I had initially booked a different moving company for my move from San Francisco to the Sacramento area as they got back to me first and gave me a lower estimate. Unfortunately (for them), they received a higher paying job and tried to reschedule my move 3 days out from moving day. I immediately reached out to Daniel (on Saturday of a holiday weekend, no less) and he was able to get my move scheduled for that Tuesday and reassured me that they would not cancel on me. Randy reached out to me the day before the move to ask some clarifying questions and confirm information for the move. Tuesday morning, they were great at communicating a slight delay in arrival due to Bay Area traffic, and the three of them showed up and got right to work. We had a unique situation as we were moving from a house into an RV with another storage trailer onsite and they were awesome about helping us separate what would need to go into the RV vs what needed to go into storage and once we got to the unload destination, they were efficient and helpful and asked for direction when needed. The loaned wardrobe boxes were super helpful for moving our clothes without having to purchase boxes we didn't need. They brought them in, let me quickly unload them, and then took them back to the truck, reducing clutter in an already tight space. The estimate that was given really included everything. Our final total was only slightly higher given the amount of drive time that took a little longer than expected due to time at the scales. The three men who helped us with the move were friendly and professional, and even put up with our ridiculous pup who would bark at them every time they came in and out of the house while loading. Daniel and his team moved us from Cupertino to Dublin, and I could not wish for a better move. The quality started when Daniel came to estimate the time and cost involved. He drove from Berkeley to Cupertino (impressive in itself) to provide a personal estimate, and spent 45 minutes in the house carefully assessing our belongings. He provided a "not to exceed" estimate (which we didn't get from the two other companies that we asked for estimates) which was the lowest we received. On the day of the move, the crew arrived bang on time, and proceeded to pack our stuff with the greatest care. Not only that, they protected the key doorways and corners against damage when they carried the stuff out to the van. They unpacked us just as quickly, efficiently, and carefully, and set up the large items exactly where we wanted them. They carried all the boxes and placed them exactly where we asked, so we were able to find all our important and necessary items very quickly. They lifted the contents of three bedrooms, an office, and a treadmill up to the second floor without a word of complaint, and the care that they used to do so was fantastic. Daniel's time estimates were spot on. Even though we exceeded his estimate for materials, he stuck to his original estimate, which speaks of his integrity. The crew were polite, professional, friendly, and clearly did everything they could to make the move as smooth and "painless" as possible. We are not planning to move again for a long, long time, so I will not be able to use his services again, but I recommend that you do !! read more

We had an excellent experience with OCD Moving! Daniel was super helpful and patiently answered a bunch of my questions while I was still comparing estimates. We'd never had movers pack for us before, and he walked me through how he got to his quote (which was lower than the other provider's) and why he thought the crew could get everything done in that amount of time. His time estimates ended up being spot on to the minute! Jake and David packed our kitchen, dining room, artwork, and lamps, and they were extremely efficient but careful... they treated every fragile item like it was their own. We just finished unpacking the kitchen and everything is in perfect condition and was packed logically, so unloading was easy. They were friendly, communicative, respectful of our space, and great about asking questions, while also making good judgment calls on their own. On moving day, Pedro joined the crew and couldn't have been nicer. I was so impressed by how professional, efficient, thoughtful, and hardworking the whole team was. They wrapped all furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, brought floor runners, and didn't leave a single scuff or ding on our walls or floors... and they were still incredibly fast, literally running boxes up and down the stairs. On move-in, they paid attention to where boxes should go and made smart calls if they weren't sure, so everything still ended up exactly where it belonged. A few weeks ago it was my good fortune to work with Daniel and his crew at OCD on a two part (two destination) local move in the East Bay area. This job required flexibility from OCD management, and strength and hard work from the crew, to manage the 41 stairsteps from the house to the street. Daniel couldn't have been more accommodating, and the crew rose to the occasion, doing exemplary work. Daniel and every member of his team were unfailingly polite, good-natured and helpful--with the crew always offering to relieve me of anything they found me carrying--and Danny is a capable foreman who knows what he is doing. My facilities manager son-in-law--who's handled moves of 500,000 sqft and up--pointed out early on that John was doing the best job of truck packing and intermediate strapping he'd ever seen. At the new house they deposited every box and piece of furniture where I'd specified, and now that I've (finally) unpacked everything, I've seen how thoroughly and meticulously each item was packed, resulting in no breakage or damage of any kind whatever--nothing. We had been planning a cross country move and had no idea who to contact. Before that, we also did a Penske truck move with a large load of things and at the time just needed someone to help us pack the truck. My partner called Daniel and he sent Danny and Jose to help us with the loading. I could not believe how Danny used every fraction of space in our 12' truck. We were actually able to pack more than anticipated. They were amazing workers and great guys. 6 months later we finally had to move the rest of our belongings and we called Daniel since the last experience had been so positive. I recently moved from California to Oregon and needed a fast, reliable, reasonably-priced and professional long -distance moving company and was referred to OCD Moving Services by a co-worker who had just moved to the same area I was headed to. I looked online at their reviews and then started to do some comparing, and everything I found about OCD beat the competition every time. The perfect review score made it easier, too. The OCD crew I had was exactly what you want out of a team of movers. Danny, Brian, Jose G and Joseph were kind, professional, careful, and efficient. They had the challenge of moving our 3 story townhouse including an extremely fragile and expensive TV and they handled it perfectly. Everything showed up in perfect shape and on time, and they even helped me put the TV and the stand back together so we could test the TV before they left, and they also went as far as putting furniture pads on everything we placed on the new laminate flooring of our home. Just to mention it too: Daniel, who owns the company, is very responsive and helped us get a perfect moving date locked in. All around, the customer service aspect is above par. It is rare to find a business like OCD Moving with such outstanding customer service, attention to every detail and great communication. He also answers texts and phone calls with lightning speed! I am very much detail oriented myself and usually find myself having to micro-manage most businesses I ever deal with, but not so with Daniel and the guys at OCD. It gave me such a piece of mind to know that my stuff was being handled with such great care and expertise. Especially since I have a lot of collectibles and also furniture that was my parents and grandparents. I had so much stuff they had to use a second truck and even happily took landscaping rocks and boulders that I didn't want to leave behind. The first time, they packed up our home and moved everything into storage while we were selling. Their team was incredibly friendly, professional, and meticulous when packing our belongings. They took great care loading the truck and organizing everything in storage. OCD Moving helped us when we got stood up by the first moving company we hired! We were frantic since the new owners were moving in as soon as we vacated. The owner of OCD found a crew to come and get us loaded on a truck, then unloaded into storage. His crew was totally professional and helpful, even though it extended their day by several hours. Daniel came out a few days prior to my move to provide me a quote and gave me a range based on whether or not his crew would need to pack my items. Not only was OCD Moving Services able to accommodate my very late need for help, the crew showed up on time, parked their trucks in a very tightly configured community while being considerate of my neighbors needing to drive pass, and finished hours sooner than I thought. All members were friendly and responsive to any questions or needs I had. Though I'm giving five stars I still want to leave a few areas for improvement: 1) movers felt my quote was a bit unrealistic because I ended up having more items than initially realized; 2) packing your own items includes taping the bottom of the boxes even if there are very light items inside - that was not expressed to me; and 3) crew should not leave any of their items behind in their customer's home. Highly recommend! We used OCD for a move about 8 years ago and had a great experience. For a recent move earlier this month, we went straight back to OCD and again had a very positive experience. Daniel helped prepare a quote and then coordinated all the logistics in about a day. The quote had all the details and answered all the likely questions very clearly. Honestly, these folks rock. My wife and I live out of state, but were tossed into an emergency Bay Area situation, having to move an 80-something mom from her home after 40 years due to an unexpected passing of dad. I am sad I cannot recall the two lovely men that helped my husband and I move last Tuesday (June 6, 2017). I had to move from Fremont to San Ramon, from a one story to a three story (no elevator!). I did all the packing and had everything as best organized as I could for their arrival. They loaded the truck with no complaints and in very little time and kindly wrapped all of my furniture to prevent damaging. Once we got to the new apartment, they began unloading our belongings up three flights of stairs and never a single complaint. Once it was time to pay up, the price stayed at the same estimate I was given over the phone a week prior.
