We noticed this Warby Parker store for the first time on Sunday and went in to check out frames for…read morenew glasses. A sales associate greeted us warmly and answered questions we had while looking at frames. She also popped lenses from sunglasses so we could see how the frames would look for regular glasses. There is a myriad of frames on display here, and others not on display. Another associate volunteered to show us several of these frames after noting frames that attracted us. Sunday was for browsing and getting information rather than buying. All in all, shopping here was a very good experience.

Paris is a true expert, she helped me pick out frames that were better than what I would have chosen for myself. They are now my go-to pair and I feel so cute in them. They were in the mid-priced range, nothing wildly designer, and they're perfect. Separately from Visionworks, I'd had my eye exam done twice with my eye doctor and it turned out there was an issue with my prescription (astigmatism). I was within the 100-day window so I took my glasses back to Visionworks to get my lenses remade--it was no problem at all. The Visionworks team handled it seamlessly. Every time I've stopped by it's always been a the best experience because of the team. I definitely recommend Visionworks Culver City.

I went there because I thought with my new EyeMed membership, I would get a good deal on some new glasses. Things started out bad and went downhill from there. I showed up for my appointment to find that they had no record of it, despite that I used the online system they insisted on and received a text telling me the exact day and time to come down. They apologized and eventually saw me anyway. Things continued in this vein, as the office staff was unable to figure out how to use one of the pre-checkup machines, and after 5 attempts which caused me some discomfort, ended up using a different machine. Not sure why they didn't use the machine they knew how to use in the first place. Again, the doctor himself and the checkup all went fine. But once things got back in the office staff's hands, more trouble. About a week later, I got a call saying my contact lenses, which I had also ordered, were ready. I trekked down there only to find that no, there was a mistake, they're not ready, come back next week. I came back the following week, and after taking a while to find them, the woman who was helping me showed up with a bag of about 8 contacts. "Are these all mine, or different prescriptions for me to try out?" She looked through the bag, then just grabbed half of the contacts, took them out, handed me back the bag and said "these are yours." What? Then she asked if I needed any saline solution or a case. I said yes, since I hadn't had contacts in years and didn't have any of that stuff. After making me wait another 20 minutes she came back and said "yeah, sorry, we don't have any of that." Meanwhile, weeks went by with no glasses. Finally I called and they said, "they're here, come in at the end of the day and pick them up." I came down, no glasses. Come back next week. I come back the next week, they first start trying to put my lenses into my frames when I arrive. After 30 minutes to an hour they explain "sorry, they cut the lenses too thin, we can't get them into the frames." We'll call you when they're ready. Couple more weeks go by. I call. "They'll be ready next Thursday. We'll text you." Thursday comes and goes, no text. Another week goes by. I call. "They're not here yet, but I put a rush order on (ha!) and they should be in any day. No text, so I call the following week. "They're here, our person is going to put them in the lenses first thing tomorrow, we'll text you." No text. I call the next day. Again, "you're first on the list, they'll be ready tomorrow." After three days of being "first on the list," I finally got my glasses, which are fine, but far from a perfect fit. On top of all this, not only were they not cheaper than my normal optometrist, they were nearly twice as expensive! Never, ever going back here.

I flat out told the guy I wanted the same glasses - classic Ray Ban Wayfarers in matte black - I already had and they made for me a couple years earlier. He said they no longer made them in matte black. So I asked for them in glossy. He spent another 20 minutes digging around and said they no longer made those either. Now, this set my spider sense off because Ray Ban not making classic Wayfarers is like McDonald's no longer serving hamburgers. So I politely say I'll look around and get back to them. I leave, spend two minutes on the Ray Ban website, and find the exact glasses I was asking for. I call the office back, get another sales rep, and tell him I was just in and wanted to order these glasses. He finds them instantly - same number that was on the glasses I showed the original rep. The new guy tells me I'll have to work with the original salesman - the guy who didn't really know what he was doing - and I'm kinda like "Do I have to?" He politely chuckles and assures me I'll hear back from the other guy within the day. Two days later and I never heard a peep. Get your eyes checked there but buy your glasses elsewhere. I practically spoon fed the guy a sale and couldn't even a call back. Disappointing. Updated Review 4/5 - I was contacted by Dr. Zelaya less than 24 hours after posting this review to make this situation right. I was given a quote for the order, clear communication, and assured that the consumer service issue would be addressed with the staff. I decided to order my third pair of glasses through their office.

On our most recent visit, we stopped by because my 9-year-old had managed to break TWO of her frames. She's very sporty, so her glasses definitely get put through it! Devon was incredibly kind and helpful and was able to fix both pairs in under 10 minutes. We couldn't be happier with the customer service we received. I had been with Kaiser for 6 years and recently switched insurance…read more My Kaiser eye doctors were the biggest bunch of inept unskilled doctors I have had the displeasure of going to. Then when switching insurance allowed me to go to Dr. Choe. She gave me one of the best eye exams that I have had in years. And to add the cherry on top my prescription was perfect. With Kaiser I would have to get 3-4 repeat eye exams and it was never correct. Dr. Choe gave a really comprehensive exam and was an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommended.
