Entrance - it looks small from the outside but it's massive inside!

We love Odyssey Games! My son is a huge MTG fan/player so I always stop by anytime I'm shopping for gifts for him or if I'm looking for unique board game ideas for the fam. I'm always so impressed by how massive the store is - you wouldn't know it from the outside. They have tons of selection of games and accessories, as well as figurine kits and tools/paint etc. They have a large section of Warhammer items (another of my son's faves). They have a lot of MTG packs and a decent sized case of specialty MTG cards as well as a "dollar binder" of other select MTG cards that my son loved browsing through. And I just love the way the store is decorated - it's such a vibe!! Total fantasy immersion to get you in the gaming mood. They have a massive play area in the back where you can privately game with your own group - or attend one of their many events or tournaments. There's a calendar up on the wall near the play area that lists the current month's events - there's always something fun going on! Staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. Prices are decent for the area - pretty much as you'd expect. Parking is free - there's a (very) small/tight lot behind the store but lots of free street parking in the surrounding area and it's very walkable and handicap accessible.

I was introduced to the Flip 7 card game through an event. It was so much fun. I had to return to Odyssey Games (OG) in Pasadena and buy the game. I was lucky to get a parking spot in the back of this shop. It was good for 30 minutes only. That was plenty of time for me. Otherwise, there are street parking on Allen Ave. Please do read the street signs. Besides Flip 7, I also wanted to buy Patchwork, but they didn't have it. Staff was friendly, nice, and helpful. I quickly paid for the Flip 7 game @ $9.99. Price wasn't too bad compared to online stores. It may have been $1 or $2 difference. I rather support physical businesses that are inspiring fun for all. OG is a two story building. Downstairs is where all the games and other merchandises are located for purchase. Upstairs is primarily the gaming area where all the fun takes place. I highly recommend this place if you're crazy about board games and more. It's a great spot to meet new people and create connections. Thank you OG for bringing the OG fun!!

I had an absolute amazing time here. The place looks very small from outside, but it's super huge on the inside with two stories a large space for you and your friends to play games. Plenty of parking outside. The customer service is amazing. The selection of games is outstanding in the value was great.

Never knew this store was here till I went for a Yelp event with some friends. Great place with lots of space. My nephew is BIG into Warhammer which is hard to find, but they have it here so I will be brining him back for sure!

Was looking for board games that they don't normally sell at the regular stores like Target, Walmart and even Amazon.

As a middle-aged father looking for a hobby we could share that didn't involve screens or video games, I'd read a bit about Gunpla and decided to give it a shot. What a find! The owner was incredibly helpful and patient with us, taking the time to understand what we were looking for and guiding us to first sets that were perfect for our skill levels. His enthusiasm was genuine, and it made the whole experience fun and welcoming, never overwhelming for complete beginners like us. The prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus when you're testing out a new hobby with your kid. We both walked out with our own kits, and I have to say, I'm just as hooked as my son! Building these models has been a surprisingly relaxing and rewarding experience, and I'm already looking forward to tackling more complex builds and refining them. I'm planning to return soon to pick up a few more sets for Christmas gifts and to expand my own collection. If you're looking for a screen-free activity to share with your children or just want to explore the world of Gunpla, I highly recommend stopping by this shop. The passion and knowledge of the owner really make all the difference.

This is for the Hobby lobby location located in Pasadena. There aren't too many other locations…read morenearby so this is the place to go if you're looking for a store for crafts and other items. They're a lot more Michaels stores and this might be the first integration of Hobby lobby here in this area. I know there is one out in West Covina, and that might be the next closest location, but that's still quite a distance away. Everything is very well organized here. It does feel a little bit dated inside, even though this is a newer store. I can't remember if they took over a mervyns or Sears or something but everything is very well organized, and very easy to find where things are. The checkout process is a little bit of a bottleneck. Maybe it's not easier to do self check out kiosks otherwise they would've done it already. On the way out, there was a lady that was upset because the registers are staggered in a specific way, and she either overshot it and I didn't understand the flow of things so she was upset about how she wasn't able to check out yet The immediate area right outside Hobby lobby is a little bit chaotic. A lot of cars and lots of people are trying to park here so sometimes the directional flow things proves to be a little bit challenging for people. It is a bit hectic so don't drive too fast.

Went to have a painting framed, that I've had since the 90's…read more It was done by a family member and I am quite fond of it. A pretty good reproduction of an original Gauguin that happens to be in a nearby Pasadena art museum. Well, we paid a visit to Hobby Lobby, as we were picking up some things from nearby Whole Foods. The store occupies Sear's old location on Foothill. It's a huge place and designed to get you to walk around for things as signage isn't plentiful or helpful. Shelves are high so unless you are very tall you need to search around, guess they took that cue from Costco, it works if you aren't in a hurry. We were happy to find they had a framing department and also a fabric area, which, since the sad closing of JoAnne's, I was glad to see for the ghost of my mother who enjoyed sewing. I'm focusing on the Framing department and the friendly efficient gentleman in charge of that department, his name is Theo. He was helpful and friendly from the start. Their framing prices are posted as 50% off, which sounded great, but I guess the original prices need to be considered before seeing this as a good deal. Well, we checked on one style which had always been our original style we felt appropriate for this art work. We visited Tahiti a couple of years ago and and saw some Gaugain copies framed in a similar style, it works very well, so we inquired as to cost and estimated the size as we didn't have the painting with us. It was very reasonable compared to the frame shops we have checked over the decades, yes, decades! It was a very fair price, not knowing the quality of the work was something to consider, but Theo was very efficient and knew his products and was very meticulous. We could tell we were in very good hands. We were quoted, less the 50%, a little under $100 before tax. A very fair price. We were given a "finish by date", and 5 days before that date I gave a call to check on status, I was told it would be done in a couple of days. I was surprised and happy to receive a message later that day from Theo that our framing job was finished and available for pick up. We got over there that evening and Though Theo was gone then, a nice young lady got our finished product for us. It looked very nice. She walked us and the painting up to the lone cashier, as that is their policy, and we waited in line to pay. They did open another register as the line was about 6 people deep. I'm not going to get into their company politics, but over all it was a positive experience, especially thanks to Theo and his friendly, knowledgeable service and framing skill. Thanks Theo!
