So I really wanted to love this experience, but unfortunately it fell short in my collection of Hibachi experiences. Let's start with the positives, the restaurant itself and ambiance was nice, clean, inviting...lots of staff! Loved that they had a happy hour on a weekend day, we ordered sushi, sake, and crab puff rolls off the happy hour menu and they were all good. I feel like we would come back at some point and just do happy hour. Lots of good choices on the menu. Soup was very good, loved the soup. Salad was good, very tasty dressing. Soup and salad came with hibachi. Our waiter seemed very rushed, nervous, somewhat annoyed. This was our first time here, and first time looking at the menu. It seemed odd that he took our menus after we ordered a few things off the happy hour menu, if he would have left the menus we would have probably ordered more off the menu. We still had over an hour before happy hour was over. Drinks were okay, I ordered iced tea partner ordered sake. It was supposed to be cold, but seemed more lukewarm temp. Now for the Hibachi, I'm going to be honest it seemed like the guy was struggling. There was barely any interaction throughout the whole experience, and as you know that's what Hibachi is all about. I ordered the steak and shrimp, partner ordered the scallops. Everything was cooked with tons of oil, the shrimp and scallops were drenched in oil and there were some pieces that weren't cooked all the way through. Veggies were barely thrown on and taken right off, they were hard and lacked flavor. The whole point of grilled veggies is the slight char, and taste of the grill. He did remake the scallops but we didn't ask him to remake the shrimp or veggies for the chicken fried rice because at the point the medium steak was turning into very well done. The rice was okay, again seemed very rushed...veggies were barely cooked before chopped and grilled with rice. The service seemed very sloppy, rice veggies flung outside of grill, beside some of the customers plates...cleaning the grill to where we shielded our clothes a few times...he seemed very confused with the orders/waiters notes and seemed like he just wanted to be done. He spoke maybe 3 times the whole experience. I'd like to think that we just got a newer cook, the food itself may have been better maybe if we had a different cook experience. I've done several Hibachi experiences and this one was very lackluster, the table as a whole seemed very underwhelmed. The manager stopped by to discuss the scallops, gave feedback regarding the tons of oil, etc. He gave a military discount I believe about $6. Overall I think for a $100+ dining experience I definitely expect more in terms of experience and treatment of the food. Not sure if we'd return, the guy dining next to us suggested Shogun his issue was that the portion sizes were too small. We might do a stop in happy hour quick bite at some point, but not for Hibachi I don't think. There are so many other options to try. read more

I'm sitting down and doing my financial report from traveling this week and I stopped to drop my car off at Enterprise and since they were closed I put the keys in the Dropbox and I noticed samurai next door and decided to go next door and eat since I've been traveling all day and was exhausted I enjoyed the meal even though I had asked for green onions to be put in my food and they forgot but as I'm doing my financial report I noticed that the waitress charged me for two green teas I had asked her to refill my cup with hot water and she goes that's okay I'll just bring you another green tea I didn't know she was charging me $2.95 for a green tea when all I wanted was some more hot water in the cup that I originally had. We've been here a couple of times now and I really like it here. We usually go to the other Samurai location but this one seems to have faster service. Once we're seated, someone comes and takes our drink order. Then we're ready to order and a short time later, our soup and salad are here. I love the dressing on their salad. It's sweet but not too sweet. I'm not a fan of that ginger dressing at other hibachi restaurants. We usually start off with their temptation roll. Today we arrived within their happy hour so we also ordered their edamame and rock-n-roll off the happy hour menu. I got my usual hibachi shrimp and filet mignon with the upgraded chicken fried rice. I love their temptation rolls! Soooo good!! We've been to hibachi many times and the "show" gets kinda old because they all tell similar jokes and such. I'm just here for the food! I don't really pay attention to the show anymore. I just enjoy the freshly cooked food. We got a good chef tonight. I think it's the same one we got last time we were here. He makes the fried rice very tasty. Everything was good and we left with full, satisfied bellies. I think we'll probably stick to this location from now on since the service is much quicker here. We don't have to wait so long for a chef to show up at our table and the servers are always around or easy to flag down. Atmosphere was great. I like that they don't try to cram a bunch of people in one table. We have enough space to eat our dinner without worrying about being too close to other diners. It's nice here. Worst experience EVER! GENERAL MANAGER IS THE WORST PERSON! Our entire table had an issue with the cook as he was not properly trained. Our food was cold before we were able to even attempt to eat it. He cooked the eggs and rice first when there were steak orders. He scorched the eggs and still cooked chicken in my parties rice when they asked for no chicken. Oh! Do not forget the upcharge for chicken to be cooked in your rice, which I've never seen and it isn't on the menu that you'll be charged an additional $2.75 for your fried rice with chicken. I've never seen a hibachi restaurant cook chicken in the rice and then charge you extra for the rice even if you don't want the chicken. It's not even on the menu! The manager was also rude. We asked him over and over to remove certain items from our ticket because they did not prepare our food correctly and he refused. When we refused to pay, HE CALLED THE POLICE! After the police arrived, he finally agreed to take some items off my parties' ticket but not before he could get in a disrespectful comment. One person in my party frequently visits the place and she stated that as she stood there speaking to him. He responds by saying, "Yeah, you always come but you complain every time!" My jaw dropped! The audacity of this restaurant to attempt to charge us and then try to force us to pay for food we did not order is criminal. read more

I frequent at this restaurant since it is located near my neighborhood. Each time it has been a pleasant experience. Today, I just had to write a review on how awesome this place is compared to the many other hibachi places in the area. We usually opt for the hibachi area but today we decided to sit at the sushi bar. I am so glad we did. The sushi chef was such a pleasure to talk to. This was my husband and I's favorite restaurant. He passed away last New Year's. And I haven't been able to go back and sit down and eat. I'll getting step to go. My sister came in town for Christmas so I wanted to take her there. And I've always been so impressed but I was so disappointed. The show was Disappointing, he did not do all the little things that usually done. When he served, he did not give everybody a little taste of everybody else's as normal. Had already had my salad and my soup before my drink even arrived plus the food was not tender. I have dental plates and I've never had a problem with the food there because it was so tender. My friend loves Samurai Japanese Steakhouse, so when she heard I've never been here before, she grabbed me in a hurry, to try their lunch special. I'm glad she recommended this place, I really missed the Hibachi experience. The show they put on, while they cook and serve your food, never gets old. The chefs are really dedicated to their work. The chefs at every Hibachi style restaurant I've been to, always seem to have a wonderful time. Samurai Steakhouse makes the best fried rice. Our meat was tender and the stir-fried veggies were excellent. Samurai Steakhouse has a separate room for casual dining, and a booth where they serve alcohol, even authentic sake. They offer other menu items, including sushi. LOTS of sushi. I would love to bring my whole family here next time. read more

The way they handle the meat is unsanitary and dangerous to the public. They stack the meat on these old lunch trays that don't look clean at all and they don't handle the utensils for cooking properly. The food was great too. We ordered some fresh seaweed salad, Filet mignon, chicken, seafood cooked in the hibachi. The dinners come with onion soup(kinda bland), shrimp appetizers(3 pieces-big ones!), salad(meh), veggies and steamed rice. You can substitute steamed rice for chicken fried rice- extra $2.25. Do it! It's yummy! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, chicken were seasoned and cooked just right, the seafood hibachi cake with shrimp, oysters and white fish. Came here on a weekday dinner with my partner. This restaurant is NOT taking COVID precautions with regard to social distancing. They are CROWDING people in. They were pretty busy but had quite a few hibachi tables open. A group of 5 came in. We were seated with the group of 5 and the only thing separating us was a chair. This is not OK as there was not even 6 feet of distance AT the same table. 5 feet in distance was another hibachi table with another group. My partner ordered pork Katsu which was served with seaweed salad, white rice, and ketchup? WHY is ketchup being served with pork katsu and not katsu sauce? Nuff said. Accumulate the restaurant was 4 stars. Over all the prices are not super high priced for a Hibachi restaurant. When you order Hibachi you get a soup and salad. The dressing for the salad was amazing, like so good I could have drank it , I swear I saw some people doing that. The soup was about the same as other restaurants but still good. The meal it's self was still good I order chicken and shrimp and it was about the same as other restaurants.... What was missing was the sauce on the side, they had two sauces like most but I was hoping for that yum yum sauce and they had a different kind, nothing against the restaurant but was hoping for that sauce as well. Also the rice was good but not as tasty as would have hoped. They did add a lot of butter... No complaints it was still good. It was my daughters birthday so they did try to make her feel special. My son ordered a kid Kobe burger, both kids said they loved the fries and he ate a lot of his burger which is pretty good for a little one. Me and my friend went here last night, we were very pleased with everything! We had 4 different rolls that we shared between eachother. We started off with the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, we both have never had them before, so we chose those. They were delicious! Kind of line I big fried pickle. my friend ordered the samuri roll, as the American hero roll, I ordered the crunch roll and the Texas hybred. I have to tell you, all the rolls were Good! But my fave out of the 4 were the American hero, and the Texas hybred. Those 2 are a must try if you decide to choose this place to have dinner.
