say they do foot reflexology but it's more like a foot rub. Oasis is a small establishment that accommodates probably four people at one time. All of their therapists are great. I had an appointment with Oasis Spa today, but instead of the staff members depicted on their website, there were two newly graduated students assigned to conduct the session. The water to soak my feet was not hot enough, and after relaying that information the container of water was removed. A single towel was placed over both feet which meant that my feet did not stay warm as they were suppose to. The male student did not have a clue as to how to correctly perform reflexology because not only was he choking me with the incorrect placement of his hands, his movements were very clumsy and did not project one that was knowledgeable. He also kept digging his fingernails into my shoulders and neck. After enduring this incompetence for approximately 30 minutes, I asked for the session to stop and to have someone else continue or return another day. I was still charged for the 30 minutes of torture minus the 10% discount offered to locals. After such a botched job, one would expect to not be charged; however, this is the State of Hawaii. If I had the means to give a 0 rating, then that would have been my preference. I have had reflexology and other therapeutic massages for over 20 years, and this is the worse session that I have ever had. Normally, excruciating pain is associated with reflexology, I had none so that just tells those with any experience that this is not acceptable. My experience with Kenko was totally the opposite, and I wanted to try this establishment since this Spa was suppose to be better. I do not think that is the case because my session was conducted in a very professional manner. As I write this review, I am still experiencing the massive headache that was caused from the inept and clumsy reflexology that I had to experience today. This was my first time getting a reflexology massage. From reading the other reviews and being someone that can't take a lot of pressure during a foot massage, I was apprehensive. I opted for a 30 min neck/shoulder massage which was HEAVENLY! and a 45 min foot massage. My shoulders are always tight and this tiny woman worked the knots out of both sides! Don't let their stature fool you, they are STRONG! She then started working on my feet... Ummmm.... talk about toe-curling, knee jerking pain! But it was the good kind of pain, knowing you'll feel so much better in the end! She explained about some of the areas that she worked, like the top of the big toe represents the head and the bottom of the toe is the neck. She already knew where some of my problem areas were from massaging my neck & shoulders. That crunchy feeling you get on the bottom of our feet are the toxins that they are trying to eliminate. I have to say that I appreciate her attentiveness to how I was feeling as she periodically asked if I was okay. She took her time and worked harder on my problem areas. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, although I don't wish them the same pain. Definitely worth the price for my health! I will be going back! read more
