After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

Do not go here! Their chinese dishes suck! The general tsao's chicken is so heavily breaded, fried, and drenched in sauce leaving a very small amount of actual meat which is dark meat and often with grit/cartilage. I had a friend who worked here who said that a whole bin of chicken got dumped on the floor, and they just picked it back up and cooked it!! Four times I repeat four times they either forgot to deliver something or didn't put it in my bag for pick up leaving me to drive all the way back to retrieve the food I paid for. The employee working the delivery counter was unapologetic and condescending, I assume she forgot to put my sushi in my to-go bag because she was distracted talking to some friend instead of doing her job. Infuriating. I would get their sushi because it's close, cheap, and decent. The negatives now outweigh the positives in my incentives to go to 528 Bistro again. TL;DR: unsanitary food practices, poor service, and habitual screw ups on take out and delivery orders. Do not waste your time going here! read more

This place is decent. Their sushi is fresh. But, the last few times the food and service has not been great. I usually order delivery. They give an estimate of 30-45 min and it has taken over 90 min. They do not call or tell you they are busy. I can understand if they are busy and let you know. They lack on that and offer no apologies or anything for the inconvenience.. This happened several times in a row. I stopped using them and now use "Habi Asain Chef". They always deliver on time read more

I went here once with my family and will never willingly come here again. My raw sushi tasted okay...but a little on the warm side. Later on, after reading up on parasites in sushi that is not kept at proper temperature, I kinda freaked out a bit. There were other minor complaints a couple of my family members had with their dishes, but that can be forgiven. My concern with the integrity of their sushi struck me the most. read more

Service was slow, and the food did not seem fresh at all. I got the bento box and they didn't even serve miso soup with it. The fried rice was dry, the sushi was rubbery. Even supermarket sushi is better. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. In the end they served an orange with fortune cookies which was a nice touch. General Tso's Chicken is the only Chinese food I tend to order when I get Chinese food. That and House Fried Rice with shrimp, beef, and chicken. The preservatives sometimes messes with my stomach but the food tastes great. Oh, and they deliver too! Bonus! read more
