Even if you don't find yourself in town for a conference, stop by the visitor's center for information and coupons for local attractions. The facilities are immaculate, and the building is always kept very cool. For your little ones, there is a separate toddler restroom complete with two kid potties and two changing tables. The conference space is well-appointed, and the in-house catering is very reliable.

I really enjoy coming here because the information center for Ocean City is here. Little history: That the parking lot in fort of the convention center was the old convention center where it was. Parking was limited loading dock was under and in front the front of the center. Had a bridge and now better after building the new one. They use to had wrestling and computer convention and more. Now when I go here they have boat show and car show. Even they have art shows nothing about sowing or drawing and painting. Restaurant shows and more. I still come here but for show it wood be what future come to see. This is a great convention center but they need more events. Don't forget to go to Crab Cake Factory for lunch or dinner.

    The teams are working hard!

This was a nice center but parking was CRAY! It was hot inside. Some of the employees need some manners and smile. But other than that the cheer competition was FANTASTIC!

Convention Center backs up to the bay... catch the sunset if your there at this time of day!

It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.

The ocean is the best part - you can't beat ocean front property and views. Their service is top-notch - welcoming, accommodating, and great attention to detail. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel, but even better, it is an old charming, turn of the century, quaint home experience. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Amenities are great at no extra cost - I took advantage of their bikes and yoga mat! I love that they invite you to stay after check-out to continue to enjoy the property. And watching the sunrise over the water was the icing on the cake. Normally, their rates would be beyond my budget, but with the WinterEscape promotion of 20% off, it was very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

I was happy to be able to find a hotel in ocean city for the stay with the family. I was very excited until the day before when it attempted to charge my card the day BEFORE instead of "pay at property". This was my first red flag but the call I had with the lady gave me hopes that it would be a good experience. We were able to get a good view of the ocean, the crib was available, everything was good so far. I was not happy that the parking was a separate pay of $10 AND a $25 deposit required. These were things I was not aware of. The hotel does have indoor and outdoor pool. While the outdoor pool is seasonal, it looks more accommodating to a small amount of people. The indoor pool was very disappointing. Pure smell of chlorine, water looked foggy. Kids were in the hot tub! I don't mind the kids, I am just surprised with the lack of supervision for the rules placed. I don't think I'd come back to this one.

At the end of April, it is still off-season, but Ocean City is starting to wake up. This weekend is Springfest, so lots of hotels and restaurants were starting to book up. I was welcomed warmly at the front desk. They gave me a higher floor room, as requested, #620. The room category was an Oceanfront Suite with Two Queens, Pool View. They have been doing some renovations, and while this property has been here for quite a while, we were very pleased with how fresh and nice the room is. There was a spectacular view, a tub in the bathroom, a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave & dishwasher, and a balcony with table and chairs. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were very nice. We enjoyed our morning coffee with views of the sunrise. The outdoor pools are not open yet, but the indoor pool was great. There are two hot tubs on a platform by the indoor pool. It was all clean and well kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bed is VERY comfortable and the sectional in our room which as it turns out is a pullout bed and it is also VERY comfortable, which is a surprise because usually the pull out beds in hotels are really not very good quality. There is a fridge in the room as well as a small, single serve coffee maker and a decent TV mounted on wall. I booked the hotel so that I could bring my mother to the Thunderbirds airshow, which has been on her bucket list for sometime now. Knowing it was on the sand and she's elderly I wanted to keep it as easy and enjoyable for her as I could so that's how I came here through some research via AI generated response responses to multiple questions that I had about where to go in the best place from which state of the airshow. The Hyatt Place Ocean City oceanfront, was one of the few hotels that came up as being one of the prime spots and indeed it was. It was in fact at show center. So much so that we could we hear the announcer who was actually just a little off to our left, narration and music in this phenomenal airshow. On the balcony, we had two Adirondack chairs and a table that were quite comfortable. Also good is the beach accessibility right out front of the hotel so that made it very convenient as well although we could not take advantage of that during the airshow because it was blocked off for those who had purchased tickets,- but knowing that it's there for the future is good. The not so good: The breakfast was OK nothing spectacular. I've had better eggs at other hotels and although there was a sign that said you could get mimosas or bloody Mary's from 9 to 11 no bartender ever showed up to the bar. I asked the front desk when I went we left breakfast and was told that the bar in the lounge did not open until 3 PM and if you wanted to get a drink, you went out to the pool bar. I kind of think there should be a sign that says something about that. Also when we got in last night during the show, I wanted to go grab a couple of drinks and a couple of snacks but when I went down to the lounge again, there was no bartender and when I asked, even though the website said that the lounge was open from 730 until 11 PM, I was told that there was nobody in the lounge bar and that I needed to go out to the pool in order to get food and drinks. However, out at the bar at the pool, I was told that she could not serve the drinks that they had posted in the elevator because those could only be served inside. On that note, back into the good category is the bartender out at the pool. Colleen. She was phenomenal! The drinks that she made were really good and I tried to get down later to get some more but unfortunately, I think I missed her and I think the pool bar closes at 7 PM. Nothing regarding hours at the lounge bar or at the pool bar are posted anywhere either on the website or here in the hotel. I think they would probably do a lot more business if they posted stuff on the website or told you when you checked in advising you when the bar was open both inside and at the pool. If nothing else, I would at least let the pool bartender fix the drinks that they advertise in the elevators if they're not going to open the bar until a certain time. In the category of not so good is the elevator here as well. The elevator is so ridiculously slow. I can't tell you how many times I waited numerous times to go down when it just kept going up. There are only two elevators in the hotel and it would take quite some time to try to get outside to get stuff from the car. As for the ugly: The parking here is really quite chaotic. I only saw a couple of handicap spots and I was traveling with my disabled mother. Fortunately, we were able to snag a spot right in front of the door that you go in to take the elevator up to the lobby. But otherwise the spots underneath the main hotel are minimal. There's another building adjacent to the Hyatt place that has some spots so at least there's that. On the website for the hotel you'll see what looks like a beach shop, which I was kind of excited about however, that is apparently an old picture and instead of a beach novelty shop we were met with an unpleasant lady from Franco's Bar on top of which the hotel sits swatting us away. Apparently whatever is beneath us, which actually looks like a cute little café or bistro is not operational. I'm not sure what the story is down there, but apparently it is part of Franco's pizza bar, which for the moment I am boycotting until I get over the nasty manner in which she treated us. Oh and we had a roach in our room- that wasn't great. And the TV remote didn't work right. Conclude: I always measure food and entertainment and attractions on the basis of "would I do it again". Here yes I would book at the Hyatt Pl., Ocean City oceanfront Hotel again for its convenience and very small but cozy and comfortable accommodations.
