    War Won Ton Soup

Good food. Good service. Generous portions. Worth the stop. Pot stickers, War Won Ton Soup . Mar far chicken, fried shrimp, pork fried rice and chicken chow mein. If you're looking for Chinese food, look no further.

Soup, bbq pork, fried rice, chow mein, and muko chicken. The tasty sweet and sour sauce that came with it was amazing.

Yesterday my friend who I haven't seen in 25 years met up a Chen's the two female waitresses who tag teamed the order with the best humor and tongue gestures. If guests need a touch of entertainment go to Chen's restaurant they can tweak the menu for an interesting meal. In Florence Oregon.

While doing my great Pacific Northwest adventure trip something inside me tells me I have to stop at this place. It really reminded my prior to my folks retirement of their Chinese restaurant they had since the 80s. The food was great, staff very friendly, amount of food and price was a plus. I also got a laugh that this place also serves burgers because I have never seen burgers at a Chinese restaurant.

We're moving to the area so we had to find our Chinese food place. Chen's Family is fabulous!!!! They start you off with a pot of delicious hot tea on the table. We ordered Mongolian Beef, General Tso Pork, and Orange Chicken. They were all delicious. The Orange Chicken sauce tasted of real oranges. The General Tso sauce was so good my dad practically licked it off his plate. We'll definitely be back for outstanding food and excellent service!

Classic Americanized Chinese food. Pretty good menu selection and usually good portions. Good for a Chinese American food fix.

No big deal though.. we walked around the cute old town and worked up an appetite. The place is small and seating is tight. Our server was super friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the surf (grilled shrimp) and turf (flank steak) with a side salad and mashed potatoes. I had the crab encrusted halibut with basmati rice& edamame and a Cesar salad. We started off with cocktails. Husband had a long island iced tea and I had a Jim Beam Manhattan. Cocktails were average. Manhattan had too much vermouth and the Long Island had a lot of sour... But a lot of time I think that comes down to preference. It took a long time to get our food. It was crowded and our server was clearly doing her best. The food looked good. The server said she was waiting for steak knives, so my husband just used the regular butter knife for his steak. The steak was a little tough and lacked flavor. Would have added salt and pepper to it if there was shakers on the table, but didn't want to ask for them. The fish was nice. I didn't really get "crab encrusted". I'm sure it was there but really it just tasted like breaded and fried halibut. The rice and salad were delicious. Overall everything was good. I wouldn't say excellent. And for the price, I would have expected better. But it wasn't bad. There looks to be a lot of other great restaurants that might have a little nicer atmosphere that we would try before coming here again. Overall, I would skip the steak. (Although the chimichurri one would probably be really good). And stick with their flooffy cocktails. The fish was good. And make reservations

With a storm blowing in we were craving some clam chowder. Homegrown did satisfy that craving! Unfortunately, service was a little slow because there was only one waiter. Luckily, we were in no rush. Appearance - The warm string lights created a nice, cozy vibe. (Maybe the rained helped too!) Overall, the food was plated well. Taste- Garlic Parmesan fries- mmm so delicious with a yummy aioli to dip them in! Would highly recommend! Caution if you're sensitive to garlic... be aware that the parmesan can easily be mistaken for garlic chunks! Steamers- My husband got this and said it was very fresh and he enjoyed the broth. I tried it but I'm not a huge wine person and to me the broth was very heavy wine flavored. Fried Fish Cod Sandwich- Unfortunately I learned on this outing that I don't really love cod. The fish on this sandwich was not very meaty.

It's usually loud with children and older folks talking, and that's okay. I go there for the fish and chips. It's really all about expectations. When I look for a fish and chips joint based on good reviews, and I am not blown away, I can leave disappointed. However, when I know going in not to expect miracles, above average can be what the doctor ordered. Enter Mo's. I had the cod. I prefer battered, but the fish isn't bad for breaded. It's delicate and properly fried, and without the taste of overworked oil. I give it a 6 out of 10 score. The fries have a coating of some sort that helps them stay crispy. Whoever invented doing that needs to win a James Beard Award. I also had clam chowder, which was rock solid, but my socks are still on my feet. To drink I had a Virgin Mary, which is a Bloody Mary without the vodka. It was pretty good. I highly recommend it for those behind the wheel who crave that distinctive flavor. Solidly average, but still okay.

We were brought to a table with a lovely view of the water and took our time with the menu. Our server had a trainee with her and was very kind and patient with her. We ordered the shrimp artichoke dip as an appetizer, the crispy chicken burger with onion rings, and the cod sandwich with clam chowder. The dip was so good! It was very oily, a little too oily for my taste, but the flavor was fantastic and it wasn't fishy at all. I do wish they gave us more bread, though, as we ran out and still had dip leftover. The chicken sandwich was good, but the chicken was too small so some bites were just bun and lettuce. The onion rings were fine but needed more salt and seasoning. The chowder was alright but was oily and a bit gritty. I've had better clam chowder down the street for sure. The staff were busy but nice. We weren't left alone for too long. I did wish we were given water refills, the whole meal we only had one glass of water each which isn't enough when you are eating salty seafood. The restaurant was pretty clean and tables were turning over quickly. They have their own dedicated parking lot, but if you can't find a spot there is also plenty of street parking. All in all this was a fine place to eat. It was fairly affordable for a tourist town, but it was pretty oily. The dip was the best part, even with how oily it was. Without the dip this would have been a 3-star visit, but the dip definitely bumped it up a bit.
