I ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza with an order of buffalo wings. The dough is unique and presents a good flavor with the sauce I do wish it was thicker though. The wings were crisp and the buffalo sauce was delicious. My only issue was the staff didn't know if they should tend the cashier or help the bar and they had two people at the to go orders which seemed excessive compared to the line of people waiting to be served. read more

So for starters let me say not being able to make a phone order or online order at this point has to be a joke. I understand being busy but get with it. So I decided sure I'll head down there and scoop a pie up. Boy was I wrong. Got in line with two people in front of me to wait just about 15 minutes because the staff looked to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Just to get up front and ask how long will it take for a to go for them to respond with probably an hour. I'm sorry but no thanks. Just so happened to see a friend having some pizza so went over to hang out with him for a quick chat. He offered a slice which of course I obliged being a pizza connoisseur I never turned down a pizza slice. Apparently it was their pesto option, and after trying it frankly I'm glad I didn't wait because what a disappointment. Not only is this place overpacked because of its size they apparently tell nobody that they're busy and have no room at this point. So you're literally sitting side-by-side rubbing elbows with people. So in good conscience no the ambience of this place in my opinion is not worth it especially having no out of restaurant ordering options. Which mine you I still can't believe is not an option at this point. So no, I can't recommend this place right now in good conscience. Not only was the slice of pizza I had subpar at best they still can't figure out how to keep that place running efficiently having been open for well over a month now. While this whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth I'll check back in a few months and hopefully they got it figured out by then because frankly, it's ridiculous. read more

The service was amazing, the lady taking my order was friendly and helped me choose what to order. I ordered a slice of Rebel Rebel for takeout and I got it relatively quick (5mins). My only complaint is that the pizza's crust was very burnt and sadly only tasted burnt, so I didn't eat it. I couldn't do anything about it since it was takeout and I didn't check until I got home. I recommend checking the order to make sure everything is good with it, otherwise it's a nice place. read more

EVERY. STAR. POSSIBLE. We love great pizza and we're pretty picky about what's great and what's "just good". This pizza hit all the marks. The crust isn't overly sour like you might be expecting from a sourdough, but it had a mild tang. The crust was airy, soft, and perfectly crispy on the top and bottom. We tried several different pies and all of them were well balanced and delicious. All of the ingredients taste fresh - especially the basil. Go for the grandma style crust if you want that extra crunch of crispy edges. We live in La Mesa, but we will definitely be bringing friends back here. I'm only sad that it's going to be so busy next time we go, because this place is going to be so popular! read more

Insanely good. This has very quickly become our favorite pizza spot in San Diego. We've tried both NY and Grandma Style of different pizzas and you seriously can't go wrong. It's definitely best when it's hot and fresh out of the oven, but the Grandma Style holds up great for takeout The atmosphere is fun and the staff has been good. The only negative thing we could possibly say about it is this place gets packed and seating can be hard to find. Hope they open more locations! I went to this place with my classmate when it first opened in May 2025. The line was out the door, and tables were packed with families. They had a great selection to choose from: New York-style, Grandma-style, and Gluten-Free pizzas. Which made it difficult to choose, but I went back to my favorite (New York style) and ordered the Benny and the Jets, which my classmate and I devoured that night. Then we clearly asked if they could substitute BBQ sauce for buffalo sauce on the pizza, they said yes, but the pizza still came out wrong. Odie's will absolutely be our new go to. We are locals are were skeptical but excited to try this new spot out. It was unbelievably packed this past Saturday; first Saturday they've been open. Desi was quick to walk up to me and give me a run down on how to order, all with an extremely welcoming and positive vibe. We ended up sitting at the bar which gave us an awesome opportunity to see the going's on behind the scene. Clayton, Desi, and Miley were HUSTLING! All of them were smiling and having a great time, but they working it. We ordered the Thin New York style pizza, half Welcome To Paradise and half Viktor Vaughn. We also ordered the pizza pockets. So bomb!!! Their IPA options were phenomenal! Pizza Port, Artifex, Pure and Burgeon. What?! Stoked on this too. 10 out of 10 they are giving their "Radical Vibes". I've been driving past Odie's for months just waiting for it to open--and when I saw it finally did, i grabbed my keys and headed straight there. Totally worth the wait! I'm a huge sourdough girlie, and their crust did not disappoint. It's got that perfect crisp edge, chewy center, and a little tang that makes sourdough so addictive. Like, I would honestly eat a whole plate of just the crust. I got their lunch special--two slices and a beer for $13.99--which is such a good deal, especially considering how big and delicious the slices are. I also got a side of ranch, and it was SO good. Super creamy, flavorful, a little herby... I was dipping everything in it and already regretting not getting an extra one. My only complaint--and it's kind of a big one--is the pie display setup. The pizzas are shown below the register, and the top row is really hard to see unless you crouch down and basically turn into a pizza detective. Not all of them were labeled either, which made it confusing. I ended up ordering the wrong one and didn't realize until I got my slices. Yeah, they have menus, but when the pizza is right in front of you, you kind of just want to pick what looks good. I really hope they rethink that part. But honestly? I'll still be back. This time, I placed a pickup order and went to the counter, where three employees completely ignored us. First off Pizza was fantastic. However, place is very small and extremely busy. You order your food and they give you a number then track you down in the facility. They have a great beer selection, yet you don't see it until,after you order. Also, there is no parking. You have to park some distance from the facility and walk or walk to the place from your hotel / beach rental. However if I lived there I would find work around to the inconveniences. read more

Sitting here on New Year's Eve and I feel compelled to write a review. This place is simply the best. As a family with two kids under 5 and a 1 year old we don't dine out much. But somehow we hit Odie's pizza several times a month, if not weekly. The pizza combos are excellent, always a hard choice which combo and if we go NY or grandma style. The reason I'm writing the review though is how awesome the environment is. The staff is superb, always engaging with my kids and keeping the atmosphere great.
