What an excellent brewery. We stopped in while at the Sonesta down the road and found a great brewery and restaurant. We had shared a bunch of appetizers and I had a flight. All were great. And it has to have the best view of any brewery in the country.
Nice place, huge inside with an industrial look. Great service from Adrian. He was very attentive and friendly. He recommended the Ocean sampler. It had fried shrimp, ribs, fish bites and sausage. The ribs were fantastic, crispy yet tender in a sweet and tangy sauce. The fish bites and shrimp were in a crispy, crunchy batter. Both were tasty and cooked well. I had a lager beer flight, 5 Oz servings of 5 different beers, each one was tasty. For dessert, we had "pudding". It was a type of cake or pastry with a creamy rum sauce. It was delicious. They have a nice store attached to but merch. Good place to grab a cold beer and some good food
Location is amazing! Sitting outside, listening to waves crash on the shore, drinking some beer, eating yummy food. Essence of vacation! We had the cheese board with the local Manchego - it was amazing! We also had a pizza and wings and lots of other assorted stuff. Food was delicious. Beer and drink options were great. Service was super friendly. Great dinner spot.
Second time here in 3 years and Ocean Lab grew up. lol. The store and restaurant are now on the ocean side of the same property. They adjoin Vivo Beach Club which has beach chairs and pools and event venues. The beer flights are fun and you can choose one of these or make your own. We liked the Baraka best. And the BOB was good too. Not that they are alike in anyway. Food was delicious and we did not expect it to be so good. So pleasantly surprised and recommended. To sit at the ocean's side and have some beer and food is lovely. The service was great. Constantly checking back to see if we were ok. We started with a beer and a flight of beers. Had the pretzel bites that were a special and they were special!! Loved them. Andrew presentation. The shishito peppers were delicious with a touch of soy sauce. The brisket sandwich was soft and flavorful on really good grilled bread. The wedge salad was also very good. Nice bleu cheese. This is our stop before going to the airport and it keeps us in good favor for the flight home.
This place has a great atmosphere with a beautiful view of the ocean. Mostly everything we ate here was good. This had one of the best piña colada's we had in Puerto Rico. This place also has an amazing star with amazing shirts and other souvenirs. This is a must try and A must visit place. I will definitely go there again when I travel back to the island.

The space itself is beautiful with a complete ocean view. Eating and drinking with the waves by you is so relaxing and the perfect vibe. The food is amazing as well ! The sampler is a must try and the burger was incredible. And of course you HAVE to try the beer. Get a flight and thank me later.
Brewery? Meh! I've been to over 300 breweries in my life and this is more like a resort and absolutely nothing like a brewery. N O T H I N G The vibes here were off and all the people I saw here looked angry and/or unhappy which annoyed me because I was by the water trying to enjoy a good IPA with my gf while taking in the views. The service sorta sucked too and every employee was either on their phone, talking to each other, not paying attention to paying customers, or talking to one customer for 15-20 minutes and ignoring other patrons, but it did a get little bit better once another girl started taking care of us. Thank you! We didn't try any of their food because we had ate in Piñones prior to coming here but the food we did see people eating did look good. We also stopped in their retail store before leaving and purchased some items. It is a nice place but not my kind of vibe so I doubt I'll ever come back here the next time we are on the island. Also, you are charging people to park at your so called brewery/restaurant while they're about to overpay for beer and/or food? GTFOH Not recommended!

This is a great find. The food was good, beautiful setting over looking the beach. We caught the sunset during dinner. Couldn't ask for a better backdrop. Service was good, food came quick.
They moved to the ocean side of the beach club, but it's as good as it ever was. Relaxing beach view, attentive service, and fresh, cold beer. And excellent food!
"Born on the Beach" @oceanlabbrewingco This was my third time to Ocean Lab Brewing Company and it was probably the best one (always a great experience though). Ocean Lab is in Carolina, Puerto Rico directly east of San Juan. They do have restaurant and beer locations in Old San Juan and San Patricio! During this visit, I had one of the best beers I've had in awhile: -Condado West Coast Pils 5.6% This delicious westie pils is in collaboration with another one of my favorite breweries that I've been to @trippinganimalsbrewing (second pic) Pictured: 1st: Ocean Blonde Ale 5.4% 3rd: Hop Diver DIPA 8.1% (also quite amazing) 4th: Ocean Mambo Passion Fruit Wheat 5.5% Their Brewmaster Smash Burger with Bacon was PHENOMENAL. The sweet/spicy house slaw and onions give it perfect flavor and kick. The views are quite lovely as well If you're ever in Puerto Rico, let me know! This is a fist recommend for brewery lovers (and for some great food too). #puertorico #oceanlabbrewingco #brewery

This was a great spot to grab lunch after a night out at La Placita the warm breeze, ocean views, delicious margs, and fresh foods were just what we needed!! We had the croquets, tartar, Greek salad and plenty of margs!! Service was also lovely! We did not get a day pass to the pool rather our server suggested we go to the public beach next to the resort and had the beach to ourselves. It was perfect!! Lunch and a VIEW!!
Great food service and ambience. We loved our meal - perfect spot before heading back to Colorado. Also thanks for taking such good care of the stray cats
Had a great experience during our quick lunch stop at Ocean Lab. Their setup is just spectacular - beach facing seating, beer, and great food is exactly what we had on our mind. Christian was our friendly waiter who recommended some excellent summery beers; our favorite being Maya West and B.O.B - both very refreshing and local Puerto Rican! Cheese Pizza ($12) hit the spot for our little one, but the real winner were the Pig Latin Tacos ($12) - packed with flavor. Shrimps in Garlic Sauce ($24) were a little on the creamier side, but the Tostones served with them were very tasty! Service was excellent, pleasant music, beach vibes - couldn't have asked for more! read more

Food, pretty good. Price, kind of expensive. Ambiance, great views. Wait time for food, wicked long. Kitchen took 45+ mins to deliver our food order. Beers, meh. Giftshop, clutch. Water service was non existent. Suggestion: separate families so children aren't running into my table and touching me. Poor parenting can't be helped but the restaurant can at least minimize the trauma to other patrons who are trying to enjoy their vacation. read more
How will I ever find this vibe again? The most beautiful and stunning brewery I have ever been to. The only other brewery that can stand up to this as far as views is Tree House Brewing in Sandwich, MA. We came in on a busy Sunday afternoon and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. No big deal, we could walk around and browse the store. 10 mins later, we got a table! The beer is phenomenal, the food is solid, the atmosphere cannot be beat. Do not skip this one. Tip: it's inside the entrance of Vivo Beach Club and parking is $5. read more

I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful restaurant/taproom and gift shop. Located on a picturesque beach it offers excellent food and a large offering of the Oceannlab beers. You can easily spend several hours here taking in the beautiful views. read more
This place is amazing! Five bucks to get in and you get full access to brewery as well as the beach club here! Ocean Lab makes what is likely the best local beer in all of Puerto Rico, too. If you like beer like I do, then you really owe it to yourself to come here and drink some. Do it now. Because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Tomorrow could be the kick-off for Armageddon, the war to end all wars, the battle royal of good verses evil. And if that happens, this place might close for the day, and possibly longer if this war washes up upon the shores of this island. So please, don't let an apocalypse get in your way of visiting the Ocean Lab Taproom at least once. Live a little first! read more

We came in around 4pm on a Saturday for a few bites before catching a flight, and everything was absolutely delicious! From the freshly brewed beer to the beautiful scenery and ambiance, it's one of my favorite places to stop at. read more
Ok, so you would expect me to start out a review of a brewery talking about food, but the calamari salad at Ocean Lab is one of the absolute best dishes I've had anywhere, so I need to mention it first. This Puerto Rican/Japnese fusion dish that combines tostones, calamari salad, and spicy mayo is absolutely perfect. Nearly every table of diners had at least one of these dishes, and I would highly recommend you get it too (it's also dairy free). Now for the beer. Ocean Lab makes a ton of different beers, from more refreshing lagers and sours/fruited beers, to pale ales and IPAs. The lighter beers are definitely the star here (after all, it's hot, right?), so definitely get one of those. I liked the "Maya" and "Ruby" a lot. The view of the ocean is really nice (the restaurant is set on the second floor). The gift shop here is really cool, and you'll definitely find some swag you want to take home. They offer singles of almost all of their beers as well (plus 6-packs), so you can take some home/to your hotel with you. An uber from the Caribe Hilton was about $12. However, it was hard to get a ride back, and I ended up walking all the way to the main hotel zone (almost a mile) where I finally got an uber to pick me up. read more

Absolutely the coolest brewery I've ever been to. I'm from Colorado and love visiting breweries... this one is a MUST! The waitress we had was so sweet. Such a great atmosphere and view. Bring your swimsuit for the pool. Heads up parking is $5 but worth every penny. read more
I was only in Puerto Rico for 5 days but visited Ocean Lab twice. It was that good! The atmosphere was not very authentic Puerto Rico but it was amazing nonetheless. The food was so good and well priced. The gift shop had very good quality merchandise and had a little bit of everything! The BOB (Blood Orange Blonde) was my favorite but the Ruby was a close second. read more

The food was PHENOMENAL! The Kan Kan was deliciously crispy and flavorful. The tostones were absolutely perfect. The shrimp with the tacos were some of the best shrimp we've had. The ocean mambo beer was so refreshing with the passion fruit notes. The service was great and the ambiance was fun and inviting. Great job! read more
This place is a must visit for anyone who comes to San Juan. I come here every time I'm on the island and it never disappoints. Let's start with the atmosphere. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful pool area and the beach. It's breath taking. The music is always great and if you're lucky you may even catch a fun party. The service is great. Insanely attentive and they have good recommendations. The beer and food options are a plenty and you cannot go wrong. My personal favorite is their pumpkin ale. There's also a store where you can buy all sorts of awesome swag and take home some of their lonely brews. Go here. As soon as you can ;) read more

OMG I'm so stuffed right now!!! We got the sampler and split a chicken sandwich, oh and an order of truffle fries . Everything was great serious. Personal fav was the chicken sandwich but the sampler had everything and everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and we were served right away. The place is beautiful and I would love to visit for just drinks and apps. Very happy with the brewery, can't wait to go back. read more
The view from the restaurant/taproom is stunning! We got seated right away so we got to pick our table looking out to the beach. I ordered the Surf and Turf tacos - the mole pulled pork was tender and flavorful and coconut shrimps were crunchy and delicious ! Chris ordered the Kan kan! It was huge, crispy and meaty! read more
My husband tried Ocean Lab Beer at our hotel and fell in love with it. So much so we went to the awesome brewery/beach club on the beach twice in our short week stay in PR. We tried several of their beers and loved all we tasted (just wish we could have brought some home to AZ). But, also want to mention the food was amazing as well as their other cocktails. Both lunches had great and friendly service and the views were so pretty. When we were there it was never too busy despite it being a great deal for a beautiful beach club. Our first lunch we split two appetizers, the cheese plate and the Tuna Timball and I had a Margarita which were so good and actually filling. On our last day we returned and I had the fried chicken sandwich with a sangria and both were perfect. My husband had a Greek salad and had loved the Tuna Timball so much he ordered it again. He loved this place and beer so much he said next year (he has business there once a year) he wanted to stay within walking distance (haha). This place has so much to offer! read more

A restaurant with a beautiful room, delicious food, and attentive service! We came with our family and was quite a big group, but our server checked in on us frequently and our food came out pretty fast! 90% of the food we ordered was very flavorful. The only thing we all weren't the biggest fan of was the fondue appetizer, but if you like to taste IPA in your cheese then that's for you. The sampler appetizer, chicken wings, the tacos, and the pork was so yummy! read more
