NEGITIVE 100 STARS! I went here many times until the last…read moretime I went for a State inspection. They had my car up there for a long time, about two hours or more. I couldnt stop wondering if there was something wrong. I asked twice why its taking so long and they kept telling me there machine was not functioning right. When the time was up, they burst a hole into the bottom of the car in two spots and one was the tailpipe. The owner Peter was the nastiest person to deal with. He kept telling me that its not his responsibliity and that there was nothing wrong with his machine (even though he told me that there was two hours before). I had spent thousands there and they still treated me like I was a jerk. There was also a roll of quarters missing for my side panel which was for laundry. This was a major mess up that cost me $900 to fix at a Mobil station. It was the worst thing I have come across yet with a car. Buyers Beware!

He did not just install a part, he made sure everything was lined up properly. I was also impressed with how he cleaned his tools before he put them away. Including cleaning electrical wires before winding them up neatly. The way a person takes care of their work area says a lot about them. My new car they did wheel alignment and wheel balance, then bolt joint has been replaced and it was even worst then before, it was replaced by them as well, my car was still turning left and i told them, they said we need to do wheel alignment again, we did wheel alignment again and it was shit again, i simply went to the tire shop, and guys told me that i need to change two tires because they cant be balanced do to the issue with the way they are, i have replaced the tires and my car is perfect now, so shop keep fixing the issues and it was not flexible but they keep wasting my money and no it fixing the issue, over charging people for so much work that is not even properly done. Im telling all my clients and people i now not ever go back there again.

I called the day before and spoke with a gentleman who was very polite and helpful. I explained exactly what was wrong with my car, told him I already had the replacement parts, and mentioned there were several repairs I needed done. He told me it wouldn't be a problem and to come in the next morning. I arrived at 7:30 AM and met with the owner. I explained everything that was wrong with the vehicle and told him about my conversation from the previous day. He took my information, and everything seemed fine at first. Then he told me he doesn't go by what other employees say and that he would need to plug the car into a diagnostic machine to do his own assessment. I said okay, but then he started telling me that even if the repairs were needed, it might take time to get the parts. I reminded him that I already had all of the parts for my vehicle. That's when he informed me that he doesn't install customer-supplied parts. My question is: Why wasn't that explained to me yesterday when I specifically called ahead and told the employee I already had the parts? That information would have saved me a trip to Brooklyn. From that point on, the conversation became increasingly unpleasant. I explained that I've dealt with mechanics in the past who have tried to upsell unnecessary repairs, especially because many customers--particularly women--may not always know enough about cars to challenge a diagnosis. I wasn't asking him to guess what was wrong; I was telling him exactly what I wanted repaired and was prepared to pay for those specific repairs. Instead of listening, he became defensive and argumentative. When I mentioned that some mechanics take advantage of women, he responded by telling me he was married and had a wife. That had absolutely nothing to do with my point. I wasn't accusing him of anything personally--I was explaining why I wanted transparency and why I called ahead to confirm everything before making the trip. Ironically, the lack of communication from his own employee is exactly what caused this problem. If the shop doesn't install customer-supplied parts, that should have been clearly stated during my phone call. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone the day before was professional, respectful, and helpful. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner was the complete opposite. His attitude, lack of customer service, and unwillingness to communicate professionally made this one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an auto repair shop. My advice: Call ahead and get every detail in writing. Make sure you understand their policies before driving out there. Based on my experience, proceed with caution.

My car was parked in a legal parking spot at JFK's Long Term Lot but the mall cop was on a power…read moretrip and said I could not park there even though the signs said no parking after August 12th (it was July but he didn't realize that we are not even in the correct month since he was on a power trip). The mall cop will call Ben & Nino to get your car towed and when you ask the Port Authority, they will say they didn't do this. Then the lady on the phone at Ben & Nino will argue with you and tell you that Port Authority approved it (which they didn't) and they even forge signatures on the tow consent form in order to make it look like it was approved. When you ask them who is the police officer that approved this, they will say they don't know their name. If your car was towed illegally, file a complaint with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) and they will be required to respond and come up with a resolution. This is what I did and I got my money back! They still act like they didn't do anything wrong, but they should have verified first that the tow was legal prior to doing it. They just want to make some extra money and hope that most people don't know that we have a consumer protection bureau that will help. Don't let them get away with it. Take the time to file your complaint!

I arrived at the drop off lane, opened the trunk of my car, gave my sister her luggage, and headed back to the driver's seat. To my surprise, a Ben & Nino tow truck started to lift my vehicle while I was trying to put the car in drive. I had to pay $48.99 for the driver to remove his wheel lift from my vehicle. I own a tow truck company in PA and I would never give a negative review for no reason. But never have I seen a broad day theft by a tow truck company like what I experienced with Ben & Nino at JFK. Is there a big shot somewhere that's giving these people such audacity to steal openly like this?
