Damn the staff here is rude. Rude, rude, rude. Lots of the games are broken and run out of tickets when you are playing. This place gets very crowded on the weekends and they don't have enough of the rude staff to take care of the place. The adventure climbing thing (forgot the name) is big and looks cool for the kids but it is not monitored when it is crowded and the kids run crazy. The ball pit turns into a ball fight every time and kids whip the balls at the smaller kids all the time. The staff does nothing to stop them. The food is way over priced and not the best quality. This place is really a dump. I can take my daughter here and she will have fun but I am a nervous wreck the whole time trying to make sure she doesn't get run over and we don't get ripped off. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This park is disorganized, dirty, and full of punks who rule the park. Many of the people running the rides do not know what they are doing, and obviously do not care about the customers. Many of the games inside did not work leading to lost money on my games play card. They could at least mark the games as broken, but then they would not get the money. That's how I see it anyway. When we first had problems with one of the games, there was no one around to help. If you left the game to find someone you would risk losing what you did put in the machine. There are kids running around with no supervision. Lord knows where the parents of these kids were, but they were not with them. This whole place is worse than awful now!!! I remember when this was a great place to take your family for some good fun. I was so let down by this place that I joined Yelp just to warn other parents. I took my 14 year old nephew and 4 year old son to Odyssey Fun World in Tinley last night for a treat. I will not being going back there anytime soon. The place was just run down, and understaffed or something. We did not play many games cause most of them were out of order. The staff that I encountered were nice and friendly, but I don't think there were enough of them considering the creepy guy lurking the mini golf course or maybe then need cameras or if they have them need to pay attention or need security? While we were golfing we bumped into a random guy just standing there talkin on his cell phone with no ball or golf club and then he decided to just walk right through our hole while we were golfing, no exuse me or sorry, like we where in his way or space....jagbag! The mini golf course was missing tee pads, the lights were only half working in the tunnels, the "puddle" traps were all empty and paint peeling and chips everywhere. :-/ I don't think I would let my kid go there with anyone else even cause who would expect strange men to be lurking around like that either, yikes read more

I probably shouldn't give the zombie hayride such a bad review. I mean it probably gave me a genuine experience of what a zombie apocalypse is like... standing in a crowded military tent for hours, nothing to drink, lots of B.O. When you get there it's very deceiving. An outdoor line winds three times and goes into a tent. The line moves very slowly, but you're encouraged that the line ends at a military style tent. Once you get to the tent you discover... guess what? Another longer line that mazes perilously inside a stuffy tent that smells like armpits and mothballs. Don't worry, there's a cage with mechanical zombies and a guy dressed in some kind of HAZMAT costume there to entertain you. Yeah, they pretty much just stand there. They could at least throw in some stand up comedy. Or some chairs, because you literally wait in that line for two hours. After you get to the end of the tent line you're led to... guess what? Another tent! Congratulations, you just made it to the third line. This time they have actors dressed in military camo uniforms pretending to brief you, and some video footage including videos of PEOPLE WAITING IN LINE TO GET TO THE ZOMBIE SAFARI. It's like your life being flashed before your eyes before your brains get eaten. When you finally get to the truck, it's been 3 hours and you just want to shoot some paintballs at some zombies already. This was kind of fun, I have to admit, even though the zombies were pretty much guys dressed in pitbull trainer padding. It's like shooting paintballs at walking mattresses. Some of them even pretended to fall down dead. We got to a point where we got to buy 100 more paintballs for $5. I bought more, but with only a few more zombies to shoot, it wasn't worth it. Five minutes later we're being instructed to waste the rest of our paintballs. That was $5 I'm never going to see again. To sum it up, shooting paintballs at zombie mattresses was pretty fun. But then again shooting paint balls at ANYTHING is fun. And when you have to wait three hours for something that wasn't really a mind blowing experience, you leave a little disgruntled. This place is just as bad as Odyssey Fun World. First I will review the "fun farm" and then the zombie hayride. We arrived to be turned away because it was raining. They said to come back in an hour so they can dry everything. We went back an hour later and were told that the inflatables would be open as soon as they were dry. I stupidly assumed that they were drying them. Nope. On a 40 degree day with no sun they were letting them air dry. At the time they were closing none of them were open. They also had some bouncy pillow. The kids we were babysitting went and jumped on it for about 40 minutes. Someone came over and said they had to take their shoes off. We replied that when we got there, it was covered in water and sand, and they just replied "we know." We asked if they could clean it off, and they replied "no." The kids also enjoyed a sandbox that was filled with corn kernels. Of course, I had to make sure they didn't kill themselves, because there was a loose board, with two giant screws sticking out. Another attraction was some kind of house frame with pumpkins in it. Not sure what the point was. We then decided to take a hayride. We waited around for about 15 minutes where we were told. We watched several employees hang out and talk. We watched people on golf carts drive up to them and away. When I was spotted taking a picture of the employees standing around doing nothing, we then watched somebody else in a golf cart go up to the employees that were hanging around and tell them to give us the hayride. The hay, of course, was soaked with water, but the tractor that pulled us had a bag over the driver's seat, so at least he didn't get wet. The driver didn't even look back before he started going. Someone trying to get on fell, as did some other people that had just gotten on and hadn't sat down yet. For my wife, me, and two little kids we babysat, it was $40. Ripoff. I'll post pictures later. The zombie hayride was also a big disappointment. There were about 3 or 4 parts of the hayride that had people in zombie costumes. They just stood there and waited to get shot. Between each stop they encouraged everyone to buy more paintballs. Before the very last stop they said that everyone should buy more paintballs because there were a lot of zombies coming up. Of course, after the last stop, the people that bought additional paintballs had to shoot them into corn fields because the trip was over. They are also mounted turret style, so a lot of the zombies will be out of your range of motion. After the last stop they started cheering and talking about how we won. All this while the supposedly dead zombies got up and started talking with each other. When I said that the zombies were still alive I was ignored. So rather than let people shoot the still-living zombies, this was the point where they told everyone to shoot into the corn fields. First time going and for a kids birthday party. Not too crowded on the day we went. The place looks clean and well kept up. Party rooms are ok. The old Show Biz Pizza robots are in the party area. They look old and are falling apart. They need to be retired. Main arcade and second floor are clean and open. The two rides for kids seem not to have a height restriction. Food is good. If you buy the $21 bday party package nothing from outside is included or the play area or laser tag. The only thing that was DISGUSTING were the restrooms. Looks like they have not been clean in months and new toilets seats would be nice. Notified one of the attendants regarding the coaster cart being unstable. Place was good and bad: The good: my kids aged 6 and 10 had fun. My mother in law visiting from put of country had fun. My wife and I had fun. Bumper boats was good. Go kart track was good, better than most. Daughter did the indoor adventure and liked it. We came on a Monday and dropped $20 per head on the wristband for indoor and outdoor and we got our money's worth out of that. More offerings than Enchanted/Trails. The bad: Place needs an update and a little more TLC. Garbage on the floors, indifferent staff, outside grounds need a facelift. Zip line is a joke and an expensive one at that. Mini golf looks ok but nothing special. Speed boats and go cart island were closed down. Half of kids bouncy area outside was closed and run down. Enchanted / Trails was more polite, attentive, and always cleaning Indifferent: food. Didn't eat here. Probably Ok for a kids bday party. Final verdict: not a bad place for kids to go burn off some energy to burn some of your wallet This place could be better if they threw a few dollars back into the business and gave it the update that it badly needs and increase their staff training to be more polite attentive and actually bent down to pick up garbage off the floor. Ace, Skit & I wanted to partake in a game of laser tag, we arrived shortly after 9 whereas they close at 11 & oh did we feel it! Much of the staff seemed to be completely bothered that we required assistance. We bought the Extreme wristbands which were $25 a piece (there's a buy 2 get 1 free coupon on the website). However they neglected to tell us that they would be closing the attractions down around 10pm. I had to request that the bumper cars & laser tag be reopened. So, the wonderful employees at this place decided to report my one-star review on grounds that it did not contribute anything. They had first asked that I take down the review because the "zombie hay ride" was not their company. IT IS. YOU ARE OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY WITH AN ADDRESS NEXT DOOR. In my past review, I compared the level of fun of the zombie hayride to watching paint dry, and stated that I was too lazy to write a more creative review. Let me get this off my chest...THIS PLACE SUCKS, or at least, the Zombie Hayride. I am a late 20s man that went here with some friends on my birthday in October. We knew ahead of time, it might be super corny, but we thought it would at least be somewhat fun. Naw. As we got there early we were one of the first few groups in line. Even that being said, the wait time was nearly unbearable, and luckily it was warm that day. If it was any colder we would have died due to prolonged exposure. So, after the line to get buy tickets to get to the line to get to the lines to get to the 3 lined tent, you get to experience a 5 minute hayride that is a complete joke. First off, the guns had such low pressure you couldn't even tell they were being fired. Secondly, there were technical difficulties at every stop. After the first "encounter" that was target practice "that was about 30 seconds", they gave you the option to refill your paintballs for 5 bucks. I didn't even know I was supposed to fire yet. After that, there were 2 more "encounters" that lasted maybe a minute. I had several paintballs leftover because I was expecting a much longer ride. All in all, there was not a single redeeming quality about this experience, and I hope the organizers of this abomination experience some sort of perpetual mild inconvenience for ripping the hopes and dreams out of kids and people that just want to have a good time. read more

I went here for a zombie shooting hayride. Found it on livingsocial and thought whats not to love about that! Well yeah... There is a corn maze - BRING YOUR OWN FLASHLIGHT! Cause you can buy one for 4 dollars (and get two back if you return it). Don't waste your money on something so little. I didn't go to the corn maze cause it was SO muddy out. The hayride line was SO long. It was so cold too. People came by later with hot chocolate for sale... $3 per cup. Which is just water and chocolate. Rip off and they could have come sooner. The hayride itself should have been longer. We waited like an hour and a half for a mabye 15 minute ride? The "commander" we had was awesome, super funny and got into real good character. You get 75 rounds. Which go by REAL fast. and the second half the ride you can get 75 more... But for 5 bucks. I was pissed about it, but it says it on the site I guess. Like the ride stops in the middle and they're like if you wanna shoot more its 5 more dollars. Bit of a buzz kill.. It was a lot of fun to shoot the zombies, but I feel it could have been more scary. Only one actually would come up near the truck we were on. I don't know if the others didn't have good padding or not, but yeah. They also didn't really look zombie like which was disappointing. I took my grandson yesterday. Will never go back. We got there at 11:30 decided to play minature golf. The girl never told us that it didnt open til 12. When we finally was able to play one of the holes was broken. Was never told this. Waterfall still after a year isnt warking. Someone was cleaning holes while we were playing. Then we decided to purchase bumper boats. Waited inline 15 minutes. Girl told me she couldnt scan the card cause machine is broke. This is my third year coming here with my family for my young brother's birthday. He loves it here due to the activities (laser tag, video games, mini golf, go karts, etc). We usually order pizza, soda, fries, and icy's. One lady from the party order a personal side of pizza and cheese fries; however her food was cold when she received it. She immediately brought the food back and asked for another slice of hot pizza and fresh fries. A gentlemen told her the policy was no refunds and he was not going to give her fresh fries since he considered nothing was wrong with them. Another lady told her to ask for the manger. The manager was polite and gave her a refund. There is a 90 minute limit for the tables. I would recommend not purchasing the birthday party package which is $200 and instead bringing desert and party favors for the tables that are available for everyone. read more

1 of 2: We got this on a Groupon, $35 for 2 tickets to the zombie safari + flashlight corn maize. So much wrong with this place. So much. Where do I start? Wait: 2.5 hour wait. Speaks for itself. Also, the "exhibition" tent was LAME Zombies: Awful. They looked more like a morbidly obese version of the Tin Woodsman from the Wizard of Oz. As in, their trunk and four appendages where just huge and cylindrical (from all the padding). No zombie clothes. No zombie masks or makeup. There weren't many of them either--- maybe 7 during the whole "safari." The vast majority of them didn't even try to mimic scarey zombie movements. They just stood there, only slightly moving... looks like they just gave up and didn't even want to try. One who was moving was dancing around like a teenager, which was more comical but not scarey. No zombie noises. Nothing. "Safari" - Awful. Was billed as a 15 min safari, but I could have sworn it was only 10 min when I checked my watch. What's more, it's not like you're getting 15 min or continuance zombie shooting. The zombies (all 7 of them) are sporadically placed at cleared-out portions of corn every 100 yards or so. So after you're done shooting one scene, you're just left doing nothing and twiddling your thumbs for another 1-2 minutes until you arrive at the next scene. And each scene only has ONE "zombie" (some didn't even have that-- it was just a model/manikin zombie.... yet, EVERYONE on your side is shooting at the same target. How are you even supposed to know if your shot connected when 10 other people are shooting at the same thing in the same color paint? "Paintball reload" Awful. Everyone got 100 paintballs to start, and by the time we reached our "half-way reload station" (optional buy-in $5 for 100 extra paintballs) I prob only shot 20 of the 100 I started off with. NO ONE bought the $5 reload. Awkward. It seemed more like a desperate ploy for money-grubbing an extra $5. Then, as SOON AS we left the reload station and approached the next zombie scene, the guide screamed, "THIS IS THE END! UNLOAD ALL OF YOUR AMMO!" Turns out that halfway reload station was more at the 80% finished mark, not half-way. By the end of the safari, I had so many paintballs left that I was literally shooting at the cornstalks for target practice. Corn maize: Awful. Like others mentioned, it's bring-your-own-flashlight, or else you pay an additional $4 to rent one. At the entrance, it didn't look like it was all that dark, due to the big overhead lights above. So we went through the maze without a flashlight and with absolutely no trouble seeing AT ALL. So glad we didn't waste money renting a flashlight. The corn wasn't even high-- it was chest level or shorter, so obviously, it wasn't a true maze-like experience because we could visualize all of the routes when we glanced out over the corn. Not hard. We were told it takes 35-45 min to go through from start to finish. We started and finished the maze (came out the exit) in 10 min. read more

I gave it an extra star cause we had a really good time last year. Granted last year it didn't rain as much last year. This year VS last year!! This year - it was so muddy!! Last year - no mud. ANd the mud made it a really bad time. Last year we went on they hay ride, this year too much mud to get to the hay ride. Last year the kids went on the keg cow ride, they loved it and begged to do it again. This year even the drive operator seemed sad. There was so much mud it kicked up on the kids. Last year the kids climbed and played around on the haystack pile; this year it was so soggy that we used it to wipe the mud of our shoes and stroller. The play corn pit was fun, just like last year. They had two face painters for extra cash. They had several piglets for pig races and it was long and annoying to wait for. Just like last year, but this year less pigs. This year that had the smelliest petting zoo. Complete with a llama, but it reeked. They had a zip line, nobody seemed interested in. Last year that had this neat giant snake bounce/scare house. They had three kids size bouncers vs last years six. This year they were coved in mud!! All the pumpkins were soaked. Last year we stayed two hours, this year we stayed 25 mins. This place used to be so nice a few years ago but it went downhill. It obviously hasn't been updated or remodeled in years and a lot of the games were out of order. It was also very dirty. I've brought my kids (3 and 5) to this dump several times since my first child was about 2. I keep hoping each time that they will have cleaned it up and fixed the items in disrepair. No such luck. This place is as ghetto as they come. My kids usually play in the "Exploration Adventure" feature which requires them to remove their shoes. I have to remove mine also. It is filthy and I literally shudder if my kids say they have to use the bathroom. The bathroom in this area is never clean and you frequently need to watch where you step in your sock feet. UGHHH!! There are not enough balls in the so-called ball pits. The whole climbing apparatus is in disrepair. The big kids steamroll the little ones (even when the little ones on in the little area assigned to them). There are no staff watching the kids and a lot of times the parents are nowhere to be found. The last time we were there, kids were climbing on the outside of the apparatus - clearly very dangerous - and no one said anything. I hightailed it out of there as quickly as my kids would let me and haven't returned since. It's very disappointing because if they kept up the equipment and kept it clean, this could be quite the little gem; however, the fact that the ghetto faction supports this place by continuing to return and spend money there means it doesn't have to change! :) read more

I couldn't put 0 stars if I could I would have. For starters, it is so disgusting. The bathrooms are all out of soap, and have not been changed in a LONG time. It is soooooo outdated and leaves us with not many choices of other activities because they are either all broken or out of order. Food wise, the service is AWFUL there was only like 2 other people in the cafeteria and they took 30 minutes to make a pretzel that was ALREADY MADE!! Speaking of that pretzel, my son got food poisoning and spent hours on the toilet. Couple months later he's still there. Another thing, the playplace where u climb is soo old and rickety that you honestly feel like you're going to fall through. All in all very bad experience and will never go there again unless changes are made and needs are met. read more

Odyssey fun world is excellent. As a teacher, I love taking groups of students on a field trip. I have taken 7th and 8th graders several times and they loved it. As a Mom, I take my 3 year old. There are so many fabulous things to do for all ages. The staff has always been so helpful, polite, and courteous. The building and grounds are well maintained. Everything is always so clean. This summer we have attended the character nights. We have met almost all of the Chicago mascots and had a blast! read more

We went to Oddessy Fun World on May 6th with my 2 kids and 2 nieces. We spent over $100 on wristbands for them and in 2 hours only went on 2 rides!!! The gokarts was over an hour wait and they were only running 6 karts at a time. If we wanted to add arcade games, it would have been $20 more. The staff wasn't friendly, the lines were ridiculous, and we won't be coming back. What a waste of money. read more

Oddessey fun world is no longer what it used to be when I was little! Megan the manager on duty at the Tinley park location could not do anything to accommodate my request! Their prices are ridiculous and makes no sense! They were trying to charge me for all the outside activities but my twin 2 year olds could only do the inflatables..I was told by an employee that I could just opt to pay for that but then the manager said no they changed it and I have to pay for the whole package which my kids were too small! Also the place is dirty and it stinks! The balls look as if they have never ever been cleaned. It is unsanitary. I will add pictures to show! I took my daughter to this place a few weeks ago for her friends birthday party. One word: YUCK! Where to start? First of all, to greet patrons at the entrance was a bucket on the floor to catch the water dripping from the ceiling. By the time that we left this dump, there were two buckets on the floor at the entrance. A new welcoming mat? Next, while waiting for my daughter to ride the indoor coaster, I looked over my left shoulder to notice a clear shot straight into the men's restroom. While no stalls could be seen, the sinks were visible. YUCK! That's just tacky. Venturing into the bathroom, the sinks were not commercial/business fixtures. Matter of fact, they were not uniform and resembled closely to the sink I had when, as a college student, I lived in a studio apartment. Very cheap! Given the issue with the ceiling, I wonder how often the sinks/plumbing breaks down, especially with the amount of people this place attracts. YUCK! Turning a little bit further to my left, I spotted a pole with exposed wiring. While a little too high for children to reach, it could easily have been touched by an adult reaching up. I did not check to see if the wires were live. The games? Well, they do have the classics: Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. (Ms. Pac-man is on full throttle at a breakneck speed that no small child--or many adults--could maneuver.) Which brings up the point: What is the target age for this dump? It's hard to tell for sure. But hearing Poison's "I Want Action Tonight" is a bit of an indication that small youngsters shouldn't be here. But the kiddie Ferris wheel says otherwise. Now for the party room: YIKES! What kind of birthday service do parents' pay for? None! Usually the birthday party employee actually helps. Not at this joint. The parents did the work of serving the children pizza and cake and keeping order. Oh, the pizza was pretty good, I must say. Now here's the pathetic part: Take a step outside the birthday room and you immediately are in a cattle room where there are tons of tables lined up to watch a broke-down version of the Chuck E. Cheese character show. LITERALLY! Odyssey World must have purchased the old, used characters from Chuck E. Cheese and placed them on stage here. And they did not bother to fix the characters! YIKES! One character's head limped to the side because it was broken. Pathetic! These characters hardly had any movement at all, and here you have one of them with a broken neck, performing in front of a throng of patrons. Disney World this is NOT! The games? Plentiful and dirty. The workers? Sad. The crowd? Large! The noise level? Booming to the point of deafening! STAY FAR AWAY! Well the manager who calls himself the owner frequently trolls yelp flagging negative reviews so be sure to check out the 45 filtered reviews. Since I am a frequent yelper he was unable to hide my review but instead had it taken down because I mentioned his full name. With all the time and energy he puts into silencing unsatisfied customers he could take a business class learn how to treat customers and work on fixing that run down facility. Here is my review sans the most unprofessional person I've ever met's full name. I am appalled at how unprofessional the staff is here. I called and spoke with the general manager (name removed). I have never been so shocked in all my life he cut me off and swore repeatedly at me. I thought this cannot be the behavior of a person in charge. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he told me "I am in charge! I am in charge of both locations! How do you like that?" I was so taken aback I could barely speak I asked for his last name so when I could find the owner I could report him and he slammed the phone down on me! I must admit that I am a bit of a snob when it comes to redemption gaming. I was a Disney Quest employee in the late 90's for a number of years and due to this reason I have high expectations for such environments. Let me start by saying that walking into this kind of environment does something to your senses. The sounds, smells, and bright lights everywhere bring me back to a special place. We had gone to Odyssey as an outing for my nephew who lives out of town and wanted to play miniature golf. We spent a good ten minutes waiting for someone to give us our balls and clubs. The person came in and said that the batting cages had issues. She politely took our tickets and gave us what we needed and we were on our way. The weather had other plans because the minute we stepped onto the green the black clouds rolled in and we were heading back indoors. Luckily for us at an establishment that doesn't typically refund for the weather the associate who made us wait was kind enough to tell us to go in and talk to someone in the booth to trade what we spent on our tickets to golf for tokens. For her efforts in that area I give that associate 5-stars. Redemption gaming is not that simple and there are a few games that one needs to walk by before attempting to win tickets. I love my old favorite skee-ball and played a few rounds of that astonishing my family with my ability to get 100's three times in a row. On the surface it looked clean...then we went into the bathrooms. One would think that an establishment such as Odyssey Fun World with such high quantities of traffic would have a more well kept and up-to-date bathroom. No joke, I've been to gas stations with cleaner bathrooms! Toilets are leaking. Soap dispensers don't work. There is water on the ground which is a huge liability on them if someone gets hurt and falls. It's gross and it needs to be fixed. After I stepped out of the bathroom looked at Odyssey with new eyes. I noticed that the roof was leaking in places and that there were buckets strategically placed near the entrance. I noticed paint chipping on the walls and wall paper peeling. I even noticed broken games that were still being used with no broken signs on them. People would merely walk away from the game with a shrug and think they didn't play the game right. I know better than that. I don't even care that they only had two working ticket munchers when they should've had five or that there was only one person working the entire redemption floor when there shouldn't been three. Poor kid is trying to be at two sides of the building and on the second floor at the same time and it is ridiculous! My point is that families are willing to pay the prices at Odyssey for a quality family experience, and just because we are in a recession doesn't mean that upkeep should be cast to the wayside. What a horrible experience!!!!!! We bought the Groupon for 6 for the Zombie Hayride and Corn Maze and decided to go on 10/6. I called to inquire about wait times and they said 30-45 minutes which was within reason. We got there and there was a 2 hour wait....We got in line, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Before we knew it it had been nearly 2.5 hours and it we still had at least an hour wait. Some people in front of us had been in line for a good 3 hours. It turns out, they had only two hay rides running every 15 minutes with hundreds of people in line. I've never waited that long in a line at Great America. The staff kept saying "well, it's only the second night and we're working out the kinks." I'm sorry but when you put something like this on Groupon and see how many sold, you should be better prepared or limit the number of tickets available per night. I realize they are trying to make money but you can only accommodate so many people. 20 people per hay ride for a 15 minute ride= 80 tickets/per hour it runs from 7pm-12am so a cap should be set at about 400 tickets a night (maybe 500 for some extra leverage). This is not the fault of the on site staff but the responsibility of the owner. Four of our group decided to give up after 2 hours because my 8 year-old nephew was freezing (we all were despite being very well bundled). Sooo many people left because they were tired of waiting. No 15 minute hay ride is worth 3+ hours of waiting, the funny thing is even though people were leaving, the line still didn't move. My boyfriend and I gave up after 2.5 hours. We complained and were told there are absolutely no refunds for any reason, they told us to come back on another night, or they could talk to the manager and maybe exchange the value of our tickets for pumpkins or the zipline. I'm sure Odyssey Fun Farm made a killing, but in turn pissed off a lot of customers like myself that will NEVER be back. The only reason I gave 1 star is that the on site staff were nice and tried to accommodate us despite the situation being out of their hands and Groupon refunded my purchase after I called to complain. read more

Dude people complain but it's a decent place with activities for kids. There's plenty to do and very fair prices my kid always has fun that's all that matters. read more
