My experience at the Oceanbreeze Dental with Dr Konviser was as follows: *First visit Dr. Konviser held no patient doctor conversation with me. He was cold and indifferent showing no interest in getting to know me as his new patient so he could understand if I was nervous, afraid or comfortable with him treating me. Without even giving me a chance to answer, his first words to me were "how are you lets get this thing over with." I was shocked. I didn't understand the rush and felt as though I was just another job he had to hurry and get done. Dr Konviser (never) held a conversation with me, He only spoke to his assistant and concluded I need a number of treatments. The first was a back upper molar crown. While administering the numbing shot, Dr. Konviser became annoyed as I squinted my eyes shut and in an angry tone of voice he said " hold still your not feeling this we put lidocaine on your gums." In no way did he try to make me feel comfortable nor say a kind word. During drilling, Dr.Konviser chastised me glairing down in my face and growling "You have to hold still. I have a drill in my hand you move it's dangerous, I could cut you". But I was trying to give him a sign there was too much water going in the back of my throat I responded, "I'm choking". Dr. Konviser just stated "open" and continued drilling without another word. At no time during the whole procedure did Dr Konviser ask me how I felt, if I was ok, show any kindness or word of comfort. Therefore, I will not request his services again nor recommend his services to enyone in the future. read more

I've been coming here for several years. They use to be located in Marina Del Rey but had to relocate and have been here ever since. The office is decorated nicely and has a real comfortable feel to it. The waiting area is a little small but it's never crowded so that's never been and issue. They keep me up to date with my cleanings by texting reminders to my cell phone, which is extremely helpful when you have a busy life like I do. The receptionist Norma is one of the most pleasant people and she's always like that. She extremely professional and makes your visit start off right with her smiling face when you walk in. Being that there is high anxiety going to the dentist a smile and a pleasant attitude can make all the difference to help relax you before seeing the dentist. The dentist is professional , fast and explains everything he does to also help with your anxiety. The staff are friendly and professional as well. The office is always clean. The treatments rooms are always clean and tidy. Whatever service I have they make my experience less hectic and complicated then I anticipated. I never have any problems after service. I hate to be the one star review that wrecks Ocean Breeze's rating, but my partner who was in need of affordable dental care recently came in with a coupon for a 39$ Teeth Cleaning and full oral exam, attached below. He was told by the dentist that the coupon was in fact not for a cleaning, but for a "polish" and proceeded to try to upsell him on a "deep" cleaning for full price, fill his deep grooves, and fix a filling which had fallen out. My partner came in for what was supposed to be a maintenance cleaning appointment, and was misled by false advertising to believe it would be $39. The upsell cost was $2995. I'm making this review to warn others in a tough financial spot to steer clear of this place. They treated my partner like a woman at an auto shop. I used to go to this dentist when I lived in the area but the pandemic forced me out. I last saw him during Covid and got a "lifetime" retainer. I have called at least 8 times to have them request to replace the retainers and either no answer or they never call to follow up to charge me to reorder. When I spent hundreds of dollars on lifetime retainers and I want to order another pair I would appreciate it if the office would fulfill my request as retainers are difficult to order and my current dentist only offers a night guard. I spoke to 3 different people so there's no excuse. Not sure if these guys went out of business but doesn't seem like the dentist is "working." Would take 5 mins to request to send replacement and charge my card. read more

Dr K is an excellent dentist. I have a fear of dentists and he made me feel safe and I never experienced and serious pain or distress. His partials fit like they were natural. So, I thought the denture would fit well too, and it does. Hopefully one day I can have dental implants replace the denture however. The denture fits great, but the teeth are small and when I smile you see my lower teeth more then the top denture. My lower teeth are mine and are a different color too. I wish we had discussed what the denture would actually look like... that I would have had a choice of teeth type... I actually thought this denture was a temporary because it's very generi, that is my only complaint. I still don't smile comfortably after all this work. The support staff is great and they all are very welcoming. I do recommend this office for basic dental work and partials. read more

I visited Ocean Breeze and Dr. K for an opinion about a broken tooth (broken by a little rock in a delicious hard cracker)! Walking into his compact office was quite an experience--relaxing classical music (some best selections) permeating the place and darling "Ocean Breeze" pillows in the chairs. These sensitive touches help. Dr. K. himself was comforting. Following digital xrays, he gave me a different solution to the tooth problem than two other docs had suggested - and he assured me that "crown lengthening" would not be necessary. (I guess former dentists' opinions were seeking $$$ by adding a procedure I didn't really need). We settled on the Zirconia crown; a little pricey but a very good strong solution to the tooth issue. The office personnel were very friendly, as was Dr. K who shared with me his Belarusian background before coming to America for his education. Comfort is something their office preaches - and they carry it out nicely. I recommend this dental office for finding out about your teeth! And I trust the Dr.--as he did not think a certain "suggested" procedure was necessary. Crown lengthening would have cost hundreds of dollars, so the Dr. was being honest to turn that down--because it was clear to him I didn't need such. But the Zirconia was a little high in price... After visiting Ocean Breeze, I happened to be doing research on Zirconia when I ran across another dental center that was having a special on crowns. I could get a gold crown for only about $100 more than the Zirconia at Ocean Breeze. The dentist at this new center thought that gold was best so that not as much tooth had to be shaved. (And I had read that same info regarding gold.) That office also had a periodontist, surgeon, and endodontist on staff, so I thought that was good in case there were extra problems with the tooth. The new office ALSO said, as Dr.K said, I did not need "crown lengthening", so I began to trust them. And they were friendly, nice - but did not come close to the "comfort zone" that Dr. K's Ocean Breeze office provides. No classical music :(...and no outstanding decor. But...the dentist was nice and willing to explain everything about a crown procedure. I ended up going there instead of to Ocean Breeze because of the gold-crown opportunity; however, I still recommend Ocean Breeze. And I'm grateful to Ocean Breeze for their ambiance, patience, knowledge, and honest prognosis regarding my tooth. read more

I came in to see him with an emergency and needed a root canal . I was able to book an appointment right away . First impression was a great one. The office is immaculate, staff are professional and kind and I was seen shortly after my arrival. Dr Vadim has such incredible chair side manner and is so professional I immediately felt at ease. The procedure went smooth and what was most impressive was there was no pain or discomfort at all and he was fast and efficient! I still stand by the fact that this place is a fraud. Three years ago I had had my teeth cleaned and x-rayed and I come in there and the doctor tells me I need almost $9000 worth of work done. I went to another dentist and he said that was ridiculous.There have been probably 100 bad reviews. You make my review look like you think it was written because you did not send me my x-rays. That was ridiculous. You were rude, the doctor was rude person that cleaned my teeth in 10 minutes was in efficient. This place needs to be shut down. I am sorry that my first Yelp review gonna be a negative. One year ago I just moved to LA from another country and didn't know how to choose a dentist here. Anyway, I made an appointment to Dr. Konviser with a strong toothache (tooth #14). He put a crown on my tooth after antibiotic and root canal treatment and everything seemed pretty good. But one year later I felt strong pain again in the same tooth. It is weird because tooth was dead, and root canals was treated. I went to my dentist with this problem, it's turns out the periodontal infection has progressed in gum and tooth should be taken out. Except my dentist, this diagnosis was confirmed by three endodontists and they were asking me "who did you root canals?" There is could be a few causes - a cracked tooth or bad root canal treatment. My tooth extracted today, it had no root fractures. The surgeon said the main reason is root canals (made by Dr Konviser!) P.S. I'm really sad and tired morally and financially, but not overreacted, and just trying analyze the facts. read more

I needed 6 crowns after my initial consult. 2 to be replaced from another Dr. I am so pleased with Dr. K, I have had 4 of the 6 done so far and I can tell the work is superior. Update: My filling fell out, and since Dr. K was out of town, the hygienist did a temporary, but couldn't inject pain medication. It was pretty horrific, despite the man's efforts to be quick and gentle. It makes me think twice about a small practice. At least at a larger practice, another Dr. would have been on call to handle emergencies. You live you learn... Original: SO friendly and gentle. Prior to DR. K i hated going to the Dentist just like everyone else. The drills, anxiety, pain, waiting, etc. was always something i dreaded. However, ever since I was introduced to Ocean Breeze Dentals - I now have a whole new perspective on the experience. Dr.K is very knowledgeable and takes his job seriously. This past Tuesday night, while having dinner, my tooth crown, fell out and ended up in my hand. It was not painful! But, extremely uncomfortable, while creating a huge gap between my teeth. The following morning, I contacted my Dentist, Vadim Konvisor, to give him the update. It was Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and my concern was that, his Dental Office, might have been closed for the Holiday Weekend. I left a voice massage? He called me right back, and suggested I come in at 1:00pm, to cement the crown back in place. When I arrived, holding my tooth in my hand, Dr Konvisor pointed out to me, that the crown had NOT fallen out? But, that the tooth had literally broken off inside the crown. There were only 2 alternatives? IMPLANT OR ROOT CANAL? Both being a much more involved process? He ran several X-Ray's to access the scenario, and determined that he could save the tooth, by doing a "Root Canal", avoiding the alternative of an Implant, which would have cost considerably more, and possibly taken 7 months to complete. I asked how long the Root Canal would take? He said, if I had a few hours, he could could get it all done, right there and then, allowing me to enjoy the Holidays, without having to come back, for three different appointments. I was overwhelmed with joy, to get this done. 2 1/2 hours later, it was completed, and my temporary CROWN was in place, looking great and alleviating all the discomfort of the gigantic gap, between my teeth. My permanent crown was ordered, and should be ready in 2 weeks, for installation. Dr Konvisor was precise, methodical, & detailed, throughout the procedure, and...... as he had predicted, there was no pain during or after the "Root Canal". This office is extremely kind, considerate, courteous, and professional. They do work swiftly and take extra care to ensure all work is done with the least costly avenue to the customer possible. I have never felt more at home and like I'm being taken care of like family by a dental office ever. LGBTQIA+ friendly too! They're also super thoughtful of my mother as well, and speak to her respectfully as an ESL person. Many of the people who work in the office also speak Spanish. They also do implant work, night guards, and TMD treatments as well. I can sleep so much better at night after coming to this office and getting the assistance I needed to relieve my pain. It's also so nice to be able to watch your favorite streaming service shows or youtube content while getting your treatment, it really helps distract your mind from what might be happening during your treatment and if you are anxious about having dental procedures done. I was referred to Dr. Konviser by a coworker and was very pleased with the results. The office staffs are very helpful ensuring that you're not hurting when taking X-rays or cleaning your teeth. Also, before performing any procedures, the assistant goes over the pricing and insurance coverage so that you are not caught off by surprise with a big fat bill. The work performed was very thorough so I felt great making the trip out. Although this was my first trip out, I could tell the doctor and the staffs genuinely care about how the patients feel about the service and will ensure that any constructive feedback is addressed. Tip: although Yelp says the office is open M-F, the office is open on every other Saturdays as well so try giving them a call! I drive from Fairfax/Melrose area to this dentist in LA traffic, that's how great he is. As long as I live in the LA area, I won't be switching dentists; it's so hard to find one I really like. His staff is respectful and they make you feel comfortable immediately.
