    Oatmeal with Fruit and granola
    John F.

I have eaten at Off Street Cafe over the years on a very regular basis. And the service is excellent except for today, I got stuck with Nate - bad attitude and bad service ! I always request the same thing the fruit and granola oatmeal... and I ask them to substitute the banana for the strawberry. This guy was not paying attention. He brought out oatmeal with strawberry and banana, I called him over and said I requested the oatmeal with no strawberry. At that point he looked at me bothered and said you don't need to be rude, which I wasn't. I would Never let this guy work for me.

I support local businesses. Been here multiple times. The two reception folks, on a Saturday morning, a male and a female ( a smile would be nice) . A weird look at the customer doesn't help . I am also working in a service industry. I get that. I hear them laugh, that's good. That's says a lot of the work culture. Customer service maybe needs improvement. And using personal phones? Hmmmm...

Well I'll be damned, this place really has my heart now! Food, ambiance, and service were phenomenal no need to sugarcoat it. The blackened chicken was good, just a little overpowered with the seasoning, but overall still solid. Definitely coming back.

Yelped a place for breakfast near Cerritos. Found this place in an industrial commercial lot. Drove around following gps but found it. Not a typical breakfast location but plenty of parking. No wait when we came in. Sat right away outdoor patio area. Super nice morning and busy for a Thursday at 9am. Staff was super friendly. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. Food was good. Coffee was amazing. Potatoes were a little over cooked and hard but the rest was good. Nothing spectacular but enjoyable. Inside was nice and clean. Very busy but gave good vibes

I came here on a Friday lunch wow this place is busy! I got the off street with the pancakes. It was just OK. The place is noisy and very loud. I'm not sure if I will come back,

Everything about this place is five stars I just wish it had a bigger parking lot, place gets really busy and sometimes parking is a challenge . The food is delicious, by far my favorite breakfast place and I only learned about it about four months ago ! I usually get the garden omelette, which comes with hashbrowns & toast but I usually substitute the toast for two pancakes, which is three dollars more, my husband gets an omelette and he keeps the toast and we just share the toast & the pancakes. The omelette has fresh pieces of vegetables in it , gives it a nice crunch and bursting with flavor! I've had the French toast, which is really good ! They also make their own jam, which is so delicious ! I look forward to a piece of toast with jam every time I go, the peach and the raspberry are my favorite. The wait staff is on top of things! In spite of it being so busy, they are quick, friendly and efficient every time! I kind of don't wanna leave this review and gate keep the place but that just wouldn't be nice ! My husband and I are retired and we have been going there at least once a week , it's so so so good! I had to edit this review because I wanted to mention that I was reading some of the other reviews and somebody said the pancake " just OK" I am very picky about my pancakes and these pancakes are so good ! Served with warm syrup and lots of butter! But very flavorful without anything on them too. Fresh squeezed orange juice as well ! I forgot to mention that! What more could I look for in a breakfast spot?

My favorite breakfast spot in Cerritos. Typical diner fare, but high quality. I've only tried a small handful of the breakfasts cause I'm the type of person who keeps ordering what I like lol. Staff is friendly and always attentive. If I'm alone I'll sit at the counter and make small talk with the locals

Fast friendly service. Good food and large portion size. Corned beef hash and chicken fried steak were delicious.

Tucked on a corner across from Gahr High School, this small café is easy to miss, but don't! The place is packed with families, groups, and solo diners. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs & bacon (pro tip: drizzle the side salsa on top to have your mind blown ) and a giant latte I couldn't finish but was offered a to-go cup, which saved the day. Fast-paced and bustling, not the place to linger, but the food and coffee are worth every bite. Definitely coming back!

We've been coming here for a few years. Our favorite breakfast spot close to home. Consistently delicious every single time. Fast, attentive, and friendly service. Mimosas as well? So goooodd.

I've been coming here since nursing school at Cerritos College, so almost 9 years now, and the consistency is honestly what keeps me coming back. No matter how long it's been, the food and service are always good. I usually stop by after leaving night shift, and thankfully I normally don't have trouble getting seated early in the morning. Weekends after 9 a.m. are a different story though, this place gets PACKED, which honestly tells you how good it is. My go-to items are the Belgium waffle, cinnamon roll French toast, home style potatoes, and sausage links. Everything always comes out hot, fresh, and fast. They also have a huge menu, so there's something for everybody. The service is always friendly, even when they're super busy, and they do a great job keeping things moving. Definitely one of my comfort breakfast spots over the years.

My friend has been raving about this place for quite some time but also the reviews are great. Finally decided to give it a try. This place fills up quick so the wait can be a bit long. We waited for 40 minutes which wasn't too bad. They have indoor seating and an outdoor seating area as well. During the rain they have a patio cover as well. Our waiter was nice but I wish she was more personable. No smile and monotone. I did ask for a recommendation or if she thinks the ribeye steak & eggs would be better than their scrambles and omelettes . She stated " well one is just meat." She isn't wrong but I wish she was better at making a recommendation. I did end up order a ribeye steak with eggs, sausages, and coffee. I ordered for the ribeye to be medium and it was well done. The homemade salsa they seem to rave about was extremely watery and it did not taste good. Their food needs a lot of extra seasoning in my opinion.

Off Street Cafe is a local diner with great breakfast options. Wife went with chicken fried steak and I went with their spicy "Melecio", which was an omelet that blanketed carne asada, serranos, onions, cilantro, and cheese. It came with a ton of seasoned potatoes. I upgraded my bread for pancakes for only $3. The meal came with a nice house made salsa. I also appreciate that they've upgraded the decor and interior since I last visited. Overall, it's a solid breakfast spot and I'm glad that I was able to get flavors and spice with my diner-style omelet. The upgrade to pancake was a no-brainer for $3. Great local breakfast option!

If I were to show up on a Saturday at 10 how long would the wait roughly be? Would I need to be showing up earlier if I'd like to be seated at a specific time?

They get busy. Probably 30 to 40 min

Do you take reservations? If not can you give me an estimated wait time for a party of nine on a Saturday around 9:30 pm? Just an average wait time for this size party. Thanks.

I believe they don't do reservations. They would have a waiting list. I've gone on a Saturday around noonish and waited an hour to be seated. It gets very busy on weekends but I'd say it's worth the wait.

Do you guys have bottomless mimosas? If so, how much is it?

We do not have bottomless mimosas. We serve mimosas by the glass at $7 each. Thank you for your…

What is the outdoor dining capacity?

We can seat approximately 40 people on our patio.

Will you be open on 12/31?

We will be open from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm

What are the chances of getting a party of 15 seated at 12:00 on 10/31?

Slim to none..., if you just show up unannounced. I'd recommend calling ahead to see if they can reserve a table(s), which they do from time to time.

Are they done with the Yelp waiting list? I noticed it hasn't been available for a few weeks, and that was the #1 reason we would make it out there for breakfast 😔 since we're not locals.

We decided to remove the yelp waitlist because it was causing over extend wait times. Since moving away from yelp waitlist our wait times for party’s here have gone down from an hour and thirty minutes to about forty-five to an hour. We are sorry…

Can i buy your granola? ITS SO GOOD!!!

I don't think so but you can always call an ask. 562-402-9665

Hi, just read on your website, that's better to call and make reservations. I just did that, your host said that you guys do not take reservations. Question for owner, I would like to make reservations two weeks from now, is that possible?

They do not take reservations. They used to use Yelp check in which was helpful given the popularity and long wait times of the restaurant but I was told today by one of the two men running the restaurant that they are no longer using Yelp. No…

    Do you serve alcohol? Mimosas?

Yes we do! We have mimosas, bloody Mary’s, screw drivers, michaeladas and bellinis

What's the biggest your party can be at a table?

When reserving it says for 7+ persons you have to call the restaurant.

Will you guys be open on Fourth of July?

They are open on July 4th.

What is there vegan menu like?

Not that good at all. You can find fruit, but overall this food is like processed and like eating at a diner/truck stop food

    Are you open on Thanksgiving?

Hi Wade, We are closed on Thanksgiving. We’re open regular hours on Friday. The Off Street Cafe…

Do they have sugar free syrup?

    Yes by request

I started with an Old Fashioned drink, which was solid - strong enough to pack a little punch but still taste good. With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and casual. Our server was the one who really recommenced the Frachos, which was a great call. I've been to Eurekas before and always been satisfied. Today was my first in-house visit to the Stand (have ordered delivery in the past - so have been a…read morefan of the food for awhile), and although I don't generally love counter ordering, I was pleasantly surprised by the incredibly friendly service and the fact that even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon, we didn't wait very long either in the line or for our food to make it to the table. I can't say I'll go out of my way to eat here [in person], just because when I dine out I prefer a more traditional 'dining out' experience, but I certainly recommend it if you're in the area, and it will be on the list the next time I'm around and want to just chill with a burger and a beer with a friend or two. Pricing didn't upset me much - $75 for three people, which included two sides, a beer, a fountain drink, and a shake, in addition to our main orders. So, not bad for 2026. Big ups for the free pickle slices, too. :)
