My family goes here almost every time we visit Ocean City, Maryland. The food here is absolutely delicious and very satisfying. Our stomach is always full after we eat here. We ordered their 5 piece falafel, the makdous (eggplant stuffed with walnuts and roasted red peppers), a crispy chicken sandwich and an order of Baba Ghanouj. Every dish had pita bread, which was pillowy soft, yum. The falafel was very good, although I thought a bit overcooked. The hummus that came with it was thin/watery, not my favorite. The Baba was good, but not great. The makdous was ok, but since this was my first time trying it, I have nothing to compare it to. It was pickled rather than slightly sweet, which I had imagined when I ordered it. My husband thought the crispy chicken sandwich was ok, but not spectacular. I would go back and would recommend. As soon as my husband and I entered this restaurant we were greeted with smiles and kindness from everyone who worked there. We got the hummus, Greek salad, and a steak and chicken kabob. The food was delicious and super fresh. The steak kabob was mouth watering. Our food was brought outside to us and we were politely asked a few times if we need anything else or how our visit was. This review is not negative but rather suggestive. Our food was excellent! My gyro was hot and delicious, the lamb was cooked perfectly. The vegan dishes we tried were all outstanding, very flavorful and fresh. We were very happy with our meal. My suggestion to the owner, and he's a very nice guy, would be to train and enforce his staff to clean the place. It was absolutely filthy. Every table top was dirty with the last patrons crumbs, smears and crud. The floor needed sweeping and general appearance was dated and sloppy. Now the worst part was the bathroom. Filthy would be an understatement, it was deplorable. The trash can in the corner, about 30" tall, was almost completely buried and covered in trash and used hand wipes. For a trash can to be that buried it would take days of trash to build up which means they never clean. I can't understand how they could let it get that bad especially considering that they had plenty of staff standing around behind the counter. Usually you can tell the quality of the food by how clean the place is and when you see a filthy bathroom you prey that the kitchen isn't kept the same way. Fortunately for us, the food was outstanding. I hope the owner can make some changes because there aren't too many other Mediterranean restaurants in the area. read more

Ordered a Greek gyro salad- fresh, delicious tzatziki style dressing. Cucumbers, tomatoes, soft feta, and a smattering of red onion. A hearty serving of shaved gyro meat, full of flavor. The beef gyro was also tasty. Let's not forget the scrumptious tzatziki appetizer with warm, seasoned pita. The strawberry smoothies was refreshing and tasted naturally sweet. We were at TJ Maxx and looking for a lunch spot and decided to stop by there . I'm so glad we did ! The food was delicious ! I'm upset I didn't find this place earlier during our stay. I had the falafel sandwich I haven't had falafel this good in years . My boyfriend went with the chicken&shrimp skewer . We also got mozerella sticks (stuffed with cheese) which came with fries . The portions were generous and the food was fresh . The staff was super friendly . The tzaziki sauce was on point as well. Really enjoyed this place . Recently moved to a better location. Now at 118th Street. Food is fabulous. Been going to this place for 20 years+ and they never disappoint. Love the kabob platters and the gyros. My favorite is the gyro platter which comes with a generous portion of the sliced lamb found in their gyro sandwich, along with rice and salad. Tasty appetizers too like fresh made hummus with pita strips. Owner and staff are extremely personable. We stop by every year to say hello and eat at this wonderful establishment. Decided to order lunch from here while relaxing on the beach all morning while staying at the Carousel. Looked at the online menu and ordered. We got a little of everything. Falafel, makdous, gyro sandwich, beef kabob sandwich, lamb kabob. I walked to pick it up after I ordered. It was ready as soon as I walked in. Got back to the beach to eat lunch with the family. The word needs to get out that their ADDRESS IS 11805 COASTAL HIGHWAY NEXT TO FOOD LION. We missed going to O.C. last year , some time since two years ago they moved to their current location. I'm surprised by the outstanding reviews of this place (which is what led me to the restaurant in the first place), and I hate to be bring an end to the 5 and 4 star reviews but honestly, this is a 3 star kind of place for the following reasons. 1) expensive. Don't let their high-ish price fool you, you won't be getting your money's worth in terms of portion size. I ordered the kafta kabob entree and I was served one small-ish kabob. One. Not two, but one. I've never been to a restaurant that serves you one skewer, and a small skewer at that. 2) freshness of food. Thankfully the kafta tasted fresh (a bit too salty but still good) but the salad they served as my side was not fresh. The tomatoes were soft and a bit rubbery and some of the cucumbers were on the soft side too. Also, they don't give you a traditional middle eastern salad, which is a surprise. The salad lacked lemon juice and salt, it was only seasoned with olive oil and sumac. 3) timeliness. They give priority to takeout orders even when they come after you. We waited nearly 20 minutes for our food in this take-out style type of place. Two differed people came in after us for takeaway and got their food before us. I took a look around the place and all of the dine-in people were sitting at their table waiting for their food that they had ordered before the take-out customers. They kept us waiting much too long. It's good-ish food, just not great. They do make fresh falafel, which is a plus. If they would simply offer more generous portions, use only the freshest of ingredients, and not keep you waiting so long, I would go back. Then again, since this is the food I grew up on, I may be more particular than those who didn't grow up eating this type of food. read more

Stopped in this weekend with my boyfriend while visiting OC and oh wow was I surprised! Definitely didn't think we would find a decent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean place, if at all. Took my wife there on a whim, wanting badly for the kabobs of the like of Rose Kabob in Vienna, VA. With a location in OC, I expected absurd costs and poor food. My preconceived notions were dashed upon the serving of the appetizer. We started with a humble order of humus. What we received was a bowl of hummus topped with four chick peas sprinkled lightly with sumac, wedges of fried bread arrayed around the bowl's edges. And the taste. I am uncertain whether OC Kabob's owners make the hummus fresh but it was excellent! A hint of garlic, a little citrus, sesame... wonderful. My wife ordered chicken kabob and I ordered beef. The servings of meat were somewhat smaller than one would find in Northern Virginia, however, NoVa establishments have a tendency to serve you two person's worth of meat. The chicken was moist and reasonably tasty although not on par with the better establishments in NoVa. The beef was interesting, though: slightly gamey in flavor, almost aged but nonetheless enjoyable. Each meal was served with a vegetable kabob of onion, green pepper, and tomato. While neither of us are fans of tomato straight-up, we both appreciated having some good veg on the side. Of particular note, the rice served with the entrees was cooked in some sort of broth and mixed liberally with lentils. Very nice! I'll be a little conservative and start them with three stars. Admittedly, I've grown rather attached to the huge skewers of kabob served in NoVa. More meat would be welcome. read more

For the last three years, we have made OC Kabob our annual stop for the long weekend beach trip. Located in the Gold Coast Mall on 115th Street, the restaurant also has an attached cafe (Caffe Cafe). The menu is large and varied with many Middle Eastern/Greek staples. The falafel is my favorite - perfect on a salad with a side of their great hummus and baba ghanoush. Their pitas have a wonderful smoky flavor, and complement the dips quite well. Also generous portion sizes for the price. Totally worth a stop as you drive up or down Coastal Highway! read more

I love OC kabob, after eating at two other places while I was in Ocean City I have to admit this is the best one. The other two were overpriced compared to this one. I found this place while shopping in the mall and it came to me as a surprise. Usually I don't eat at unknown places but I decided to try this one since it looked good and my stomach was empty. I was with my brother and we decided to order a platter, which included two kabobs and some humus + fries. It was very delicious and the cost was right, can't remember now but it was under $10 per person, including drink. They also have wide variety of other items, they also have some good gyros that I'll try next time I'm there. The owner is a very nice man and we were served by him. Next time I visit Ocean City I know where to go if I am unsure of my food choice. P.S. I sampled the Baklava, it was amazing! read more

Weird location. Totally worth it. My home office is in Glendale CA. Heavy Armenian population which means heavy kabob availability. I don't know the exact origin of the folks who run this place, but their kabob was as good as I have had and I have had a lot of kabob! I had the chicken and will go back tomorrow on the way to the airport for lunch and am going to get it again as a combo with the beef.
