Luckily, there was a gentleman outside directing people in, otherwise we may have walked right past it. Once you climb the two flights of stairs, you're rewarded with a beautiful dining space. The restaurant has a rustic, old-world charm with gorgeous décor and an Italian-inspired atmosphere. It immediately felt warm and inviting. There were four of us dining, and we started with two appetizers: the Setas Rellenas and the Chorizo al Vino. Both were excellent, but the Chorizo al Vino was my absolute favorite--absolutely delicious! For my entrée, I ordered the chicken lasagna. I expected chunks of chicken, but it was made with shredded chicken, and wow--it was incredible. The flavor was outstanding, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of our trip. My husband ordered the beef lasagna, which was also made with shredded beef rather than traditional ground beef. He absolutely loved it. Our friends ordered the Milanesa de Berenjena and the Milanesa de Pollo with a side of gnocchi, and both raved about their meals as well. Since nearly every table seemed to be ordering pizza, we knew we had to try one. We ordered a small pizza for the table, and each of us had a slice. Now we understand why they're known for their pizza--it was fantastic! A special shoutout to our server, Rouil Rodz, who was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Don't let the unassuming entrance fool you. This restaurant is a hidden gem with a beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food, and excellent service. If you're visiting Old San Juan, I highly recommend adding it to your list.

What a fantastic stop…read more Me and my four friends did a tasting tour and then set out back on the terrace. Be a mistake... Smoking cigars and sampling various cocktails. It was a fantastic day and the rum was quite amazing. The general manager, Freddie, came out and chatted us up to let us know how much they appreciated our business. The special process they head for almost 150 years was quite impressive. Every person that we met was incredibly friendly and super helpful for our total trip in Puerto Rico. I would totally recommend this place.

Our tour guide, Luis, was so amazing, and he was so knowledgeable!! We learned so much about the rum, how it's made, and the history. The property was beautiful and the rum was delicious. With the tour, you get a drink token and are able to order a drink from the bar. I literally had the best rum mule I've ever had in my life! My husband ordered an old-fashioned and he said it was probably one of the best he's ever had as well. The tour was so relaxing and the vibe was so chill. They offer several different rums. A 2-star, a 3-star, a 4-star, and a 5-star. They were all great. I noticed the pricing isn't bad for the 2- and 3-star, but when you get to the 4- and 5-star, it jumps quite drastically. Overall, it was a really fun experience, and I definitely recommend checking them out.

Love-Love-Love this place!…read more I was geeked to go here because for one I was on vacation on a beautiful island with my beautiful woman and two they were right down the street from where we were staying. Upon entering you are welcomed by a set of stairs that lead you to an open floor plan that is decorated simple yet somewhat of a beach theme. There wasn't any employees anywhere to be seen except the patrons enjoying themselves so we were somewhat confused on what to do so we walked over to the register and were greeted by a gentleman from the back. He said we could sit anywhere we'd like and he'd come and explain how things work. He explained to us that they use a wristband and the taps have a sensor and we scan our wristband and it measures how much we get each time and we are billed by the ounces we pour; what a great concept. We enjoyed many of their beers, each one just as great as the last. My personal favorite was the peanut butter porter, delish! The ordering for the food is by QR code which I hate, but it is what it is. I feel like if you're paying for food and giving a tip you should at least bare minimum have someone taking your order and tending to your needs. We ordered: Fish tacos 5/5 Croquettes 5/5 The one employee who was working was kind and courteous and great, so we left him a nice tip on our beer and food, which were separate bills. We will see you again the next time we are on the island. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks again :)

The decorum is welcoming and a variety of seating. Yanilka provided great customer service from the moment we walked in. She explained how the bracelet we would receive after giving identification would give us glasses of beer. We could taste an ounce or a gallon, but you would pay by the ounce upon closing out your bill. I tried a lot of the beers. The one that stood out was the stout with coconut. It was memorable and delicious. They had two other pours, the sangria with ginger and turmeric, was also delicious. I had the bean salad with pita chips. I enjoyed the seasoning on the beans. I also had the chicken alcapurria, it was good. The dressing served with it made it even better. Great service! They need to add a happy hour menu or some daily specials to get more patrons.

Trip Advisor recommended arriving early to enjoy the welcome drink, and we are glad we followed that advice. The drink was excellent, and the on site grill gave us a chance to try some local cuisine before the tour began. There were also plenty of great photo opportunities around the welcome center, which we took full advantage of. Our tour started promptly with our guide, the very charismatic France. She mentioned she was new, but she carried herself like a seasoned professional. Her mix of humor and Bacardi history made the tour engaging and enjoyable. We saw the exterior of the factory, explored the museum with its artifacts and displays, and watched a short film about the company's legacy. At the end of the tour, we sampled premium Bacardi blends and then visited the gift shop. The tour lasted about an hour, which felt just right. The gift shop was well stocked with a wide range of items, including many varieties of rum. My only critique is that the shop does not accept cash, which is my preferred payment method. Even so, I purchased a nice Bacardi cigar ash tray with my credit card before we walked back to the welcome center. From there, we went to the ride share area and took an Uber to the Catano port, where we caught the short ferry across to Old San Juan. That spontaneous add on turned out to be a highlight. It was fun, scenic, only twenty minutes, and cost four dollars for two people. It was a great bargain. Overall, the Bacardi tour was fascinating, informative, and very enjoyable, thanks in large part to France and her energy. We left feeling like we truly understood the history of the rum and the company. It was absolutely worth it.

Be wary if you're booking tours online through Viator.com that your time slot doesn't get changed or book directly through BACARDÍ.com. That was my mistake Viator.com is a 3rd party vendor. I was bamboozled & thought it was directly from Casa BACARDÍ . The property itself is gorg, photo op ready,& well-kept,and you can immediately tell you're stepping into a major part of rum history.
