Our first visit took place on Mother's Day around 4:00 PM. Because brunch was still being served and dinner didn't begin until 4:15 PM, I booked a table for two, and we passed the time at the bar. We caught some live music while I enjoyed a $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan before settling the bar tab. Once dinner service opened at 4:15 PM, we were seated inside at table 45 to escape a breezy outdoor deck. It turned out to be the debut day for their new menu. I ordered another $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan and the $36 seafood stew--a rich combination of fish, clams, shrimp, fennel, pepper, onion, Spanish chorizo, and tomato seafood broth accompanied by grilled bread. It was a generous portion, so I brought the remaining stew home to enjoy later that evening. To conclude the meal, I tried the Lucky 7 porter from Evolution Craft Brewing Company ($7), which featured dark dried fruit and sweet toffee tones balanced by notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Our server, Brendan V., did an excellent job caring for us and demonstrated great knowledge of the new menu, even while managing a large outdoor table with five children. Our total bill for that evening came to $114, excluding gratuity. We returned on Memorial Day for a second dinner, this time in a group of five that included family and a friend visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. Since the outdoor fire tables were completely full, we secured a table on the left side of the restaurant. I began with a spicy mango margarita for $14, which featured tequila, mango, lime, agave, jalapeno, and a tajin rim, and opted for the $36 seafood stew once again. Unfortunately, the cocktails were inconsistent this time; I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan up, but it tasted like watered-down bourbon. When a second Manhattan tasted exactly the same, I decided to cancel the order. Nevertheless, our server Nadine K. provided excellent service throughout the evening, and our bill came out to $92 before gratuity. Ultimately, we all agreed that we would gladly visit again.

Here is a breakdown of my two most recent experiences. During a solo outing with a friend, we arrived just before 4 PM to grab two coveted bar stools right as happy hour began, which now starts at 4 PM instead of 3 PM. I went with my usual two happy hour pepper creek punches and paired them with the happy hour fried chicken sandwich, adding a side of very good hand-cut fries for an extra $2. The portion was large enough that I brought half of the sandwich home for lunch. Bartender Trevor offered a sample of their malty nitro center of gravity english mild draft beer (4.5% ABV), and I loved the notes of toffee, chocolate, and toasted bread so much that I ended my dinner with two full glasses. Thanks to excellent service from bartenders Bill and Trevor, my solo total came out to a reasonable $36 before tip. On my next visit, I brought my family of four on a Wednesday around 6 PM. We were instantly accommodated at booth table 53 on the right side of the restaurant. They had recently updated their regular menu, and I decided to try the Korean beef bowl for $24, which features soy marinated sliced steak, vegetables, greens, an umami glaze, a fried egg, and spicy mayo served over basmati rice. Our server, Cate J., took wonderful care of us, and the total bill for the family was $152 excluding gratuity. Whether for happy hour or dinner, we will absolutely keep coming back.

With a bright bold colors and stunning architecture, the restaurant stands out on the corner. A huge mural of Delaware beckons the local purity. Inside you are greeted by huge brewing equipment in a two story grand dining room, filled with happy families and bustling servers! We always order takeout and they graciously save close parking spots for carryout orders. The online ordering allows for easy modifications and simple ordering. We grabbed a smorgasbord of flavors and made the entire family happy. The Fried Chicken meal comes with famous Delaware chicken and some fun twists of Gochuchang sauce and honey butter rolls. The fried food traveled well and is expertly packaged. On their website, they advertise Beer Battered Shrimp - and by simply calling in, the manager was able to add an order to our meal! Simple entrees. Bold flavors. Definitely a place worth frequenting on your Bethany Beach vacations.

We have not been here in awhile. I still had one of their gift cards so we decided to eat here on Cinco De Mayo, because as I mentioned they always decorate the restaurant for every holiday. We waited about 15 minutes for the last table 41 on the right nearest to the bar to become available. I started with my two margaritas with salt for $7 each. The ambient noise here is very loud when it is this crowded. I also enjoyed my chicken and chorizo poblano skillet with chicken tingo, chorizo, poblanos and onions over Spanish rice with queso and cilantro-lime crema served with a guac salad and tortillas for $23. It was served on a hot cast iron skillet. When served my dish looked different from what was on their website. It looks like they topped the dish with queso and cilantro crema. I would have preferred what was on their website without the queso and cilantro crema on top. There might be a disconnect between the website and the kitchen. Anyway my dish was different from the normal. There was a lot of food to eat. I ate half and also took half of the skillet, the guac salad and tortillas home for my late night snack and tomorrow's lunch. Arissa served us very well. Our total bill was $77 excluding gratuity. My gift card had $51.50 remaining so I applied my credit card for my $25.50 balance due.

Tonight we were there to celebrate the end of summer and my son's upcoming birthday. My daughter ordered the children's pasta. To our absolute horror, there was a beetle/roach in her food. When we informed the owner of the situation, rather than apologize or try to make it right, he was very confrontational. He informed me it was just a fly (it certainly was not!), and was incredibly rude. Having spent time in the restaurant industry, I could not believe the treatment we received. Regardless of the kind of bug, berating a customer whose child just received tainted food, is really bad form. A simple apology and trying to make things right would have solved things. Instead, I received a lecture on how it couldn't possibly be anything other than a fly, and that they can't do anything about that. There was zero concern for the situation or their customers at all. I am so disappointed
