This is an update. In the 7 years since my last review this place has only gotten better. Now that I've tried more items ( love the green tomato Benedict and the sandwich )among other things. The customer service is beyond good. I ordered the carrot raisin slaw and they were between batches. I was going to choose another side when the waitress came out with some made especially for me. Service is fast and friendly. The food was cooked fresh and tasted good. The waitresses work as a team to help serve you faster. The Philly cheese or the Aydens All American omelet jumped at me and I was going to order. I asked for light on the cheese sauce and it was hearty and flavorful. My husband got the western omelet with hash browns and he enjoyed the filling breakfast. My daughter got a kids French toast and had chocolate milk and bacon as her side and I was pleased with the portion sizes. I had food to take home and the prices were great. Consistently, great food,great portions, great service,and reasonable pricing for the fifteen years I've ve been dining here. It definitely reminds me of a diner up north,but, with a little more of a homey feeling. The staff definitely helps makes you feel that way. You can't go wrong with breakfast. Went here for breakfast with a friend and was blown away by how homey it felt! I ordered an omelet and substituted the toast for biscuits and by golly am I glad I did. The biscuits were fresh and warm and absolutely delectible. The omelet was perfect and the service was great. All the workers were super sweet and helpful and made you feel at home. Decided to pass time here while my car was across the street at tires plus. I got the wham bam slam. 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon and 2 eggs. Definitely a good value for the price. I did add chocolate chips and it was I think almost $3 more for the chocolate chips. Not sure if that's worth it. The pancakes were good but they kinda just dumped the chocolate chips in the middle of the pancakes and not throughout. Then they put a handful on top. They would be much better if more of the pancakes had chocolate chips throughout. Other than that everything was great. They have real coffee creamer not that coffemate stuff. The waitress was nice. I did forget my punch card so they punched a new one. The lady at checkout says you can use them together. It does seem to get busy. By the time I left there was a wait. read more

Another spot I go to only if I wake up early enough to get there before the crowds. Good, reliable breakfast/diner-type food. Great portions and service is pretty reliable with that family-owned establishment vibe where you can tell the servers have been there a while, and they like it just fine. I've only been for breakfast, and I love sitting outside on the sidewalk. The inside dining room is a bit awkward in its layout, and it can get loud. Pretty much anything you order on the massive breakfast menu will be prepared well, and quickly and it will taste good. Nothing is really gonna knock your socks off here. But I do love the biscuits and gravy. They give great big portions, too. On the weekend, make sure to beat the crowds by arriving super early. read more

Food was well below average after waiting for over 35 minutes for a small order of biscuits and gravy, sliced tomatoes, and a double meat combo with sunny side up eggs. The biscuits with the biscuits and gravy were as hard as a hockey puck, the biscuits with the combo were not cooked all the way through. The sausage gravy was tasteless and extremely thick. The hash browns were barely warm to the touch. If it weren't bad enough that the food was sub par, the majority of the staff was rude and uninviting. One the ladies at the front rolled her eyes at another customer. We will never be back. read more

This place always seems busy so we've been wanting to try it for a while. We went for brunch and were able to get seated. The food is pretty cheap and comes in pretty large portions. "We took a chance!" - Visited last Sunday - I think we were in Okeechobee - Because that what I heard her say when they were answering the phones. Place was filled with some "Serious Eaters" - an Eclectic Crowd! - Please was hoping busy and so we decided to sit out the counter - which was surprisingly comfortably. Waitress Girls are incredibly "Sassy" - Polite and Friendly and they sure as heck get your order write the first time. Lot of noise coming from that kitchen, but I can sure tell you one thing - the food that was coming from that kitchen was simply delicious home style southern cooking. Short order of pancakes was amazing! Place is busy with is further testament to how high quality the food they are pumping out of this place. My local friend tells me that they have a number of locations. Andrea and I will be back to this one. Really enjoyed the great food and service! Coffee was delicious! Went here for breakfast on an early Sunday morning. We were able to get seats quockly outside. I had the corned beef has that came with two eggs. My bf had the pancakes which were the most fluffy I have experienced. My dad had eggs with silver dollar pancakes and orange juice. The coffee was good and the waitress was friendly and attentive until she brought the check and never came back to bring a box for left overs. The guy cleaning the table brought the box and took the payment. That was the only negative part of this experience. I would return to try other items. read more

This place opens at 7am which is what I like! Plenty of parking. I didn't realize but I drove around the corner and there is double the parking first seen. I had no complaints on the food quality for price nor the speed at which it arrived! Coffee was spot on with refills and we sat outside where many weren't seated. I love Pete's Place! Including the Greenacres location. The waitresses are always so sweet and accommodating, you can't beat the prices, and the food is great. My favorite is the crispy chicken wrap meal which I always get. Next time maybe I will try something new . The wait was a bit longer than expected this time but the food tasted great. My husband got a chicken Caesar salad that was so big he had leftovers. It's a cozy, homey, and intimate setting and wasn't too crowded. Based on all the good reviews, I thought for sure I would experience 5 star treatment or better. I asked the server for a coffee cup,it was dirty and she acted like I was bothering her. The food came out in very small portions. The turkey sausage had a foul taste. There was something on my food that I couldn't identify. The price I paid was not worth it. It was very good along with the Caesar salad with huge croutons. Interestingly, it was listed as Swazi. The waitress delivered it saying here is your a grouper. Fabulous place for a casual breakfast. Lots of parking area this plaza. Wait was about 20 min on a sat not bad! Staff is very friendly! Inside it's cute and there is seating outside also. I got a coffee and the biscuit and eggs breakfast, not too large so I was happy about that. One biscuit split in half covered with a sausage gravy with eggs (way you wanted) on the side and some home fries. All was delicious. Lots of stuff on the menu.
