We were excited to go to this activity, but on Google, where it shows third party website, a website called HelloTickets/Tiqets appeared that showed 5 rolls for $62. Now that sounded a little bit too good to be true, so I sent them a email to confirm, in which they told me that everything is good and that they work with them. What I didn't expect is what happened next. We drove a few hours from Nashville, excited to do this activity, as we got there, we were told we are only getting 1 roll. We were confused and manager tried to offer us a solution of giving us 2 rolls instead of 1. We paid $60, I mean OF COURSE we should be getting 2 rolls for $60. They tried to say it wasn't their problem, and then stuff went down when the Owner of the park came yelling at us why we are taking so long and absolutely screaming at us (not letting us explain or show proof), saying to get the f out of his property and he will call the cops, he's the owner, and we are a waste of times, and much much more. It was unbelievable. He made my friend cry on her birthday, and honestly, I really hope people don't support a business like this just based off how the owner handled it. I own many businesses and in a situation like this, it's a super simple resolution, it won't "hurt" you or even "cost" you to just to give the customer what they paid for and deal with the third party vendor. Please, they don't deserve the business.

The place fills up quickly, and initially, we were told there was no room available. However, a helpful gentleman came to our rescue and managed to fit us in, for which I was incredibly grateful. The kids had an absolute blast and enjoyed every moment. My only recommendation is to double-check their availability each day if you're using a Groupon, as walk-ins may not always be accommodated. Aside from that, the staff was fantastic, and the overall experience was amazing! Highly recommend!

We parked across the street in their free parking area, which had plenty of available spots at that hour. The walk over was less than a mile and very manageable. Although the weather wasn't ideal--light rain and chilly temperatures--it didn't take away from the experience. We started by walking around and taking everything in. There are so many cute shops, unique stores, and plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the area. We did a little shopping, sampled some food, and purchased tickets to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, which was a highlight. Before heading out, we made one last stop at Ole Smoky Moonshine, which is always a fun experience. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, we still had a great time and really enjoyed our visit. The Island has a fun, lively atmosphere and offers something for everyone--we'd definitely go back!

With that being said, we found it a bit of a tourist trap and pricey, but that was to be expected for the area and kind of place this is. There are tons of alcohol tasting places and food places through out here. We did do a stop and tasting at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, which was unique enough since I am from the west coast visiting, and fun. I still think if you want more authentic tastings and food, to go to downtown Gatlinburg instead (it's all similar enough though). We also did a wine tasting here and all the wines were so sweet for my palette. I did enjoy the shops and pursuing around this beautiful area. A great spot to get some steps in. Many places also offer free samples of food to (like the candy store) so don't be afraid to go in and try.

Fast forward to 2026 and it was my first time coming out to Pigeon Forge to check out Dollywood as I was in town to participate in the inaugural Run Dollywood Half Marathon. Although I had a 2-day park ticket, I needed to save my legs for the race. Parking was $25, but thankfully, it was free for race participants and spectators. For both days, I didn't stay very long. It was raining the first day, so I mostly walked around to check everything out. It wasn't too large, but a decent size. Over the 2 days, I did go on 2 rides: Lightning Rod and Blazing Fury. The Lightning Rod was a pretty thrilling ride. They really do have you strapped in tight! The Blazing Fury was entirely indoors, kind of weird, and much more tame in comparison. Some other rides that I saw were Demolition Derby, Lemon Twist which was their version of Disney's Mad Tea Party, and The Amazing Flying Elephants which was their version of Disney's Dumbo. They had quite a few more rides. It was a good mixture of rides for the little ones as well as for the older thrill seekers. While they had a lot of fair type foods at various locations, I only made sure to visit the Grist Mill to try their famous cinnamon bread. I don't have much of a sweet tooth and I thought it was indeed worth it and lived up to the hype!
