The experience was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. My daughter and I recently visited this head spa for the first time, and we had such an amazing experience!! We decided to make it a mother-daughter outing, and it exceeded our expectations. My daughter is 10 years old and definitely more of a tomboy, so I wasn't sure how she would feel about being pampered. To my surprise, she absolutely loved it. The staff went out of their way to make her feel comfortable, constantly checking in with her and asking questions to make sure everything felt okay. They were incredibly kind and patient, and by the end of the appointment she told me she wanted to come back because everyone was so nice. As for me, my hair has never felt so soft in my life!! The scalp treatment was incredible, and I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing two of their scalp toners. I've been using them daily ever since. This place is truly a hidden gem in Mission Viejo. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is wonderful, and the experience was unforgettable for both of us. We had a great experience during our couples scalp spa treatment. It was my first time having herbal treatments and it definitely felt very cleansing and nourishing. The staff were very kind and detailed with every step of the spa. The interior design is beautiful, essential oils smelled amazing and music was relaxing. We got to choose an essential oil to use during the spa. The scalp massage had great pressure and water temperature was perfect and my hair was so soft after the treatments . booked a head spa appointment at Off & Relax in Mission Viejo and it was honestly such a good experience from start to finish. They began with a close up scalp analysis and explained exactly what was going on instead of just guessing. My scalp was really dry and tight, and they walked me through why that was happening and how they were going to treat it. What I loved most is that it wasn't a one size fits all service. They created a curated plan specifically for my scalp and focused heavily on hydration. You could actually feel the difference as they layered in moisture and did the massage and water therapy. It felt relaxing but also very intentional and results driven. By the end my scalp felt calm, refreshed, and so much less tight. Even my hair felt softer at the roots. If you struggle with dryness, flakes, or irritation, I definitely recommend giving them a try. It feels like self care but with real scalp science behind it. read more

Wow! This place is amazing. It was soo relaxing right when I entered, I was greeted and offered to smell and pick a scent for my spa treatment. It was me and my boyfriends valentines gift to each other. I really have long hair and I enjoyed taking care of my scalp. The customer service is 10/10. Top notch! They made us feel welcomed, relax and took care of us really well. We fell asleep from the massages, head spa treatments. Since my hair was really long I went a day after lunar new year which means I couldn't wash my hair the night before. I washed it the morning I went to the spa and still got build up. I was able to see the difference of before and after. My scalp was squeaky clean and healthier. It felt so nice, zen and super relaxing. We were offered tea and got a gift as well. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was serene, clean, and incredibly relaxing -- exactly what you'd want from a true scalp spa experience. They're currently offering a grand opening special ($30 off your first scalp spa session and 20% off when you buy 2 or more hair care products), which made it the perfect time to try them out. What really sets Off&Relax apart from the other scalp spas I've been to (and I've been to more than a few!) is their focus on truly personalized scalp care. Before the treatment, they performed a detailed scalp analysis to understand my specific concerns -- dryness and sensitivity -- and then tailored the entire session around that. I brought my mom here for her birthday and we had a wonderful experience we booked it last minute and we were paired with the amazing Lilli she made sure we had an amazing treatment and amazing time relaxing. It stated with an analysis of your scalp and she goes over what you should do and we did the 45 min package with hair dry at the end. Really recommend it is a brand new place and everything was so nice, we were given robes to wear while getting our hair dried and made feel super special. 10/10! read more

Yesterday, I had the most relaxing and exhilarating experience ever! Shoutout to Tina for a phenomenal job on my scalp treatment! First time at this place. I tried the Anti-aging scalp treatment, and let me tell you that it did not disappoint! Starting off by picking out an aromatherapy oil, I was drawn to Ylang Ylang scent! Very soft and pretty. This treatment was a 2 hour treatment, what I considered calling it "The Works". Started with a back massage, followed by a facial, and for the grand finale, the scalp treatment! What a very spacious environment! The massages were amazing! EVERYTHING about it, it totally relaxed me! I LOVED every minute of it! What a tranquil environment!!! Even though, it was pricey! My mom and I booked massages and got there early so we could enjoy the amenities and get into a relaxed headspace before our scheduled massages. Unfortunately, we found it nearly impossible to decompress due to ongoing conversations throughout these spaces. From discussions about kids' sports practices in the jacuzzi to work-related chatter in the sauna, we could hear it everywhere, even back in the locker area. There are signs asking people to keep quiet in these spaces, so while some guests were using "spa voices" any constant conversation disrupted the peaceful atmosphere when we were trying to rest and decompress. It would've been nice if employees working the area could enforce quiet conduct, because clearly the signage alone wasn't cutting it. We basically gave up on unwinding before our massages, which was disappointing since that's half the reason we came early. The massage itself was relaxing and the therapists were wonderful, but the spa experience was not it. I was also disappointed that as we were paying for our services at the end, not a single employee asked how our experience was. I wouldn't be writing this otherwise had someone cared to ask how we enjoyed it. If you're just coming for a treatment and heading straight out, you'll probably love it. (Perhaps try going on a weekday so it's less busy where you can avoid the unending chatter.) But if you're hoping to actually use the amenities as the peaceful escape they're supposed to be, hopefully you have a better experience than we did.

You get a time limit of 6 hours, which is way more than enough. At my appointment time, the workers, who are dressed in black bras and panties, call out your number (which is also your locker key number) and you head to the service area. The woman scrubbed off my dead skin for 30 minutes while applying a quick 5 minute facial mask, then had me shower off and come back. Next, she applied oil all over my body and gave me a mini massage which basically just loosened a few of my knots in my shoulder and back area. It was not really relaxing, but I only care about the results. :) Then she poured some type of warm milk all over my body, and poured some into my hand to wash my face with. She also shampooed my hair at the end... and I was asked to shower off my body again. I then headed to the common area where the co-ed saunas were and tried out the Salt room, the Forest room, Ondol room, Fire Room, and Ice Room for a short period. I spent a total of about 3 hours there with the service time included. Since I was short on time, I will get another service in the future, but come earlier to use the sauna rooms first, maybe try out their on-site restaurant, then get my service at the end and go home from there. I really enjoyed this day of pampering at the Korean spa. I just wished the guests weren't all on their phones and being loud. People were having full on conversations in the common area and whispering loudly in the sauna rooms. They have raised their admission prices several times in the last 2 years. Upon arrival, I was contemplating on getting a massage or not and decided not to and instead just used my pre-purchased admission ticket. I would say the best thing here is their dining area. They have a good selection of Korean food and drinks including smoothies, juices, and even boba. I usually get their almond milk tea. My favorite food choices would be the tofu soup with seafood only (yes, you can ask for no beef) or the burnt bibimbap bowl with all the veggies and yes, you can also ask for a fully cooked egg instead of a Sunnyside up if you don't like runny eggs. My meal with a drink usually comes out to $26. The reason why I am lowering my rating is because their standing shower area stinks. For the last couple of times I've been here, that area smells either like mold or a sewer issue. Secondly, I witnessed one of their shower massage employees (they wear black tops and bottoms) use the restroom and left without washing her hands. Yes, she is a masseuse who doesn't wash her hands after using the toilet. I would never book any type of massage here based on that fact alone. One more thing, i also saw 2 women get into an argument. I was in a dry sauna room with 2 other females already there. One female came in and confronted someone else who was trying to relax for not picking up her towels in the other room. The lady who got confronted acted like she didn't speak English so the argument was brief. However, the lady who did the confronting called her a stupidass before walking away. LOL I'm laughing about it now but honestly it is suppose to be relaxing environment and chasing someone down over towels when you don't even work here is a bit much. Not very relaxing. I have 2 admission tickets left to use but after that I most likely won't be purchasing a packet again. This place doesn't have a luxury feel to it like it used to.
