The coco pitorro was so smooth you can't taste the rum but will feel it later. Pitorro is Puerto Rican moonshine infused with fruits to mellow the flavors. Really strong alcohol if you get the right kind. Bartenders let you try it. They bring you all the bottles. Nice bar to enjoy drinks and chat with the locals in a more relaxed atmosphere away from the more vibrant high energy of the neighboring bars playing reggaton. We were glad to stumbled upon this bar. They also have a food menu but we mainly ordered appetizers chicken wings and fried cheese. Great spot and awesome staff!

Respectable brewing company in PR…read more.. We had OLB at Vivo Beach Club while visiting PR... They brew some really solid beers that can certainly stand-up against bigger brewing companies. We really liked their IPAs and lagers, which were smooth and not overly heavy bodied. The beers are strong so be beware, but OLB has a good selection of lower ABV beers (as well)... A brief aside: If you're driving here, expect a mess. Coming from SoCal, we make forays into DTLA and deal with similar stresses -- one way streets everywhere, dense traffic, extremely limited parking, pedestrians everywhere (many intoxicated and stumbling into traffic), potholes/construction, police closing lanes without reason, and stray cats running through the streets. Ubering here may be worthwhile! We had a 45 min wait, likely exacerbated by Spring break in PR. We used our free time to walk Calle de la Fortaleza -- very beautiful. They called my cell phone when the table was ready (don't forget to turn off your Spam blocker!). The interior is very unique and the place was buzzing. Service was slow, even by PR standards, and our waitress was the worst in the restaurant. She said little, brought us bottled water when we asked for tap, and never came back to check on us. We flagged other waiters for other incidentals like napkins and for our bill. The garlic knots and pizza were great. The pepperoni pizza was 10/10, with a fluffy crust but crispy otherwise. The Margherita pizza was average -- the tomato was sliced too thick and undercooked and the dough was soggy. In spite of some hiccups, the place was really good and I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that a second trip would be better -- other tables had good service and the other waiters were very helpful. I'm still not sure if we were give bottled water because we were gringo tourists and they figured they'd up charge us or if it was an honest mistake.

It was a fantastic day and the rum was quite amazing. The general manager, Freddie, came out and chatted us up to let us know how much they appreciated our business. The special process they head for almost 150 years was quite impressive. Every person that we met was incredibly friendly and super helpful for our total trip in Puerto Rico. With the tour, you get a drink token and are able to order a drink from the bar. I literally had the best rum mule I've ever had in my life! My husband ordered an old-fashioned and he said it was probably one of the best he's ever had as well. The tour was so relaxing and the vibe was so chill. They offer several different rums. A 2-star, a 3-star, a 4-star, and a 5-star. They were all great. I noticed the pricing isn't bad for the 2- and 3-star, but when you get to the 4- and 5-star, it jumps quite drastically. Overall, it was a really fun experience, and I definitely recommend checking them out.

Upon entering you are welcomed by a set of stairs that lead you to an open floor plan that is decorated simple yet somewhat of a beach theme. There wasn't any employees anywhere to be seen except the patrons enjoying themselves so we were somewhat confused on what to do so we walked over to the register and were greeted by a gentleman from the back. He said we could sit anywhere we'd like and he'd come and explain how things work. He explained to us that they use a wristband and the taps have a sensor and we scan our wristband and it measures how much we get each time and we are billed by the ounces we pour; what a great concept. We enjoyed many of their beers, each one just as great as the last. My personal favorite was the peanut butter porter, delish! The ordering for the food is by QR code which I hate, but it is what it is. I feel like if you're paying for food and giving a tip you should at least bare minimum have someone taking your order and tending to your needs. We ordered: Fish tacos 5/5 Croquettes 5/5 The one employee who was working was kind and courteous and great, so we left him a nice tip on our beer and food, which were separate bills. I saw a post from them on Instagram and immediately reached out to see if they could provide a tour for us. They happily obliged and were really excited to host our group of 4. We were warmly greeted, received a welcome beer, and was taken to where the beer is brewed. We got a really good history of the brewery, the team, and what the brand represented, and we were able to taste a sample of the beer right from the room-so cool. Trip Advisor recommended arriving early to enjoy the welcome drink, and we are glad we followed that advice. The drink was excellent, and the on site grill gave us a chance to try some local cuisine before the tour began. There were also plenty of great photo opportunities around the welcome center, which we took full advantage of. Our tour started promptly with our guide, the very charismatic France. She mentioned she was new, but she carried herself like a seasoned professional. Her mix of humor and Bacardi history made the tour engaging and enjoyable. We saw the exterior of the factory, explored the museum with its artifacts and displays, and watched a short film about the company's legacy. At the end of the tour, we sampled premium Bacardi blends and then visited the gift shop. The tour lasted about an hour, which felt just right. The gift shop was well stocked with a wide range of items, including many varieties of rum. My only critique is that the shop does not accept cash, which is my preferred payment method. Even so, I purchased a nice Bacardi cigar ash tray with my credit card before we walked back to the welcome center. From there, we went to the ride share area and took an Uber to the Catano port, where we caught the short ferry across to Old San Juan. That spontaneous add on turned out to be a highlight. It was fun, scenic, only twenty minutes, and cost four dollars for two people. It was a great bargain. Overall, the Bacardi tour was fascinating, informative, and very enjoyable, thanks in large part to France and her energy. We left feeling like we truly understood the history of the rum and the company. It was absolutely worth it.

We did the Legacy Tour, which was pretty relaxed and casual...you can comfortably wear sandals. If you're booking one of the more premium experiences, you may want to check the dress expectations ahead of time since some tours are more formal. Overall, it was a fun experience, especially if you enjoy rum, cocktails, and learning a little local history.
