My wonderful girlfriend had heard me talk about this place a few times before but had never been. She took me here for my birthday about 2 weeks ago! Wow, this place was amazing! We came on a Tuesday, there weren't many people in the dining area but there were tons of pickup orders. It was quiet, the atmosphere was very chill, and our waitress (I apologize, I don't believe I remember her name) was very attentive and sweet! We ended up getting the combo boil, we got snow crab, pork sausage, crawfish, and shrimp. I had never had crawfish before so I was very curious. Turns out, I don't like them. But that's just one man's opinion! Nothing to do with the prep itself, just not my style! Everything else was phenomenal though! The crab was juicy and the Cajun spices made it really pop! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a special meal, especially if you're a seafood fan! The price after having the combo and one drink each was about $60, or $30 per person. You can customize one or order a preselected boil. They have 5 different seasoning options and you can also choose your spice level. Hola First let me just say this. The service is more than adequate. The people are very kind and provide very kind service. The ambiance was also adequate. However, the food was cold. My girlfriend and I go to many seafood boil places. We have a knack for it. We always take our food out of the bag to eat it. Storming crab in the Waterfront taught us this and they are still to this day the best seafood boil place. Back to the story, it took 5 mins for the food to be cold and the meat did not taste fully cooked and the crab was definitely not fully cooked. Also, our appetizer, fried calamari was not fully cooked either. Very sad and uneventful but we will not be returning to this place to eat after this first and only adventure here. Even though the service was fine, the food was below average and we can't rock with that. I have been to the Ross location earlier this week and this Monroeville location can't hold a candle to the other one. This Monroeville location is extremely disappointing. Met some girlfriends for a birthday dinner at 6pm. It took 15 minutes to get a drink. I was ready to leave at that point but the others wanted to stay. It took another 15 minutes to just have our server come back to take our order. They only had the front bar part open so it really wasn't busy for how big the restaurant is. Our food finally came and was not the same quality I was used to at the Ross location but it was hot and still seemed good at the time. We finally left at 7:30. Slow service is an understatement. There where 2 servers and for the amount of customers that where there, really shouldn't have taken so long. After eating I went to restroom to wash my hands and I noticed how filthy the bathroom was and then I started looking around. I wish I would have done so before eating because the whole place was dirty. Now I am home and my stomach isn't feeling so good. While our server was slow she was nice. However I know people twice her age that could have ran circles around her. Either way I will never be back to this location. I regret not taking more photos of the filth but I didn't take my phone to the restroom. read more

The first seafood boil restaurant in Pittsburgh! I've been waiting patiently and it did not disappoint. I've been to restaurants in other cities so I know how they work. This place got it right and I highly recommend it. They dont have their liquor license yet so I'll update my review once I've tried their drinks. The menu was impressive so I look forward to checking it out. I had the shrimp and snow crab boil with mild cajun flavor. Love it! Not to spicy or overpowering. The portions were perfect and it was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was clean, everyone was friendly and they have a great menu. I look forward to trying other menu items. Parking is hit or miss since it's in a strip mall but I think I'll make a habit of going during the week to avoid weekend crowds. First timers or veterans alike will love this place. read more

On Sunday, March 5, 2023 I went to the Ocean Treasures Cajun Seafood and Bar restaurant located in Monroeville, Pa 15146. I ordered the shrimp (no head) and clams combo. The only complaint I have is the clam meat was too small for the price. The clam meat was smaller than a U. S. penney (see the attached photo for details). I do not recommend the clams. Visited for the first time over the weekend and left thinking that it may be one of my new favorite places. The food here is unreal. They have all manner of fresh seafood which you can order by the pound, half-pound, or in combo form and they take your selections and boil it all together in a bag with your chosen sauces and seasonings (I highly recommend the house seasoning) and at your chosen spice level. Depending on how your order, you'll get potatoes, corn, and eggs in your bag as well soaking up those same juices. It's messy, but they do provide you with a bib and gloves to dig your way through it. I usually don't enjoy food that makes me work for it but, in this case, it was more than worth it. To top it off, our service overall was excellent and very helpful. We'll be making a return trip sooner rather than later. read more

If I could give more stars I would. We have been so happy every time we've come to Ocean Treasures on McKnight Road. The quality of the food, the service and of course the friendly robot that wanders around playing a happy tune. We heard him singing happy birthday the other day to someone and it was delightful. Our food has always been outstanding, if you are looking for a fantastic, delicious seafood meal this is definitely the place to stop. Oh the fried shrimp is delicious their calamari is fantastic. Are usually get one of their seafood boils. I think my favorite so far has been I combination of 1 pound Of crab legs and a half a pound of shrimp altogether with whole red potatoes, 1/2 ear of corn, And a hard-boiled egg. I ordered calamari and crab legs and it was super flavorful! I choose the Cajun seasoning for my crab legs, which was seasoned perfectly and the crab meat was tender! My husband and I really enjoyed Ocean Treasures. I am originally from Maryland, so I can be very picky regarding seafood but this restaurant did not disappoint. I will admit that when we walked in we had second thoughts about staying because the music was quite loud and there was a party waiting to be seated in front of us that was quite boisterous and dressed like they were at the club. But we stuck it out and I sm glad we did. The staff was very nice, attentive, and helpful. They took the time to explain the menu and all of our different options. We had the hush puppies as an appetizer, they were very good. For dinner we both chose a combo, did the house special seasoning, and I did Medium for spice level, my husband did XX-Hot. I like a little bit of spice, so medium was perfect for me. I even had a little bit of nose running by the end. The seafood was cooked very well and the house seasoning was delicious. Just went to Ocean Treasure in Monroeville for the first time. I got a pound of crab legs and a side of hush puppies. I like that you get to pick your own seasoning and if you want the seasoning spicy or not. I got the seasoning that mixes them all together and it was really good. The food was pretty good but I didn't like the service at all. The waitress was rough around the edges, not very friendly, and seemed annoyed when I asked a question or asked for something. She could stand to have lots of training in customer service. Not sure how new this place is but they definitely have some kinks to work out. I asked for crackers to crack my crab legs and was given a pair of scissors (pictured below). Looks like she grabbed them from someone's desk. They need to have proper utensils for paying customers. I found this place by searching for restaurants nearby and was pleasantly surprised to see this new treasure. All kinds of seafood boils were offered such as whole shrimp, clams, snow crab legs, muscles, et cetera. I shared a make your own combo where I chose a half pound of snow crab legs and a half pound of clams. It also came with potatoes and corn on the cob. We also threw in a half order of sausage. They gave you the option of different seasonings and sauces. I chose garlic butter and mild. It arrived in a plastic bag inside a pot. Lobster bibs and gloves were provided for the very messy and delicious meal. I have high standards for seafood and this met them. The clams were cherrystone so not very large but still scrumptious. The waitress was pleasant and the manager came to check on us twice. The decor was interesting as I think it has some left over wall art from the previous Chinese restaurant. We got them home and my girlfriend couldn't even crack them open because of the nails/thorns on the legs! The meat inside of the legs seemed as if the crab legs were sitting in the water for a while, very soggy. This was the worst 40.66 dollars I've ever spent! I've gone to Joe's Crab shack and got two 3 leg clusters of snow crabs for 36.00!! In a pan, with something to crack it with! I don't know what everyone else has eaten on here, but this was trash!! I stood right in front of the employees in the entrance, TWICE, they refused to take my order, right in front of them, had to call it in, no one would answer the phone and yet they said they couldn't take my order in person, only on the phone THEY WOULDN'T ANSWER!
