OK, let me start by saying I'm always leary of reviews, and this businessx had a lot of great ones, which sometimes makes me skeptical. However, I am so pleased with the work done on my truck that I am going to write yet another great review for this small business. My truck was damaged by UV rays during the pandemic, and the clear coat was peeling like crazy all along the passenger side of the truck. I knew the damage was too intense to do any simple repairs, so I decided to have the whole truck painted, even though it's a 2012. I took it to Shawn at Oceanside Paint and Body last Monday and was quoted a very reasonable price, a way lower price than the two other places I checked, and though this made me a little apprehensive, the good reviews made me trust in the shop. Boy, am I glad I did! I got the truck back today and it looks like a new truck! The work was done so perfectly that I can't even tell it had a paint job except that the clear coat is no longer peeling. It is beautiful and I'm am a happy camper! When I told people the price, everyone warned me that you get what you pay for. The dealership had quoted me over 12K, and OPB was 1/4 of that and it was a perfect job. I have never taken the time to write a review, but the quality of care I experienced with Shawn could not go unrecognized! I cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend bringing your car here. Shawn repaired my Rav4 after a rough accident in what felt like the blink of an eye, the process was so seamless. Throughout the repair he was extremely communicative and transparent about what to expect and timing. Updating my review because I'm livid now lol. Shawn, you did work for my husband and made me feel as though you were somewhat of a trustworthy individual.. false. I get everyone sees the good reviews on here and you'll probably think "wow, auto body shop with multiple good reviews -- I'll go with this one!" Do NOT. I got my car repainted her a year ago and as you can see the SLOPPY paint job he did but what I don't have a photo of is my paint peeling off my car now. A YEAR into having a new paint job and it's peeling on top of all the other sloppy work YOU did because I know you're reading this. Shame on you. Shame on you for taking advantage of military families. Shame on you for taking advantage of ANYONE who dares to walk into that shop. I hope people read this review and understand that people are likely not updating their reviews which is why they're 5 stars. Go literally ANYWHERE else but here. Shawn was absolutely amazing. I loved how he did everything possible to deliver my car by the date promised. He kept in such great contact to keep me informed. Honestly, I think he figured out that I may be just a little neurotic. LOL. The work he did was so fantastic. Honestly, when I picked my car up I had to walk around to make sure it was my car. You would never know that just 4 weeks before it had been in an accident. On top of doing an amazing job with the body work, he washed my car and polished up the tires for me. It looked just beautiful when I picked it up. While it was at his shop, I asked his associate in his office who does window tinting to do the tinting on my windows. I own a 2012 Porsche Cayenne that didn't have a scratch. Unfortunately I scraped the rear passenger door and wheel on a steel plate. The normal Porsche body shops told me I needed to replace the rear door, a very high cost repair. I read many of Shawn's reviews and decided to visit him. Brought in my daughter's car to get it fixed for her after bumping into a post in her parking garage. Unfortunately, a lot of parts had to be replaced along with body repair.
