I had a mixed experience here. When I was homeless, I needed shoes for wide feet and long toes. I was discriminated against by someone here who refused to let me try on more than a couple options. He told me "he could tell I didn't have large feet" I find that to be misogynistic and abusive because obviously I know the size of my own feet and what I can wear and walk in. I was wearing a men's 14 at that time. The first time I came in I had a really positive experience, I was looking for a beanie and was given two free beanies for some reason, I was wowed by the kindness. FINALLY! A place that has a good selection of shoes for cover my boats... I mean skis... I mean feet! For years I've been stuck looking at the same boring never changing shoe shelf at the local Casual Male XL's. Each store has the same shoes and then only change their stock ever 4 years... or so it seams. I know I could always buy online, but that sucks! You gotta try a shoe on, stomp around, and see if it feel weird. You need a brick and mortar store to do this. Finding Oddball was like finding a thirst quenching oasis in the middle of the hottest desert. They have a great selection of trendy shoes. Hell I bought a pair of DC's! I've always wanted DC's, but my mammoth feet have always been deprived of their awesomeness. The employees were friendly and helpful. I love the rapport they have built with each other. Hearing them playfully insult each other made me chuckle. They did say there we going to be selling clothing soon. It's a small place, so I'm not sure how great of a selection they will have. So I looked up the place on Maps and said they were open. They're legit the only people who carry my size. So I drive over and park round the corner. As I walk up to the front door, masked and all, I find the doors are boarded up and the door is locked. "Huh." So, I walked around the corner and asked the gentlemen who were working in the back with the side door open if they were open or not: Immediately the guy with the beard came off "yeah were appointment only now and listen we live in a shit hole and been broken into a four times." - Whoa Okay One: the attitude thrown at me was more of a "Who the f' is this and this a'hole doesn't know shi*" which REALLLY puts me off. Like, dude, I'm not even a PDX native, just a customer. It's my bad I didn't look on your website but your attitude with reasoning was just down right rude and appalling. Two: I appreciate the gesture of asking if I wanted to come in, but as I was looking for pricing and not buying today, I felt I would be wasting your time and Pissing you off even more by asking for a proper foot sizing and recommendations. Three: I appreciate the apology you gave in allowing me to express how I felt put off, and I still love you guys, but you lose a star for that incident. Still recommend you guys and the fact that you're legit the only guys I've been coming to for about two decades for male shoe sizes above 15. I was very disappointed in Oddball Shoes, I ordered shoes online there and they came in the allotted time but they were to small for my foot. I read reviews on the shoes to see if they were true fit to make sure I got the proper ones and so I ordered what I wear and that is size15. I contacted Oddball, and to sum this up, it cost me $17 to send the shoes back, $10 for return shipping and I didn't get my tax back. I will never order from this company again. read more

My shoe size kept up with my age from age 11 to 17 and has remained narrow. Just ordered three pairs of shoes and all three fit. No returns. I love the Oddball brand socks. This place is pretty sweet. Now don't get me wrong, I hate shoe shopping more than anything and find it is a necessary evil. This place is an answer to prayer! I have the pleasure of having a son who is 6'6", 250 lb, throws 90 mph+, and has size 17 feet. Now if he were the first round NBA pick shoe companies would make him custom shoes. So finding baseball cleats is very hard, but for everything else there is THIS place! Oddball Shoe Company is wonderful. They have a great selection of styles and sizes. Even my 20 year old finds something that he will wear! Because the quality is so good he has been able to maintain 2 pairs for the past year and a half. When I ordered a size larger than my order history they CALLED me to ask if his feet grew! When I Internet ordered and forgot to put the correct size in they CALLED me. So do I have to say it? They have great customer service. My only problem? I have 10.5 feet so I can't order from them. As much as I'd love to go to this mecca in person, I'm reviewing the online purchase I made with Oddball. As a size 16 with a wide width, it's hard finding shoes that will fit my feet without bursting at the seams. Big online retailers don't care about people with big feet and local shoe stores have the plainest selection available. I was looking for a somewhat scarce pair of Nike Air Force 1's and I had the hardest time finding them in black. I lucked up and came across Oddball's store and I was blown away by the wide array of brands and sizes they had to offer. It was great to know that I have a place I can keep coming back to! I once ordered a shoe in the same family from Adidas in a different size from the previous time. Ben, the shoe manager stated to me that Nike is a fashion shoe and that it should never the worn in the rain. As a general manager yoy would think you could handle resolving a defect in shoe that has a leak in the bubble. He hung up the phone three times because we didnt believe we were being treated fairly. My wife was even nice and the guy still hung up. He told my wife and i that i should have taken my shoes off from the car to my house if it was raining. Worst customer service ever and i will be contacting the better business bureau.Never buying from this horrible company again. read more

I have worn size 16 shoes since I was 12 years old. Shoe shopping has always been depressing. When my shoes wear out, I can't just go to a random shoe store and pick up a pair. The exceedingly friendly owner helped me to try a variety of brands to find the right fit and look. The man knows his business. I have a size 15 foot and for most of my life I have had the darnedest time finding shoes that actually fit. I would usually settle for a size 13 since that is the biggest size most stores carry. I am hardly a fashion conscious guy but need a semi dress shoe for work. With the constant nagging of my wife I found myself making the trek into the big city from rural Washington County to check out this shoe store that carries big sizes. I walked in, found a style that worked for me, the staff gave me a size 15 and I put it on. WOW!!! A shoe that actually fits and the price was reasonable. These people are great! I wear size 17 and I got tired of wearing only Basketball shoes. Not only do they have a whole bunch of styles, the staff is courteous and friendly.
