Love this local spot for hard to find beers. Also, recently tried their breakfast burrito on the weekend and OMG, so good! Their egg/potato ratio was perfect. There was an insane amount of meat! So this review is for the breakfast burritos. I've come by here picking up wine or doing a tasting, but had been hearing about these breakfast burritos. The hubs & I stopped in after a bike ride (great lot to park right in front to keep an eye on your bikes btw) and both got burritos, and of course a mimosa! They were delicious! And huge...so plan to share or bring half home for later. I opted for no cheese and it was still so yummy. Not greasy at all. Loved the green sauce as well. Came here just for their breakfast burritos on the weekend after hearing about it. I was skeptical because this is a wine mart. But the burritos did not disappoint! You have your choice of typical breakfast meats (I chose bacon) but the employee mentioned they could do any of their deli meats technically as well. You can also add little things like pico de gallo for an extra charge. The burritos were filling, flavorful, and had a great cheese pull. The basically made quesadilla as the outside of the burrito. I tried both their red and green salsas. The red one is a bit spicy and the green is avocado based. Both were really good. I definitely recommend getting extra sauce. Since the burrito was too much for me, I got a great breakfast the next day. Definitely one of the best breakfast burritos in the area! read more

I have no idea how this establishment has a 4.6 rating. I should have known when there was nobody inside. We ordered the deli sandwiches but then told they had no provolone cheese. However, I saw a big new unopened provolone inside their display refrigerator. I asked the server and he said "Oh, no we can't use that one yet because it hasn't been opened yet." WTH! So I guess you can say the service was terrible because he had no desire to work there as his attitude told us that. The sandwich bread was unbeatable because it was so dry my water didn't even help. The pickle had a weird taste as if you were drinking unfiltered water. I cannot believe how they tried to make this into an Italian-style deli!!!! Then their beer taps were mostly out of order. This place is unbelievably fun! It's like a wine arcade. OC Wine Mart & Deli is in an unassuming shopping center right off the 55 in Orange. Upon first entering, it does seem like a typical wine market but I had gotten a tip from a friend about the tastings so I asked the cashier. He got a set up with a refillable tasting card. It looks just like a credit card, even has a chip, for us to use at the self serve tasting machines. The self serve tastings are pretty self-explanatory and super fun. There's a selection of over 30 wines to choose from. You put your card, chip side in, into the slot next to the wine you want, select your wine and pour size, and off you go! It's super neat and nothing I had ever seen before. There was a great selection of wines available and the wine manager was super kind to come around and answer any questions and give recommendations. We are looking forward to coming back on a night when they have live music (every Friday) and signed up for their emails to hear about upcoming winery tastings! read more

Read this place had an awesome breakfast burrito. They were not lying! I asked for a basic breakfast burrito but it was anything but that. Crispy hash browns, fluffy eggs and gooey cheese. Opted for both salsas. I can't decide which one to pour on, I'm switching back and forth. Avacado salsa definitely was a good taste and little kick. Red Salsa had same amount of kick but good taste. Talk about bang for your buck, this thing will fill you up and not hit the pocket harshly. Inside had a ton of alcohol options even pour your own which looked real cool. My wife was hankering for a breakfast burrito and I recalled reading a comment somewhere on the interwebz that OC Wine Mart & Deli offers great breakfast burritos, so we u-turned and ended up here. If you're a wine connoisseur, this is the spot. I don't really care much for wine (makes me sleepy and lazy), but their selection seemed pretty good to my untrained eye. I did recognize the Caymus though which is an excellent red wine. Anyway, we ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage (+$2.50) and a chipotle chicken sandwich to-go. The damage ended up being $21ish which I thought was a liiittle steep, but it is what it is. I let my wife choose the sandwich and since we are VERY different when it comes to sandwich preferences, I was a little hesitant. As it turned out, I actually ended up liking the sandwich the most between the two. It was sweet with a hint of smokiness and had flavor in every bite. The burrito was not nearly as good as the comment made it sound, but it was good. Nothing more, nothing less. It was, however, pretty under seasoned. After a couple dashes of salt, the flavors in the burrito really came through. The green and orangey-red sauces were good, but again: Nothing more, nothing less. I've essentially never stepped foot into this shopping center beyond Denny's despite the fact that I've driven past it my entire life, but with the wine tasting and other food items they have to offer (got my eye on the meatball appetizer), I can see my wife and I coming back again at some point. read more

I came here for the first time for the Caymus wine tasting for $49 plus tax. The lady had a clipboard to check us in, and there were plenty of hi-top tables that we could join together for our party of 15 or so. You could order add-ons of Margherita pizza and charcuterie boards to complement the 6 wines. I loved the set-up and the food was tasty! What I didn't love was the drawn-out wait in between each wine. To the point where I was looking around like where are they? The male sommelier was a bit detached in his presentation during his pours, while Julie the (co?) - owner was enthusiastic and more welcoming. They plug their wine club tiers and right now, a free magnum is included with enrollment. Their space is clean and bright, and the technology is amazing to buy wine and beer samples there by the ounce. I am intrigued enough to return for their BTS burritos. read more

How is it that I have not written a review. This place is hands down the best place to drink and buy wine. You can always get my favorite meatballs, best I ever had. I'm an OG. Started going to the first location by the airport over 10 years ago, if not more. Since then they have opened up 3 locations. Yup, been to all 3 locations multiple times and jumped on the wine club when she stated that. Was at the Orange location last night, and ran into 2 other friends and made two new ones. I absolutely love the food (especially the food and wine pairing dinners), wine tastings, and hanging out on a Friday evening with friends and listening to live music. On top of that, the people that work here are top notch. Thank you Wendy, for reminding me kindly to pick up my wines when it's ready. Jesse is just as kind as helpful every time I'm there...and he remembers my name too. Lastly, best for last. Julie is an incredible human being. She takes the best care of her many fans. I can seriously say I have liked and loved all the wines she has ever recommended. She puts everything into her wine dinners, tastings, and her stores. I feel right at home when I'm ever there. It's ok, location is very nice and clean lots of drink options as well as beer selection. The inside is really nice and lots of room. In terms of the sandwich, I got the Italian it was OK at best. But wouldn't get a Sandwich again I rather go to cortina's. If I was having some beers with some friends I would come here but sandwiches I would pass. It's such a great little find. Came here for a breakfast burrito after my kids' class. I'm 8 months pregnant, and it was torture looking at the beautiful shelves of wine while I waited, but I ended up shopping for my post push wine and a couple other goodies. We indulged in some delightful wine tasting and beer, and the sandwiches were so fresh and scrumptious. We also treated ourselves to a fabulous charcuterie board that was just perfect for nibbling on while we sipped our drinks. The best part was that we got to enjoy the gorgeous view of the nearby pond while sitting outside on the patio with our little one. The staff at the deli were so friendly and helpful, and they recommended some incredible food and wine for us to try. We ended up staying there for hours, from lunch all the way to almost dinner time, and even bought a bottle of my all-time favorite tequila to take home with us. I heard they had a self serve beer & wine tap so decided to stop by and try it out. You have to purchase a $20 pre-paid card and can get tricky trying to configure the amount when choosing what tastings to try, but it wasn't bad. We stood at the counter while a few employees were talking for a minute or two until someone turned around and noticed we'd been standing there, which isn't a big deal, just kind of annoying. Everyone seemed very nice though and they had good music playing inside. It felt very relaxed and the tables are clean, the tables outside looked nice on a sunny day although they were in the shade which was perfect. We actually really enjoyed trying different wines, but a lot of them are a little higher in cost than we would purchase normally. Overall we had a good experience and would love to come back to try their deli and some more beer/wine! read more

Warning to customers: when you buy a bottle of wine and drink it on the premises, they will charge you an extra five dollars as a corkage fee. This is outrageous. The bottle of wine was already marked up by $10 not counting the five dollar "corkage fee". Everyone knows a corkage fee applies when you bring your own alcohol to the premises and the proprietor opens the bottle and serves it. It also took 40 minutes to get our sandwiches we won't be back. read more
