You won't find a better deal than OC Guns. Scott and RJ are hard working people who will stay open much later than typical store hours to tend to customers needs. Most of the customers that swing by end of staying for hours to hang out, simply because they enjoy being there. UPDATE (During COVID-19): Keep up the good work guys!!!!! I stopped in to bring them lunch the other day because I've been a customer/friend for years and they were swamped. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from a few members of the general public. I'm going to answer some commonly asked questions....... 1.) Do you have to wait in line? YES!! We are in a crisis. Of course there's a line. I waited for my turn, so you can too. They have earned my business and my money for the foreseeable future because of the way they treated me as a customer. They were very kind and outgoing, as well as funny, when assisting me. I came into their store 5 minutes before they closed at 6pm (i work 8-5pm so getting their around 530pm is really tough) and they stayed open for me so I could finish my paperwork in order to begin my 10 day waiting period on a ar-15 lower receiver i had ordered and sent to their shop. The process was so easy when ordering from Palmetto State Armory, as they were a pre-authorized FFL with paperwork on file with PSA. All I had to do was set OC Guns as my "Preferred FFL" on my PSA account, order my stripped lower receiver, and validate that OC Guns was going to be the shipping recipient. Then PSA handled everything and sent the receiver to OC Guns since their paperwork was in their records, all without me having to contact OC guns. It was so so easy! and once I saw that my shipping tracker notified me that the package had been delivered to their store, I just went into their shop, told them my name so they could find the package in storage, and began the FFL transfer process. No need to prevalidate with OC Guns since they had already done business with PSA, it made the process a breeze. Especially with their great staff, who were able to kick up a easy-going conversation while filling out my paperwork. Overall, they made my first experience buying the firearm component used to assemble my first AR-15 super great. I would recommend them to anyone interested in buying their first firearm and would suggest working with a website that will ship to them without having to notify both parties, like Palmetto State Armory. They wont have too much in stock, but whatever is in stock is priced appropriately compared to prices on other popular websites. Scott, Greg, and RJ all helped me on a few occasions at OC Guns. This place has a different feel from some other places in that the staff NEVER make you feel unwelcome for being new to owning firearms, or firearms training. Some places I've been when I first started shooting would treat you like crap if you had a question, a lot of gun shop employees act like jerks I've noticed, but not these guys, they are truly a cut above and offer a great atmosphere at OC Guns, I mean they even have a couch in there lol. Scott was so awesome in even being willing to stay open an extra hour for me to pick up my firearm because of the DROS pick up time, I would have had to wait over the weekend but he helped me out. They bought a pistol of mine, and offered a good price and it was a simple transaction. They also have a good price for transferring a firearm from another source such as online at only $65 out the door. They have a good selection of pistols and rifles including some great AR variants. OC Guns staff are very courteous and knowledgeable, even offer CCW training or firearms safety / proficiency training with Greg, so it is for these reasons and more that I say this is by far the best shop I've been to in OC or Southern California. read more

So I had some questions about buying a firearm in California for sale recently moved from Arizona and the laws are a lot different here and the guy working there that answer my questions acted like I was some left wing liberal right in the streets because I don't meet the residency requirements for the state of California they're very particular and he Made somewhat derisive statements to the affect of "well we take our firearms seriously here in California ...you know it's not just going in the store buying a stereo or something ...its serious business .told me to go home basically and look online. Well I respect firearms ,had my own since I was 12 years old. I love that i can walk. In this shop and immedietly feel welcomed, im comfortable just walkimg and and chating a bit while i wait to be up next in line....these guys have amazing customer service alot better than nearby shops that seem like they are always grumpy (wont say who because this review is about oc guns) but they have a couch and couple chairs that customers are welcome to....now pricing i have compared pricing and shoped them around to double check , and i have found thay their prices are almost always same as online shopping ( really low prices) and i skep out on having to do the mpre expensove transfer when ordering online....seriously i was looking for a friendly gun shop that wont brake the bank and this was it.....selection is limited to glocks smith and wessons and springfileds but they can order anything for you that you may want and it will be there in couple days with no extra charge ..honestly these guys are the shit! First off, as soon as I walked into the shop RJ welcomed me and made me feel comfortable as I asked 101 questions, and he always had a knowledge answer to each question. This is certainly my go to place for any firearm related purchases.. I try to get all my files firearms from OC guns as they are a bunch of standup guys honorable and it's honorable and there are always willing to work with you on pricing and if they can't get something for you they will try their darn hard at hardest to make it happen for you. The one thing I wish they did carry more of was bulk ammo however their shop I've heard their shop is on the smaller side so I understand why they don't do that but it would certainly be nice to have a place like that close to home. read more

Great store if you are looking for Glocks or Spikes AR lowers. They also sold a variety of ARs, AKs, Shotguns, and other bolt action type rifles. I took my Firearms Safety test here and bought my first handgun, a Glock 19. The price on the Glock was lower compared to the other local gun stores. Everyone how worked there was very hospitable and laid back, but professional at the same time. The only downside is that they don't have too much ammo for sale. I used to like this place as of a few years ago, even purchased a few firearms but now they're a bunch of 'busy' guys. Maybe too busy...I ordered some ammo online and had it delivered here because they advertise the lowest transfer price but when I got there an hour after it was delivered they still charged me $25 instead of $6 they advertise. Worst experience ever. My sister-in-law went in to buy a gun. Totally ripped her because she was a woman and inexperience. These guys are the worst kind of predators. They charged her more than three times it's retail price. When we confronted him about the price we discovered it wasn't even a new gun.
