Super cute and easily accessible little spot that happened to be down the road from our hotel. Stopped by this morning, I got a latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich, hubby got a regular coffee and a chorizo breakfast burrito. Coffee and latte were *amazing*. My husband is a total coffee snob so for him to give it such high marks really means something. He said his breakfast burrito "hit the spot". My sandwich was just okay. Loved the coffee though and am bummed we don't live locally because we would definitely go back! read more

Service is excellent and friendly. However, I am a coffee lover/coffee fanatic, and I rely on the quality of the coffee (not syrups, flavorings, whipped cream) for flavor. I have been to Ocean grinds many times with a friend who likes their chai tea. The coffee in a 12 oz. Latte is almost undetectable. It ends up tasting like dishwater. I've tried a dry cappuccino, with same results; three shots of espresso, same results. This might matter very little to anyone getting all the flavored syrups and hoopla, but in my opinion, if you are a serious drinker of coffee, look elsewhere. (And pastries? they are packaged in cellophane and far from what I consider fresh or satisfying.) read more

Yummy! Wanted a quick breakfast to take back to the hotel & beach. This spot was right down the road. Coffee is absolutely delicious! Very flavorful and just what I hoped for. The breakfast sandwich was made with a plain bagel, cheddar cheese, egg, and sausage. So filling & really tasty! We got 2 of the sandwiches and then another iced mocha. We very much enjoyed our food and drinks! Couldn't suggest this place more. Convenient location off the main road (101 hwy) & the road to driftwood shores hotel. Lots of space to pull in and drive up to windows for ordering. read more

Not only do they offer organic coffee (which tastes amazing) they also offer Lotus Energy drinks, which is a plant based energy drink! Love this coffee shop and since moving away from Oregon it has become our favorite stop every year during Christmas time. However we were very sad to find the shop closed 1/5/19 for a remodel! I sat outside the closed building for what felt like forever on the phone with my wife trying to figure out where we could possibly get our daily jolt during our vacation. The gal at the window was super friendly but sadly, I ended up pouring my coffee out a couple of miles down the road. I ordered a 12oz Americano with one sugar and some cream. Sweetness and cream coloring/amount were perfect but the drink was just so weak it was like a hint of coffee flavor. Luckily it only cost a couple of dollars. Ended up stopping somewhere else further down the road. read more

Stopped here a few weeks ago heading back from the dunes. Really needed a pick me up to make it back to Portland. Came in and ordered the wipeout with caramel and asked them to blend it. It turned out amazing! Better than any frappacino I've ever had from Starbucks/Dutch bros. Definitely going to stoping here every time I'm coming in and out of the dunes. read more

Coming from a town that has little to no drive thru coffee shops...I found fascination in the multitude of drive thrus in this area so I made it my mission to experience as many as possible on my visit. To me coffee is coffee is coffee until I happened upon Ocean Grinds Coffee...just opened a couple months ago on the north end of Florence...perfect for the drive up the coast. This place is run by such a friendly/personable husband and wife team...you are practically friends by the time you drive away. If you're a surfer you have found common ground for sure. They serve quality organic espresso and use top shelf syrups and ingredients...even their plastic cups are compostable. My stop at Ocean Grinds definitely raised the bar on my coffee experience!!! If you get to this area, definitely stop by and meet these friendly people and have a "Cup of Joe"!! I will make this my stop everytime I come to visit!!! read more

I have no idea how this place could possibly have 5 stars. Last weekend I stopped here on my way out of town to fuel up for my drive. I ordered a blended dirty chai and a standard breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was edible but clearly made with low quality ingredients. Advertising Tillamook cheddar slices and then putting a kraft slice in my sandwich, REALLY???? The drink was disgusting! I could barely taste the chai and instead of the almond milk I requested I think the barista just added water. I'll never be back and I really wish I could get my 9 bucks back. read more

Discovered this little spot while passing through on my bike, took a chance on the toasted coconut mocha and boy am I glad I did!!! Best coffee I've found durning my ride down the Oregon coast. Went back the next morning for a smoothie that fueled my ride all the way to Coos Bay, Nancy's yogurt and real fruit, yum!! Wishing there were a chain of these for me to hit up along the rest of my trip. Real nice, friendly service to boot! If you're in Florence don't miss this spot. read more
