Authentic taste! On our first visit, we enjoyed the chilaquiles, enchiladas verdes, chips and guacamole & the Oaxacan horchata which was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Our server, Genaro, was incredibly attentive, friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. We loved it so much that we came back a second time. This visit, we tried the caldo de res (Genaro's recommendation), and it was absolutely delicious. I felt revived after every spoonful. We also ordered the trio chilaquiles with red, green, and mole sauces which was a great way to experience all the flavors. The real showstopper, though, was the café de olla. It was the perfect blend of warmth, spice, and sweetness. Such a wonderful way to start the morning!! Great food, genuine hospitality, and an experience that keeps us coming back. Highly recommend!

I've never had an Oaxaca taco but I love how this place does it! Their corn tortilla is so fresh and tastes like it's homemade. I tried their asada taco, which is topped with onions, cilantro, red and avocado salsa. I also tried their Shrimp Fajita, which comes with a side of rice, beans, and tortillas. This dish was served piping hot and was the star of the show! The shrimp was nice and plump and the sautéed veggies were so flavorful. Not to mention their decor--it's super festive with a stage for live performance. The restaurant is fairly spacious with two big screen TVs. Service is decent and food is great so I'll definitely be coming back!

The café de olla is one of the best I've ever had. Everything we ordered had authentic flavoring and textures. The empanadas with chorizo and papas were perfectly crunchy and delicious. The steak with the enfrijoladas was so tender and fresh. I love mole and am super particular but the mole negra blew my socks off. The mix of fajitas were very fresh as well. Service was good. The music from the kitchen definitely set the vibe that the cooks/chefs were the real deal. The only negative was there was no towels in the bathroom or seat covers. We will definitely come back to try more items though.

Kelvin took good care of us. The food was on point, really authentic and enjoyable! All dishes that came out were devoured by our table. The music and decor are all charming. The table decor is spot on for the vibe. I recommend you all check this place out. We'll be back.

My friend & I came here yesterday for late lunch. It was our first time here. Place was pretty empty since it was an odd time so we got seated right away. Atmosphere was cute & festive. Service was nice & they provide comped chips if you ask for it but service is slow. My friend tried the caldo de pollo & I tried the chicken mole tacos. It was my first time trying mole & surprisingly, it wasn't as sweet & flavorful. The corn tortilla was fresh & tasted authentic. The chicken was tender too. I tried some of my friend's caldo de pollo & the broth tasted healthy & homemade. It was delicious & my friend enjoyed it as well. I just wish the temp of the broth was hot & not lukewarm. Before we left, I ordered chicken enchiladas to take home for my husband. He loved it. I also tried some of it & it was thumbs up. I like that their menu has extensive options to choose from & they all sound appealing. I look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu

The service was amazing! The attention and enthusiasm was very well noticed. Very patient staff and full of excitement for what you choose to order. It feels so warm and colorful in there definitely made it feel so authentic. The food is amazing! So delicious and with that Oaxaca authenticity taste you don't always get everywhere. I ordered online twice and it so much better dining in. Will be back for sure! Everyone was awesome there but Alan was our server and he was super friendly and energetic thank you Alan! Keep being awesome

Finally had a chance to try Oaxaca Village in Artesia--and I'm so glad I did! I live nearby and have been curious about it for a while. Went with a group of friends and we had a great experience from start to finish. We ordered margaritas (so good!), Tlayuda, huarache nopal, flor de calabasa empanadas, guacamole, and my personal favorite--queso fundido. Everything was flavorful and fresh, but that queso fundido was next level! The atmosphere is casual and great for hanging out, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back soon to try their moles--I've heard great things. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or just love authentic Oaxacan food!

My family and I came here for Mother's Day weekend and we absolutely loved it! The food was incredibly delicious, the service was excellent, and the live music made the celebration even more special for all the mamas. Such a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!

This place is amazing! The food and customer service were both excellent. The mole negro was absolutely delicious, and the horchata was hands down the best ever. Definitely recommend! A must especially on Mother's Day!

Came in during lunch time. There was no one inside. The guy taking our order wanted us to order almost right when we got the menu but since it was our first time we were really looking through it. My tlayuda was underwhelming. Where was the Oaxacan cheese?! The chicken was dry. There was barely enough mole on the whole thing. The tortilla part got super hard right away, almost stale honestly. It was a bummer because I love going to new Oaxacan food places. My friend liked her torta, gave that a 3/5.

Cafe de Olla and Oaxacan Hot Chocolate

Such friendly staff, amazing food, and beautiful decor. Everyone is so friendly and the cafe de olla was delicious. Can't go wrong with anything you order. Kelvin was very kind and attentive, making sure we were well cared for.

I had a beautiful experience in this place, the waiter Alan was very attentive and fun with us, even dancing when delivering the food, very good customer service, the food delicious, the mezcal margaritas that we ordered very well prepared, we grabbed mango and jamaica. From eating, we ordered melted oaxaca cheese and a large tlayuda to share between 3. It was very filling. Price is affordable. They have live music. Outside there is plenty of parking and it is close to the freeway. There is no regrets if you visit this place. I highly recommend them.

Is your mole gluten free? Do you know if it has flour/wheat in it? Thank you!

Hi , im Alan and to let you know our mole is gluten free and does not have flour or wheat as ingredients:) thank you for asking !

There's a sign outside that stays LA street burritos sold here. What exactly does this kind of burrito look like?

slightly larger version of the classic Mexican burrito: a guisado with stewed or refried beans, salsa or chile, and cheese is considered an LA style burrito. Some also grill the burrito to slightly toast the tortilla

Hello, I hope you are well. Do you use peanuts (cacahuates) in your mole or almonds (almendras)?

Yes Our mole we do have cacahuates and almendras.

The bar was bustling for the game which I was happy to see but upon entry, there was a gal in crutches ahead of me and I heard the door kid say they were at capacity. I checked in with him with my service dog and immediately said, we are at capacity and don't allow dogs. I let him know I have a seat waiting for me at a table, said my dog is a service dog, and simply said, "I'm sorry we're at capacity and dont allow dogs." I understand the capacity thing. So I went outside and called my friend who was inside to tell him I couldn't come in because the bar was at capacity. My guy friend came out and gave me a hug. My friend then talked to the door guy and said that door guy said, "He said he'll let you in but not your dog." I confirmed with him, "So you lied about being at capacity and are denying my service dog? Because you just told my friend you'd let me in." He tried to explained that the bar is busy and that that is how the owner runs it. I asked to speak to a manager. A manager comes out, or claims to be, saying she owned the bar, and never introduced her name. She was wearing 49ers jersey, blonde hair. I explained the situation to her and said, "you can't turn away service dogs, that's a violation. Do you understand that?" She then proceeded to explain to me that because the bar is busy and people are spilling drinks SHE does not feel comfortable having a dog in her bar. I again said, he is here for me, he is a certified service dog, and sits under the table, as my dog is just standing there. I asked, "Wouldn't that be MY call if I was comfortable if my service dog and I were in here or not?" She responded, "No, it is my bar so it's my call." She proceeded to say, "Look you can come here on a Monday with him and youll be fine. I love dogs more than I like humans, my sister has a service dog, etc. Etc." None of her banter ok's the fact that she outrightly denied entry of a patron with service dog and initially claiming to ve of capacity but lied about that as well. Horrible door experience and unfortunately I will have to report this to the DOJ as an ADA violation. This review is to document the occurrence and advise those planning to bring service dogs to be aware they will make excuses to not let you and your working animal in. For the owner, hi, just FYI businesses must allow service animals unless they pose a direct threat (in which mine did not). You violated both federal ADA and CA laws.

Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. Food and drinks were enjoyed and the service and staff were excellent. Street parking available along the front but also along the neighborhood.
