Very clean and nice restaurant. Service was good and there were a lot of people in and out, a steady flow of customers. Food came out hot and fresh made to order.

Just happened to be in Webster to meet up some friends. Decided to give Ocean Sushi a try based off recommendations. Overall, sushi and menu similar to this other spot we been to near the mall. These were the most popular rolls that aren't similar to each other. Kyle special roll 5/5 stars (tuna, pickled wasabi, refreshing, citrus sauce) Oahu Roll: 3.8/5 stars (pepper tuna, topped white tuna & seared scalloped) Bergman Roll: 4/5 stars (yellowtail, tuna, fried leek) Air First One Roll: 4/5 stars (salmon/ocean trout) Next time we try bluefin tuna truffle and king crab roll. Which was also highly recommended .

Wow, Ocean is a total gem in Friendswood! My hubby and I had a wonderful date night at Ocean. We ordered their crispy salmon skin, the Oahu roll, Lover roll, and their Sapporo Miso ramen. We loved the crispiness of the salmon, the peppered tuna in the Oahu roll, the sauce combo on the Lover roll, and the spice level of the ramen. Everything was so well made that I'd expect this place to be somewhere in Houston instead. Even though we visited on a weekend during dinner time, our server was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other items, and maybe even lunch time!

Great lunch special at ocean sushi and ramen. We got the 9pc sashimi and two additional rolls and everything was delicious. It's hard to find a good sushi place in Friendswood but this place won't disappoint. Inside you'll find a beautifully decorated restaurant that would be the perfect spot for date night. Our waitress was very attentive and was so nice. Highly recommend this place for your next sushi outing

I've come here a handful of times - one thing I can say that is true every time is that their sushi is super fresh. Their prices are a bit high but I think that's kind of expected for high quality sushi . The lighting is really dim inside and the building is on the smaller side but they seem to be able to accommodate larger parties pretty well . I've tried rolls that haven't been my fav and others that I would order repeatedly. Some of my favs : App : yellowtail jalapeño with ponzu sauce is one of my fav things. Roll : Kyle roll Sides : brussel sprouts

I love that this place is so close to home. It's right across the street from my neighborhood. My son LOVES ramen. The gyoza is really good here with the sauce it comes with. My son loves the ramen but I feel it lacks flavor. Service was super quick and very friendly. The decor inside is cute too!

Why 4 stars? Because everything was solid. --- --- --- After writing over 3,000 reviews, sometimes I feel like I'm a bit of a walking cliche. What better word to describe 4-stars than solid? Not unbelievably amazing, not bad. Just an enjoyable meal -- that's what I experienced at Ocean Sushi. We ordered the following: Ocean 3 Roll: 3-stars. This was my least favorite. It was just really boring. I would not order it again. Crazy Roll: 5-stars. This one was my favorite, but it had a bit more of a kick than I anticipated. Cowboy Roll: 5-stars. Beef as the protein in sushi is weird, but I love it. And they did a great job with this roll. Spider Roll: 4-stars. Solid (as referenced above). 17 total stars / 4 rolls = 4.25. My intuition and my math are aligned! I'll even throw in that I'm rounding down .25 because I felt that the spiciness of the rolls was really amplified here. I came with my Mom and both of us had heartburn going into the meal, so we were extra sensitive to heat and are already kind of wusses to begin with. I probably would opt for alternative sushi in the future just for that reason alone.

Never fails to satisfy! Reservations were all full last night so we went over about 4:45 pm and we were able to be seated, before the crowds arrived. Started with the Pan seared Goyza - excellent dumplings would love to see an elevated spicy sauce with it! Husband enjoyed the Avocado salad. He enjoyed the American dream roll and it was the Special King crab with soy paper for me. We waddled to our car and drove off into the sunset! lol Delightful evening once again! Keep up the great job!

Came here recently with a group of friends. We all ordered different dishes . Ramen, sushi, bento box meal, and a lychee cocktail! Overall the staff was accommodating but because the space is new asking about recommendations isn't very helpful... The ramen was good ! Cocktail was strong and refreshing. Atmosphere was energetic and had a great "night life" scene. Con: the spoon that came with ramen is more for the aesthetics rather than being effective. Soup got cold fairly fast...

They were a 4.5 by me until this evening, been here maybe 2 dozen times since they opened one year ago today. We had a young waitress/server Jean was on her name tag although the hostesses weren't sure who we were talking about. Brought a friend here for the first time. Food was good despite very very very small size portion of shrimp and Conc esp for the price for their anniversary special. Been here maybe 2 dozen times since they opened. Service has always been good. Tonight's server and service was the worst I've had here and probably one of the worst servers ever. She was miserable didn't want to be there, Forgot to put orders in, even to bring two waters in the beginning. If I get this server again I'll walk out.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 5/5 Overall: 4.7/5 Gyu Ponzu - 4/5 - Not my favorite appetizer here, but I still enjoyed it. I feel like it leans a bit too much on the chili oil taste and struggles to stand on its own as a dish. I enjoyed the cucumber here, since it helps balance the overwhelming flavor, but I do wish there was more and it was cut into thinner pieces. Thai Style Chicken - 5/5 - Always has been my favorite dish here. The chicken is flavorful but not overwhelming. The lettuce helps balance the dish. The peppers add a strong kick if you're feeling spicy. The sauce is perfectly salty whilst not powering over the other elements. No complaints. Birria Ramen - 4.5/5 - Definitely not the choice if you want ramen, and thankfully I was not really craving ramen on this visit. For the standards of this dish, this is a perfectly good example of this dish. The broth is rich and extremely, almost to a fault, flavorful. The ingredients are not natural for a ramen, but they all somehow come together well. Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but it definitely was mine this time.

We were not the first customers and a nice crowd gathered by the time we left around Noon. It's clear Fuji Ramen has a good reputation and it is well deserved. The place is decent sized and has a nice vibe. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server quickly stopped by to get our drink order. She told us to take our time with the menu. Mark had a question when she returned with our drinks. Her guidance was informative. We ordered Gyoza to start. Mark ordered Spicy Miso Tonkotsu and I got Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The Gyoza was typical and delicious. Mark couldn't stop gushing about the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. In addition to the broth, the pork and egg were standouts. It was so good he had to pick up the bowl and ensure he got every drop. I was equally enamored with the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The noodles were done to perfection. The broth was slightly thick and delicious. I agreed with Mark that the pork and egg offered explosions of flavor. We would definitely be regulars at Fuji Ramen if only we lived nearby. Because we have family here, Fuji Ramen will always be on our list any time we visit.

Service was…read morefine, but I'm just not impressed with what should be the staple of a ramen restaurant--the ramen. Let's clap our hands for the pretty solid appetizers. Not at all mad about the gigantic, juicy, crunchy pieces of karaage or the reheated and dressed takoyaki (yes, wisdom teaches you things, and there's no way a restaurant can reproduce takoyaki [from scratch] that perfectly when they cant even maintain quality on their staple), but as happy as I am with the chicken, I will make the suggestion to bring back the spicy mayo and to keep the lemons on the plate. Although my partner didn't show it and said it was fine, it was obvious she was disappointed that she didn't receive a Demon Slayer soup spoon from ordering the monthly special since they were out of stock (waiter says there is no guarantee the spoons will restock). The promotion is set to end sometime in February, but I might take another long break from Jinya, again. I got the tried and true Jinya tonkotsu black, which was served with chewy (yes, chewy) pieces of pork chashu. I also noticed the wife only ate her toppings from her chicken yatai ramen and offered to trade her since I was mostly happy with mine. Wow, the monthly special, chicken yatai was super bland. I voiced my complaints about the yatai that was barely eaten and that the chashu was not rendered enough. He said he would let the manager know, who offered a complimentary ice cream mochi (ok, these werent bad). Ambiance: casual, loud with my type of music (pops, edm). The hard truth: not a place I could recommend to friends at this moment. Glad the owner is doing so well in this area and would highly recommend sister restaurants, but there's a glaring need for quality control here and maybe a bit more accountability is needed. Looks like I have some old pictures still uploaded, so I'll just go ahead and leave them in the post, but just take my word that the tonkotsu black still looks the same and the chicken and takoyaki are indeed as pretty as they are scrumptious.

This place continues to be my family's top hot pot spot, even after going to many locations in the greater Houston area simply due to the soup bases being so incredibly strong and the selection of ingredients always being top notch. The only things I have food-wise about this place are the following: 1. I think the meat selection is often inconsistent. Sometimes I will order the number 3 and 4 and it'll be really good, and other times it will be hard to eat. 2. I think that the noodle selection is missing like a handmade and hand pulled noodle. The closest thing currently is the lo mein, which I really like, but I'm still wanting more options. 3. Often, the sauce stations will have some empty bottles on the side, which is often inconvenient since I tend to add most if not all to my sauce.
