We went here to satisfy a picky 8 year old. I expected it to be pricey but I also expect more than styrofoam bowls and plastic ware when I sped that kind of money. The menu says they have Diet Coke...someone needs to tell them Diet Coke and Coke Zero are not the same thing! I ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. The bread was fresh and soft, which is a definite plus. The pork wasn't very flavorful but the ham was good. The taco salad was huge. They have a very large dining area and it is very clean. The staff is bilingual (English/Spanish) as one would expect.
We were so disappointed in this experience. The price was way too high for how low quality the food and service was. We anticipated mediocre food (it's an airport restaurant after all) but this was just BAD. The fish tacos were a greasy piece of fish laid on top of way too much lettuce and the sauce they put under the lettuce was almost sour and tasted like it turned. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary spicy and then had to ask for hot sauce , salt, and pepper to try to make it even remotely drinkable. We ended up returning it and just getting a beer. When our server finally came by the table (the two times he checked on us the entire meal) he showed me the 15/20/25 percent tip on the bottom of the receipt and told me we had to choose one of those. We are good tippers but this service and the food and the drinks were all terrible. And then to get the bill and it was over $100 for us to eat less than fast food quality food was just insulting. No manager available to speak with and nothing was rectified during our visit other than changing the Bloody Mary out for a beer.
Ate lunch here while waiting for our flights. We were impressed by the price and food considering that it is located in an airport. I really enjoyed the fish tacos and habanero sauce. The rice and beans were a bit salty.

They seem like they were fried fresh yesterday then put pack into the fryer to warm them up for serving. Check out the robust celery stick they serve with it. Daughter ordered the $35 coconut shrimp -you get 5. And fries. Waitresses don't write any part of your order down so naturally things get forgotten until you ask for them.
The portion of the food were ginormous. Our server was really nice. The volcano nachos needed to be layered with cheese because the inside didn't have cheese.
I have never had tortilla chips as stale as the ones I had here, served along with what has to be the blandest salsa on planet Earth. Holy shit, it was bad. Jimmy Buffett is rolling over in his grave right now because it was so awful. The staff here is completely inattentive and in their own world... I sat there at the bar a good 45 minutes waiting on my flight to board, just watching them. Are they all just really stoned? That's my guess. It took about 10 minutes, but I ultimately got someone's attention so I could pay my check and go. The beer was cold, which is the only reason this place isn't a one-star stop.
We headed to the airport extra early on Christmas Day. Not sure of what long lines we were going to face. However, we had a real easy time getting through with so many hours to kill. We stopped at the restaurant that was open and had these fish tacos. They were really good and flavorful. I usually don't try Mexican food outside of my home, but this place did a decent job. I was weary because of the bad yelp reviews. They were the only ones fully operational. Service was nice and he sat us away from the large families. We had a good view of people walking through the airport and Maid for a nice experience. We recommend the fish tacos.
The price for the quantity of nachos is good, at $24.99. The plate serves at least four people. However, the nachos were all bulged from the top to the bottom, making them impossible to eat. I don't recommend them!
I went here to relax a bit before my flight as I had a bit of a wait. It honestly didn't look so busy, but for some reason the service was horrible! I ordered a drink and some chips and dip. I honestly was thinking they had to go harvest some tomatoes and make the salsa since it took so long to get it. The guy did admit that he was the only one and was going to get it. Odd because I observed 2 other people working the bar area and 3 other employees just hanging out talking. The gentleman sitting next to me has a Cuban sandwich which looked delicious and he said it tastes great, so they have really good food and drink selections, unfortunately they are lacking in the service department. The Caribbean Hurricane I had tasted great and I would have ordered another one of the service was better, but for the prices I decided to pay my tab and head towards the gate to catch my flight. For those reading this thinking that maybe we were somehow "lost in translation"; I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and therefore had no language barrier.

AirPort tourist trap with $27 burgers Fish tacos feature deep fried cod like fish and chips on a plain unheated tortilla; nothing resembling an actual fish taco. Guacamole Burger was okay but the guacamole came from a jar. I substituted fries for rice, which was overboiled and mushy. Margarita was good and service was fine. read more

I think this is only the second 1 star review I ever posted. If there was a negative star option, this place would get it. Not many options to eat in this airport and this place happened to be near our gate. It really wasn't our first choice but we needed food. No ambiance at all, it lacked personality and hospitality. We stood at the host station for over 5 long minutes without any assistance so we figured it may have been a seat yourself type deal. We got to a booth only to be told we couldn't sit there ( there were like 3 tables being used out of like 25+ ) The service was awful, attitudes and not a single smile from anyone working here. They had a very limited breakfast menu and I know prices are higher in airports but damn at least make it look nice and taste good. The food had no flavor and had to watch people around us get their food before us even though they got sat after we were here. Not once did our server say anything to us or if we needed anything other than are you ready for your check!?!? read more

The price for the quantity of nachos is good, at $24.99. The plate serves at least four people. However, the nachos were all bulged from the top to the bottom, making them impossible to eat. I don't recommend them! read more

While waiting for our flight we stopped in here. I hope Jimmy Buffett stops by one day because I don't think he would be very happy with the representation of his restaurant chain. We expected the prices to be high because it's in an airport, and they were high! The margaritas were good but as you can see in the picture, they were very small for the price! $16 and up for a small cup ugh. As soon as the server came to the table, she announced that several of the popular dishes were not available! So we had to go back to the menu and try to figure out some thing else. The food was OK, the coleslaw could use some help. The burger was average at best. Please, Jimmy Buffett come save your franchise! The service was so-so. We would not go back here if ever in the San Juan airport again. read more

I wanted a light meal before my flight, and this salad was more than that. I sat as soon as I entered. Being an airport, it's a very open concept but not loud at all. It took a while for my server to come to me, but I then realized he had several tables. After I ordered my salad, it didn't take long for it to come up me. Boy was it huge! I don't recall the type of dressing but I was a little sweet. I was only given 2 containers of dressing but the size of the salad calls for more. I was given one more by my server. Overall, I had a great meal before my flight. read more

Service was phenomenal Omar worked very hard !!! Way OVER PRICED!!! Chips & salsa were delicious! $9 Chicken quesadilla was disgusting!!! $20 They use shredded chicken marinated with a ton of salt unfortunately French fries $9, were delicious and my husband had the burger $22, it was messy but not the worst but not the best either:( Drinks were also very expensive, even a coke was $7. Unfortunately not a place I plan to eat at again but there also is not a lot of food choice either. Price is probably typical of a airport restaurant read more
While we were seated pretty quickly; the wait for a server to come to our table was incredibly long. Our server apologized and let us know that she wasn't even aware that we were even seated in her section. The food was good. The prices were the regular "airport expensive" but surprisingly was the least expensive of the other restaurants in the terminal. read more
A large, airport restaurant that gets the job done! If you're in the mood for casual American and/or seafood and want to be full before your flight, here's a great option. Air Margaritaville had a line waiting to be seated but the line was moving quickly. My family and I arrived at the airport an hour early so we didn't have to worry about the time. There's a decent sized menu with a solid variety of apps, burgers, salad/soups, seafood, and a their signature key lime pie. I ordered a guacamole burger, my partner ordered fish and chips, and my parents split a mahi mahi platter since they weren't so hungry. Prices were what you'd expect at an airport, more expensive. But it was worth having a place to sit and grab a bite, and also conveniently located across from El Market if you're looking to do some last minute shopping while your group finished up their meal. If you want something less bustling, I'd suggest eating at another restaurant/cafe that's more tucked away. read more

This restaurant is in the airport so super busy, but service was good. Seated quick and after ordering food came out quick. Presentable dishes and food was of great quality. Recommend this place for airport food, not bad at all. read more
In Terminal B, this restaurant is a large, open, and roomy place for lunch as we had hours to wait before boarding our flight. There was a line of about 20 people waiting for a table. We sat in wicker chairs near the walkway, and our server came by soon after we sat. Our food arrived fairly fast, and the serving size was quite large. We took our time because we had a lot of time. read more

They really take advantage of the fact that you're stuck in an airport and have no where else to eat. $20 quesadilla was good but very oily. Caesar salad was not great. The lettuce looked old too. Service was only okay. If you can eat somewhere else do. read more

Was here a few years back on our way home. I remember eating here last visit before our flight back home. Ate here with my hubby, brother and his family. Food was all so-so, it was rather expensive though. Service was okay. read more

Came to Margaritacville in San Juan airport. We didn't know where to sit because there was NOONE at the hostess booth so we proceeded to seat ourselves. We were met with the most unfriendly, unprofessional greeting from OMA. She basically rolled her eyes and THREW two menus at the table she sat us at. We asked for another table and she told us that that was for four people. Mind you, there was not one patron sitting at a table. Immediately afterwards she sat TWO WHITE patrons T the table we requested. We got another server , Sindy, and asked for a manger. She did there was no manger on site. It should be noted that Sindy was afro Latino. Oma stared me down for the rest of my breakfast. Once my food came out, there was a LONG WHITE hair in it. I showed it to the first server to pass me. Her name was Maria. She had bright hair. I put the hair back on the plate. She sent my server, Sindy, over who asked me to show it to her!!! I couldn't find it. It was a white hair on a white plate and I would think that showing it to Maria would have been enough!!! Sindy took the order back and brought me a fresh omelette. My trip to Puerto Rico was seemingly perfect and this RUDE unwelcoming visit to Margaritaville ended it on a bad note!! Do yourself a favor and go eat somewhere else. P. S. Food was subpar, slow and barf...the hair. 72.98 worth of hateful customer service!!! NEVER AGAIN. read more
My first (& probably last) meal at this chain. What a sad, sad state of affairs for Jimmy Buffett's restaurant. First of all, they have a captive audience. There really isn't much of a selection at the San Juan airport - and after 6:00 many of them shut down. So we opted for Margaritaville expecting what you get at any chain restaurant. The only way that I could describe the experience is like being in a beehive with no Queen. Plenty of workers buzzing around but not really doing much. The diners sitting next to us got a very attentive server who was going beyond the call of duty to make her customers happy. Our server, on the other hand, could care less about us or his job. We sat (at the bar) for a good 10 minutes before he approached us, and even then we had to ASK to be given menus. His body language and expression said it all: he clearly wanted to be anywhere else but at work. My drink ("It's 5 O'clock Somewhere") was too sweet to finish - and I like sweet drinks! My friend finished his beer and never got asked if he wanted another. We arrived at Margaritaville a full hour before our flight was set to board. 45 minutes later we were still nursing our drinks waiting for our food! We asked for the food to go and it still took another 15 minutes. The icing on the cake was that they served us on plates - we told them that we needed it to go. It was at that time that someone who appeared to be a supervisor heard us and admonished the server for the mixup (& the delay!). His response to her (in Spanish) was "Well they originally ordered dine in!" - as if the mixup was OUR fault!!! $81 for 2 burgers, 1 beer and 1 syrupy drink. That includes a $5 tip (they're lucky I tipped anything). My tip to you: if you're forced to dine here - scope out the servers and the clients then try to get one of the good ones. Otherwise you might wind up eating cold, soggy food on the airplane. read more
