Visited this great bubble tea spot while in the international district of Seattle. Tried the jasmine and oolong milk teas, both were great. Comparable to the best in Cincinnati for sure. It's also a pretty nice place for a date. We ordered honey dew slush with boba. It was very sweet and taste like bubble-gum. I think it was $3.50 or something. I'm usually pretty critical about boba joints, but I really liked this place (yah yah, I'm from southern california and I call it boba, not pearl which is what they call it in norcal or bubble tea which is what it seems like people in seattle call it)... haha okay, WHATEVER you call it, I thought it was pretty good. Maybe it's just what I got which was a hot Taro Milk Tea with boba. This was delicious and they put in a lot of boba... which... I love...Even when the drink was running out there was still a lot of boba balls left :) that makes me happy. The only gripe that I had was that I had originally wanted a hot ALMOND milk tea but they didn't have the 'black tea' so they can only make it using 'green tea' or whatever. How the heck do you run out of black tea at a boba place? I sort of felt like telling them to go across the street to buy some black tea and make my almond milk tea. I mean we went there around 8 and they closed at 10... so... I mean that would only make sense to me.... but I don't know.. This place has been here for years and is crowded most of the time; that must be a good thing right? I've gone here since I was younger to get my fill of bubble tea while I was in the area and it has served me well. Over the years, this place has become a little 'run down' but I've seen worse. They have plently of seating in the place and have board games as well as a pool table to keep you around. As as as service, the employees are friendly and fairly quick. We ordered a waffle during our most recent trip there and was disappointed in how long it took to come out. Most of us had finished about half of our drinks before the waffle came out. Other than that, the waffle was prety good; topped with whipped cream, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate syrup. Nothing has happened here that would cause me to hesitate to come back! read more

I got a blank stare after I asked for that, and got steered towards "green tea with honey" for $3. It was decent, but pretty sweet for my taste. I don't really like the rating system here. The bubble tea : 4 stars. The atmosphere: 3 stars. As for bubble tea, this is my go-to place in Chinatown. The pricing is good and I have never had a bad bubble tea. (Okay, maybe once but they were extremely nice to re-make it for me!) The service is fast and you can almost always find parking spot on the street. The place is fairly clean - same goes for bathrooms (it's tolerable. i've seen worse bathroom facilities in chinatown). As for the atmosphere? Ehhh. I'm getting too old (I'm in my early 20's) for this place. So this is definitely not a place where I'd get my bubble tea here and chill. The bubble tea here is decent. Not the best, but not the worse. Lots of variety and options. I mainly go to Oasis for their Shaved Ice. It's sooo good! Oasis is a popular spot for the younger crowd, so be prepared to go elsewhere for seating if you're not lucky during their busy times. read more

But time after time, I have been embarassed in front of my friends for taking them there, because of their lack of memory of my order, or taking 20+ minutes to get something(they ran out of tea, but they wouldn't tell me). I ordered the taro pudding drink with wintermelon juice. I thought it was very interesting to say the least. The ingredients tasted alright but I probably wouldn't order again just out of personal preference. The wintermelon juice was very sweet and the taro pudding did not pair well with the juice. I'm giving it 2 stars because the woman who rang me up was not paying attention to me when I was ordering and had to ask me twice about the one item I had ordered. She was also curt with me in doing so. Their set-up inside did not make me want to hang around and enjoy my drink, which took them 15 minutes to make. I think Oasis stands out because of their "not-overly sweet" bubble tea. The regular milk tea is just the right amount of sweetness, while the Taro milk tea is sweeter but not crazily so. The one thing that I would recommend for adventurous foodies is to switch from regular boba to the puddings that they offer. For example, if you're stuck between choosing milk tea and taro milk tea-- go for the milk tea with the taro pudding OR the taro milk tea with the egg/milk pudding. It was my first time in Chinatown last week and I knew I was going to get boba after dinner. I saw a couple places and decided to try this one first. I ordered honey green tea with boba (as usual). Having tried so many boba places in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and also here in WA, this place was a little higher than average on my list. The reasons? I could taste the tea in my drink while a lot of other places only taste like water with sugar. I couldn't taste much honey but at least the sweetness was just right. The boba was chewy which was real important to me. They have a huge selection to choose from and when I'm in town again, I will definitely try other flavors. This is a great place to go for boba / bubble tea. The menu is massive with at least 50+ drinks. Tons of options and combinations. They also have a lot of bubbles, jellies, agar, etc. My favorite: coffee milk tea with coffee jelly. They only have 1 size drink...wish they had a smaller size. Ambiance: large space. Oasis gets 1 star for attempt at trendy decor. There are many drink options and jelly/boba options which are worthy of another star. However, the quality of the milk tea leaves much to be desired. In order to judge Oasis fairly, I chose to order a plain iced milk tea. No boba. No synthetic flavorings. I did not want anything to obscure the taste of what I ordered. In addition, regular milk tea is the most basic drink and every place should be able to make this. Although I have to say, not every place can, and that is why I ordered it. I am a milk tea snob. I often drink home made milk tea made with tea leaves bought specially from Hong Kong. What I received at Oasis was quite poor. The drink was lacking in terms of tea flavor. Instead, it was heavily milk based. Now, this is a personal preference, many people prefer more milky tea with less tea flavor. I understand that. The thing is, the milk tea had a bit of an odd after taste... almost almondy. Which leads me to believe that Oasis uses powdered milk for the milk tea. Yeah, yeah. Powdered milk isn't evil or anything. But it is certainly a cheaper ingredient and leads to a less rich tasting milk tea. Frankly, I'm pretty surprised at the high ratings of this place. Do people not taste their drinks properly? Well, whatever I guess. Different strokes for different folks. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll give their other drinks a go. read more

Decent bubble tea selection and staff. With a billion and multiple special flavors, I get a new flavor every time. My favorite: honeydew with boba. The scene is a bit young (think college age), and gets a bit loud at night. My advice: go early, especially if you plan on chatting with peeps. Pretty mediocre place but this is the only place that is open during the night therefore it was really packed Boba here is pretty good but i cant compare to boba in los angeles, mainly in the SGV area. Ambience was pretty nice, very friendly and outgoing. There is a lot of board games, and you can buy a deak of cards there for a really cheap price. Since there were a lot of people there, it was really loud. This place can fix my boba craving when I'm in Seattle but it wont be able to replace boba from cali. Theres not much customer service. I really like their bubble teas, spicy popcorn chicken, and I love that they don't close till late (always nice when you get the late night munchies). But their shaved "ice" is a different story. To start, it's more soup than ice. Though the dessert had just came out, it melted before our third bite. My friend and I needed to get a second helping of ice. When we had plain shaved ice that's not coated in sugary flavors, we noticed the ice tasted funky; unfiltered funky tap water that left us with bitter dry mouths. I hope this gets fixed. The water quality is my biggest issue. The funky water taste really irritated me. The rest is just basic troubleshooting. Finding a better ice to topping ratio? Other places place the "toppings" on the bottom of the bowl to slow the ice melting. Whatever it is, I really hope they can find a solution for it, because $7 for funky tasting cold soup is best left at the airport. read more
