Great amazing service, great food, everything is clean nice and quiet inside the restaurant. Not much more to be said I ordered the OC burger with scrambled eggs and waffle fries to go.

The menu is quite simple. I can't say it was tasty for me. One positive thing I can mention is that it was clean.

Review Template === 1. VERDICT/VALUE Victoria has a lot of breakfast/brunch places to choose from; if you're looking for good food, friendly service, a clean/modern atmosphere and reasonable prices - OEB should be at the top of your list! My humble opinion: - OEB beats everyone on creative plate names :) - Blue Fox wins on food quality - OEB wins on space and atmosphere. - OEB, Jam, Shine, and Blue Fox are about equal for service. === 2. FOOD Double Trouble Crostini ($19): Bacon, cheese, and two eggs your way on crostini topped with greens (arugula primarily) - it's as easy and healthy as it sounds! Belgian Waffle ($15): Depending how you like your waffles - the one made here was crispy to the point of almost being like a crunchy cookie...? My tastebuds lean towards how Blue Fox and Shine make theirs... Scrambled Crepe ($18.50): Eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, and spinach - it looks small but packs a healthy punch! Coffee is $4; kids' ("Future Foodies" as they are known here) drinks are $2.50. The One That Did Not Get Away ($23): An eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and spinach - yum! Pitter Pancake (for kids - $11 incl. drink) Two smaller pancakes served with butter and maple syrup - nice and fluffy - nice for the little ones! Chasing Chickens Poutine ($19.75): This goodness: two packed eggs atop cheese curds, herb potatoes (half of which you can change for arugula), smoked chicken, all covered in brown butter hollandaise sauce - my heart loved it until it stopped beating. === 3. SERVICE Service has always been great - we seem to get Mari a fair amount and recommend her to everyone! Without a reservation on busy Sundays, we were also accommodated in short order thanks to their flexibility. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It is modern, open air-ish and with a lot of space - better than all other brunch places in town. Sure, it's packed but it's popular for a reason. Bring groups big and small with ease - wheelchairs and baby strollers are welcome too! Parking is the only drawback - you're hunting for paid street parking or a parking garage if you're coming to OEB!

Got a threesome breakfast. Tasty combination. Ended up getting a side of toast to help wrap up the eggs. Maybe over well might have been better. Staff are friendly and helpful and keep an eye out for you. I got slotted into a two hander but it hit a little busy. Good choice for grabbing breakfast.

Delicious breakfast/brunch spot in Victoria! Made a reservation for my family and I and our expectations were exceeded. We received excellent service and every dish was served at the exact same time! Pretty hard to accomplish with our larger group of 12 but they nailed it. The food was spectacular. So fresh and flavorful with great creativity. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or brunch!

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

There was an interesting smell at the entrance when we first walked in, but luckily we were seated in the back room. As recommended, we ordered family style to try a variety of dishes. Endive salad - can't really go wrong with the classic combination of apple walnut and goat cheese, however many larger pieces of endive were quite bitter. tater tots - nice presentation with the cubes. The tots were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Paired well with the jalapeño ranch, and the lumpfish caviar was a fun addition. Beef tartare- the beef was fresh and flavor was good overall. However the toast was only cut in half, made it hard to eat or cut into. Middle of the toast also got a little too soft from the juice. Fried chicken - solid fried chicken, the meat is tender and well seasoned, crispy on the outside. The semolina cube didn't add much for me, but the 3 hot sauce added a nice balance of heat and acidity. Ling cod - The fish was tender and cooked well. Surprisingly, the cabbage really stood out. Service was a bit slow, we had to flag down our server for refills. Overall we enjoyed our meal, every dish was well prepared, but nothing truly stood out as memorable. We did appreciate it being farm-to-table, and the commitment to source ingredients locally.

We made a reservation ahead of time and they were still quite busy until about 9:45pm. We ordered a variety of dishes family style, which is the right move. Service for our table was honestly a bit slow; we had to flag down someone for a refill multiple times. The interior smelled a bit funny near the entrance but luckily we got sat down into the back room. The interior was a very dark, date night vibe. Endive 3/5. Not the biggest fan of the salad; they also picked some larger leaves of endive which made it bitter. It was a very light dish with the goat cheese, walnut, and apple. Tater tots 4/5. Fried potato hash brown cubes paired with a ranch sauce with lumpfish caviar. Decent dish, we enjoyed it but it could've used some acidity. Beef tartare 3.5/5. Solid tartare but the bread needed to be cut into more bite sized pieces and this style of bread also ended up soaking up a lot of the raw meat juices. Ling cod 4.5/5. The fish was tender and cooked well. The best item on this dish was the cabbage, which was very well seasoned. Fried chicken 4/5. Solid fried chicken paired with semolina cubes. Overall we enjoyed the meal. Not every dish was a hit but the farm to table concept is much appreciated for being in Victoria BC and sourcing meats and produce from nearby or in Abbotsford.

The main of the flat iron with arugala on the top with fries. They plated it and served it with a slug in it. The slug fell from inside the salad onto the plate . A baby slug. But it was living and moving. What followed was poor response and gaslighting of which this restaurant should be ashamed. In order not to disgust the others I stopped a woman that was working the floor to remove the plate. When I pointed to the slug why gave a small chuckle and half smile and stated, "well, it is farm to table." That is gaslighting. Right there that was a poor response. I see signs saying Michelin on this restaurant, but really...if you had served a slug to a someone rating you for a Michelin, you think you would get that rating? Highly doubtful. That should never have been served. Yes the restaurant cooked another meal which took longer. They cooked it just fine too....however their lackluster and empty words of well we do say it's farm to table doesn't replace an apology or an assurance of we will do better.

It felt very rushed despite there not being many other customers in the area. We were only in the restaurant for about 45 minutes today. The food was mediocre. I had the fried chicken and waffles, which looked good but tasted generic. The fried chicken was a bit dry and just tasted like it was seasoned with salt and pepper and that's about it. The waffle tasted like something anyone could make at home. My friend had the Caesar salad, which was drenched in sauce but otherwise looked alright. Overall, the food is on the pricier side, relative to the portion size being served. Expect to spend at least $30 to be full, not including drinks and dessert.
