Prices are surprisingly reasonable. The staff here are kind and attentive. Our food arrived fast and hot from the kitchen. Everything was seasoned well, had plenty of flavor, and no extra salt. Our waiter Spencer was outstanding, he took time to actually have a good conversation and kept checking on us. We were shopping in this part of town and we were craving some fried rice and egg rolls. What a sad little place. It's hidden in a small area of other shopping behind an H‑E‑B. It should have more business, but there were no other patrons. Parking was easy- not many cars in this center. We were greeted by a hostess who sat us down at a booth. The entire restaurant was empty. We still decided to give it a try, the menu was actually easy to read. Prices were above average for such a small place. Fortunately, we did make the lunch hour and so we ordered off that menu. We had a choice of soup and it arrived quickly. However, the temperature was extremely HOT and NOT in a good way. I burned myself and I'm about 98% sure it was 'microwave' hot and not stovetop hot. It had hot pockets and it was just not fresh. The Miso soup looked ok, but it was also microwave hot. Needless to say, they weren't consumed. How does one mess up egg drop soup? No idea, but this restaurant managed. Our food arrived a few minutes after the soup and it looked okay. I had already decided on the safe choice of sweet and sour chicken (sauce on the side). Always better to be safe! The chicken was cooked to order as the crust tasted fresh, although it tasted a little too much like a Chinese donut. Is their secret ingredient sugar???? The rice was dry and needed a lot of soy sauce (they have the low sodium on the table). I ended up putting the red sweet sauce on it. It didn't help much, just more sugar. That wasn't finished either. The other meal was not finished either due to lack of flavor. It was supposed to be broccoli & meat. It had more broccoli than anything else. It also didn't look appetizing. We didn't take any leftovers and we don't plan on going back. I do wish more people would write reviews, this way we would know what we are getting ourselves into. BTW- the restroom sink had a very long time to get hot water to pour. If it hadn't turned hot at all, we would have walked out. The hostess and server were nice, but not enough to keep people wanting to return. My suggestion? Maybe the sushi and Asian cuisine at H‑E‑B would have been a better choice with our location. I give this place 2 out of 5 stars. 1 for service. 2 for a super quiet lunch. This is the place you go to if you don't want to run into anybody. Haha!!!! read more

Great local Japenese and Chinese Food. I have eaten here over a dozen times now and definately prefer the japanese dihes over the chinese, but I have yet to have a bad meal.
