Lyndsi quoted us $350 to clean our house. It was somewhat vacant at the time as we were just moving in. Unfortunately, I was working so was unable to be there however my husband was there. These people are a joke. They take numerous phone and cigarette breaks. She complained to me on the phone that our house was too big and there was a lot to clean. Uh, yes....this is why we hired you and your crew. She then stated it would be an additional $50. Even though the square footage of my home including details such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms and windows was discussed prior to the appointment being made. In any case, they did just an okay job of only the second floor, just okay. Windows and cost mirrors were not very clean. So Lyndsi and "her crew" were suppose to come by the next morning to complete the job which they were paid for in full, $400. I received a BS call in the morning from Lyndsi while I was at work that they were all in a car accident that morning. Lies, lies, lies. She probably realized there was still a lot to do and didn't want to finish it without more money. She continued to apologize which I did not accept. I ended up paying another $150 elsewhere to get my first floor cleaned. They did a better job with just a crew of two than Lyndsi's large crew. Back to paying Lyndsi in full....my husband decided to as she complained she had to pay her crew and she would be making no money herself off this job. That was a clear indicator that she had no plans to return to finish up the job. I would not have paid in full but since I was not there I had no control over that piece. When I saw all the positive reviews for this company I decided to call after having to stop the services with a company that I had been with for years. I spoke to Lindsey the middle of last week to arrange a time for her to come see my home and give me an estimate. I explained to her that I didn't want the whole house done, just my bathrooms and the main living areas. She asked me what I had paid the previous company and I had told her, but after I hung up I thought that was a really strange question to ask. Anyway, she said that the only time that she would be able to come out to see me would be on Sunday. I told her that would be fine and we agreed that she would come at 2:00PM. I gave her my address and my home number as well as my cell. Well, two o'clock came and went. I waited until about 2:30 and then called the only number I had for them. I got their voice mail and I left a message asking what happened and requesting a call back. Never heard a word from them. At the time I made the appointment I told Lindsey that the reason we stopped using the other company was because of the fact that they stopped coming on time and communicating with us. I don't mind if someone is going to be late as long as I am told so I can rearrange my schedule. For her to know this and to completely stand me up is inexcusable. In the message I left my name... twice... as well as my phone number... twice. I patiently waited for a return call and looked forward to engaging the services of a company so highly-rated on Yelp. That was two weeks ago. I never did get a return call. I called again today only to discover their voicemail is now full and no messages can be left. WTH???? I can only assume they paid other people to write glowing reviews because I notice that things have gone down hill very quickly in the past few weeks. Wow. I'm not one to prattle on and on via Yelp about any particular business, but after coming home tonight from work, I immediately took to my computer. The team at Off The Deep End will be my permanent go-to for apartment cleaning as long as they're in business. Why? I'll tell you: 1) They are exceptionally prompt. When a last minute work emergency of mine took place, they were able at the last minute to agree to arrive 30 minutes earlier than scheduled -- and they were still five minutes early with the new time. 2) I guarantee you'll feel as comfortable as I did leaving them alone in your home. The minute I met them I felt very at ease. And I came home to find doors locked as I requested. They're lovely, polite, professional and warm. 3) They are meticulous. Every corner, tile slab, appliance, faucet, cabinet, floor board and wood floor received equal, careful attention. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to find something wrong (sorry, force of habit), and I can safely say they cleaned every single solitary square inch of my apartment. 4) They are reasonably priced. For the amount of time they spent here, and for the labor they put into my place, they were an absolute steal. 5) They use green products. 6) They return phone calls promptly and politely. 7) In four years of living in my current residence, I've never, ever seen my place sparkle like it did when I came home from work. So you can stop looking for someone to clean your place. You've found a business that will go above and beyond, and for a bargain. I can't wait until next time! read more

My folks and I own a small place that we rent out. After four years, our (bachelor) tenant moved out and we needed to have it cleaned top to bottom. Our renter had been great, but there was a *lot* of cleaning to do. At first we had a missed appointment - something happened on their end and we needed to change the day. But waiting a couple more days to have the place cleaned this thoroughly was totally worth it! The place was empty when they came in, and they came with a crew of four, not just one or two people. I left them to it. I came back after a couple of hours to check in, and they were still going strong. I found Lyndsi cleaning the dust off of the top and crevices of the thermostat. (So when they say they detail the house, they're not kidding!) I needed to run some other errands, so paid them and left them to lock up when they were finished. I asked them to send me a text when they were done. They did that and I swung by later to see how everything looked. And the place looked *stunning*. I was super impressed. The place looked amazing, and showed beautifully to prospective new renters. Lyndsi charged me exactly what her estimate was, even though her crew stayed much longer than she had originally guessed. They got the job done top to bottom and were so friendly and pleasant in the process. Some of the lower star reviews below seem to include an experience where the first appointment was canceled because something came up on Off the Deep End's side. I think this is because it's a newer, small, personally run operation. I think they'll iron out those kinks. Our house was, sadly, a mess. A serious mess. We would pick at the mess when we could, but it was fighting a losing battle. My wife found Off The Deep End, we had them in and our house was just not the same afterwards, in the best possible ways. They were diligent, thourough, and at all times respectful and pleasant. They cleaned things I didn't even know existed, and left our house looking like a proper home. I can not say enough good things about these cleaners... they use their chemicals sparingly (so your place doesn't smell like cleansers afterwards) and substitute for it with a critical eye and elbow grease. No knick-knack was left un-dusted, no porcelain un-scrubbed, no corner de-cobwebbed. I'm a bit nervous about having people go through my things, but they actually made me feel confortable during the whole process. Then, after they were done, I was blown away. These guys did a great job! Before they started, Lyndsi and I did a walk-through of the house discussing the things that were important to me: baseboards, bathroom walls, nooks, crannies, all the stuff that's too fussy for me to do during a regular cleaning day. She was great at paying attention to what I wanted done super-well, and what stuff wasn't important to me. IE: I use the stove several times a day, so I don't care if it's cleaned really well because I'll just have to clean it again later, but that ceramic utensil holder never gets a good scrub down and ought to...that type of stuff. They threw in a few freebies (they don't normally do laundry rooms, but they did mine per request, etc etc. At the end of the day, they toured the house with me to show me all of the details they hit. Even the yucky top of the fridge was clean! Grooves in the shower door, around light switches, cupboard doors, oil bottles. Lots of finicky stuff that I just don't have time for. Biggest pro for me was that they communicated well. Sometimes with an ESL cleaner, they couldn't understand what I was asking for, or with an older crew, they would do what they thought was important instead of what you were requesting, like making the bed after being told that the sheets needed changing anyway. It was really awesome to have a young, energetic crew that was respectful and paid attention to detail. read more

I recently moved out of my home and after 4 years of living like a bachelor, the place needed help. No excuses. I had a scheduling conflict with my moving company on Saturday, and Lyndsi gladly offered to come on Sunday even though they normally don't work Sundays. Not only that - it was Easter! No hunting for eggs with their families. Just hunting for dust bunnies in my apartment. Off The Deep End were great. They arrived exactly on time. They came prepared. They did a LOT of extra work and the pricing was a bargain. They cleaned my blinds and my fridge. They helped carry stuff to the dumpsters. They got all traces of hard water buildup off of the shower door, something I failed to do myself after multiple attempts. The end results were perfect. After nearly 8 hours of hard work my apartment was cleaner than it was the day I moved in. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. No nits to pick, no caveats, no ifs ands or buts. Meticulous That's the best word to describe this cleaning company's work: meticulous. My wife and I have a new baby and we wanted to get a deep cleaning job done on our place. Lyndsi and her crew went beyond our expectations. They used environmentally safe products, were easy to communicate with, and took a lot of care with their work. They focused on making sure the whole place was really clean; not just on the surface. Not only did they do a great job cleaning the basics (counters, floors, etc.) they made the display panel on our 1980s oven look like it was brand new again; not an easy feat. It wasn't that nice when we moved in. Our shower walls and sliding glide doors needed a lot of work and they made them look amazing, too. Our blinds also came out (for a little extra $) looking brand new as well. Over the next week, we discovered other hidden areas they had cleaned out (like the lint screen on the dryer) Plus, the price we paid was reasonable. With all the detailing, hard work, and extra time they put into cleaning our place, they stuck to the original price. We recommend them highly. We will definitely use them again. read more

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this cleaning service. Yelp has let me down. I was renting a 4 bedroom house and had lived there for 4 years. It was time to move out, and I looked around. My house looked like 4 bachelors had lived in it for 4 years... Not so great to show the landlord... I came to yelp to find a cleaning service. I chose Off The Deep End because of their great reviews, especially one from someone claiming they had a similar situation to mine. I called early in the week (Tuesday evening, I think) and left a message trying to schedule an appointment for the weekend. Soon after, my phone battery died. I awoke the next morning to a voice mail from Lindsay, saying she was sorry to not get to the phone, but she was in the middle of a job. We played phone tag all morning, and I finally spoke with Lindsay on Wednesday afternoon. She was very pleasant on the phone. I explained that the house was empty of all furniture and asked if it could be cleaned on Saturday, as my walkthrough with the landlord was on Sunday. At first, it seemed like there was no availability for Saturday, but se was able to move an appointment earlier in the morning and make my house the afternoon stop! "What great service!" I thought to myself. They were scheduled to show up at 2pm on Saturday, and I only had to be there to let them in and come back to check on the work at the end, as the house was empty. I received a phone call around 1:45 or so, explaining that their last job went a little late, and they would be about 30 minutes late. I still felt good. 3:00 rolled around... still no arrival. So I called, and was told they were on their way and about 30 minutes away. They didn't arrive until shortly AFTER 4:00!!!!!! So after arriving over 2 hours late, there were three people there to clean, and I still felt pretty good about it. They were very personable, and did indeed make me feel good about leaving them to do the job. They walked through, and Lindsay asked me if the curtains came with the house when I moved in. I told her no, and she asked if she could have them. I thought this was weird, but I said yes, because I wasn't taking them with me. I left the crew there, and went about my day later than I had hoped, but still happy that the house would be clean when my landlord arrived the next day. About 45 minutes later, Lindsay called me to say that she had an emergency with another crew member at another job and they had to leave. She asked if they could come do the cleaning the next afternoon. I explained to her again that my walkthrough with my landlord was that day, and it had to be done before then. She said she was sorry but she had to leave, and was doing a babysitting job the next morning and could be there around 2 to finish the job. She would call me at 11am to confirm. I was pretty upset at this point. So, knowing that I could not count on these people do actually show up on time, if at all, I woke up at 5AM on Sunday, and went to my old house and started scrubbing it down myself. Luckily for me, I have the best girlfriend ever, because she came along to help, without me even asking! We spent all morning cleaning, scrubbing, wiping, scouring, mopping... you name it! I had my walkthrough with the landlord at 1:30PM, as scheduled, and they seemed pretty happy with the condition of the place. Oh yeah, that 11AM "confirmation call" I was supposed to get? Was it fate that lead Lyndsi and Eric to my home? Possibly! We had been trying out several cleaning people, companies, etc and fed up with the half-a**ed jobs they would do, we finally came to yelp to find a new crew. What a blessing Lyndsi and Off the Deep End were - not only were they on time, they did not get scared that my house was larger than I had described it on the phone and kept the pricing the same. It is difficult to get a home built in the 40's immaculate, but they did. They were at our home for 6 hours and got just about every nook and cranny they could find. Not only that, they speak English, followed any directions I had and were so sweet with our bulldog that she didnt get riled up with them there. They are not "cheap," but cheap is what got me non-english speaking, slow, on their cellphones the whole time, missed tons of dust and grime, cleaners. Off the Deep End is NOT expensive either - they a THOROUGH! I promised that I'll update my review once I uses their cleaning service. I am sorry that cannot be materialized. Here's why - they stood me up AGAIN! I wish I can give them 0 stars instead of one!!! I called Lindsi late June and made an appointment for 7/6. Lindsi was pleasant on the phone as usual. She was apologetic and agreed to redeem the $100 credit that they promised to compensate me for not showing up last time. Lindsi requested that I remove my review on Yelp in exchange for the credit. I informed her that I will update my review based on the service I receive but I will not remove my previous review as it is a reflection of what happened. Also the fact that they treated their customer with respect and compensate for what they didn't do well is a good indication for their professionalism. Lindsi agreed and reminded me that if I need to change or cancel my appointment, I would need to give them 48 hour notice, which made me believe that they really take this project serious and put it on their calendar. They did not show up on 7/6. After an hour past our scheduled time, I realized that it was de ja vu. My last experience was not an exception. I felt I was a fool to trust them for the 2nd time. I left them several voice mails. Being a nice person as I am, I did not update my review right away. I was giving them another opportunity to explain what happened. But it has been 2 weeks without any response from them. I feel obliged to share my experience with Yelpers so that you are aware of what you are dealing with. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me! Folks, if you don't care if they will show up for your appointment or not, feel free to try them. But just don't count on them. They are not trust-worthy. You probably want to think again if you want people coming to your house that are have credibility issues. I don't. Read all the posts with bad reviews. They are all related to them not showing up. Decide for yourself. They apparently are smart people who are taking advantage of the online review and marketing. I'll have to doubt the credibility of some of the reviews. A Yelper who gave them a very good review left me a message questioning me why I left a bad review for them. Seriously?! You like them that much to care what review other people gave them? I thought we are in a country with freedom of speech. Lyndsi and team came over for just yesterday for a cleaning (they've been over a few times now), and every time I come home after their done, I'm reminded of how much I SUCK at cleaning my own house. Sure, I sweep every few days and vacuum the dog hair off the couches, but when they're through with my house, the place is literally SPARKLING. The old grout on the kitchen counters somehow look much better and everything is sanitized. It saddens me to have to give this review, but I think I've been more than patient and helpful to them to ultimately be screwed. Off The Deep End Clean has been cleaning my house for 4 months twice a month. They started off great and I gave them a glowing review, then the problems started. They're either late or call last minute to change days or times. Granted, their work is great but getting them to come on time is a struggle. The final straw that forced me to write this review is an incident that happened this week. They came on Tuesday couldn't finish the job and so I said they can come the next day Wednesday at 1pm to finish. Lindsay calls at 1pm on Wednesday to tell me that they can't make it and that they'd come Thursday. Today is Friday and they haven't called, come and all their numbers don't' work. I (and this is my fault) paid them in full for a job half done - my house is half done with no idea as to when they'll come or if they'll ever come finish the job. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I guess being nice and accommodating doesn't get you the best service. For someone who worries constantly about their Yelp score I would think better service would come naturally. read more

OOPS!!!! BIG MISTAKE!!! Wow....I don't even know where to begin. If I wrote all of the "falsehoods" Lyndsi claimed...I'd take up way too much space (not to mention the excuses post fiasco). Simply put, I choose them based upon the yelp reviews, like so many other folks. They arrived a bit late, with an excuse of missing the off ramp... Okay. We did the walk through, and I must say, even from the get go Lyndsi seemed a little "off". All of a sudden, she forgot if she had previously told me they don't do dishes...okay, she didn't but no problem; not many there anyway. Now keep in my mind, my house was FUNKY, not to mention I requested (and was willing to pay $50-$75/each for extras-like cleaning inside the fridge and folding piles of clothes). After our walk through I had to leave for work...really running late now. I left my number for any questions or emergencies. The quote for my 2/1 was $200.00 to begin, plus the extras (fridge, clothes). For me that's a lot of money, but I was hoping it would b worth it because I REALLY wanted to start anew with a clean, fresh house. Anywho, I'm thinking, rejoicing all throughout my day that when I finally return home, I can expect a brilliantly cleaned house. WELL! I walk in and hmmm.....floors still dirty, house is still filthy and $80.00 is missing from the money I left to pay for a complete job! I called Lyndsi after walking through in disbelief... I can't even begin to tell you all of the excuses...her partner had a possible heart attack...oh...no...wait....during the conversation that changed to "anxiety attack" (?). By this time, I can't even recall I'm too busy asking if they stole anything and what in the world did they do??? (the inside of the fridge, bathroom sink, one floor board behind the coach...). I'm floored. Then the texts begin about all of the drama and trauma's Lyndsi has experienced lately and how awful it feels to let so many people down.... REALLY. I'm a therapist at work...please not also for the "stranger" I just met this morning. I know I probably sound callous...but doesn't everybody at times get tired of all the "poor me", I'm so sorry excuses. It was amazing how dis-respectful her behavior and actions were. With no real reason as to why she could not just call me during the day to tell me they changed their mind...or address "whatever" was happening. Nope fool me once....! (oh yes...she was also concerned about me writing a review..."just please write my side"... I think I'm STILL speechless and how dis-honorable she was. I do wish her and her partner good/better health; physically AND spiritually....but, no more entrance into my sanctuary! Yikes! read more

I called Eric and Lyndsi after the first two house cleaning services I called did not return my call to schedule an appointment. When I called ODEC, Eric answered on the first try and was very polite, friendly, and accommodating. I set my date and time for the following day for a quote and for them to begin immediately after the quotation process. They were on time, and quickly walked through the house and explained what they would do, and where I wanted them to focus. I agreed to their competitive price for the job at hand, about 4 hours for my smaller 2/1 home, I also used the Yelp deal which helped a lot, and they worked straight through for 4 hours as they described. They did a very good job. I was at home at the time and they were very friendly, communicated well, were very polite and careful with fragile items, returning items to the appropriate places, etc. They used green products and asked before using bleach based products for the shower which needed it. For a 4 hour, 2 person crew they did a very good job, and if one were to choose to use them for routine work I think they would keep a home very clean. I would use them again. Be sure to very thoroughly review all of the work you want done; I had not realized until the end that deep grout work on the floor would be a separate session which is understandable as it was a very significant separate job that could easily take hours on its own. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work, friendly presence, attitude, work ethic, flexibility and accommodating approach. They were very eager to perform additional jobs as described which was very refreshing and extraordinary. I had a great experience with Lyndsi and Eric today. I hate cleaning and our house was Dirty with a capital D. Lyndsi and team arrived on time, worked their butts off all day and left a clean house. They were professional, polite and respectful of our property. They cleaned places I have never even thought of (the tops of doors!). Our kitchen sparkles and I can barely believe the difference. I have been using cleaning ladies and services for well over 8 years in the Tarzana area and have NEVER been satisfied with them after they leave. I am picky and many friends of mine have made fun of me for it. I had a HUGE mess to clean up and I realized it was something that I couldn't take on myself. I found "Off The Deep End Clean" through "Yelp" and thought I'd give them a try from all the rave reviews. Well!!!!! They are the BEST cleaning service hands down! My house had gotten so messy with having three kids and 4 dogs and they took it on and did MORE than I expected! I needed it cleaned before have a large crowd for Thanksgiving and they were able to squeeze me in! Cleaned my house TOP to BOTTOM and even tackled a bathroom that I didn't even want to clean. i have people come clean my apartment because, not only am i very lazy, i also loathe cleaning. i moved to the valley from san diego a few months ago and came on yelp to find a new cleaner. in san diego i had used a couple different services, and they had done an all right job, but one of them would only clean for the 2 hours for the price and just sort of did a half ass job. i saw all the great reviews for Off the Deep End and decided to give them a call. they called me right back and were very friendly over the phone. the day they were supposed to come, they had a car emergency and rescheduled, but when my plans changed and i had a free day sooner, i called back and they were able to come that day, which was awesome. they came to my place, scoped it out, and *thoroughly* cleaned the entire place. the bathroom and kitchen were *sparkling*. they basically deep cleaned and the price was worth it. they were also very nice and friendly and had great attitudes. i am having them come back next month, and i would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality house cleaner. read more

I can only think of one word...AWESOME!!!! I totally agree with the previous review. Very flexible as far as finding a date that would work around my work schedule. My home was probably a little more work with 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms so, they brought reinforcements. I'll admit I was a little nervous with this being my first time using a cleaning service, but they were very professional and polite. All of them worked fast and very thorough. The pricing was fair given the amount of time they spend cleaning...not leaving until the job is done. My house never looked so nice!!! They get the things that you miss or think doesn't need to be cleaned. I would definitely recommend them to others, and plan on using them again on a monthly basis. I would suggest allowing 6-8 hours to set aside, I'm assuming it would vary depending on the size of your home. I called Lyndsi and left a voicemail and she promptly called me back and set a time to come clean my filthy place. She quoted me a VERY reasonable price range. On the day, she called me about 20 minutes before the set time and told me she was on her way. Her and Colin arrived on time with their own supplies (GREEN!) and saw what they were about to tackle. I can highly recommend Off the Deep End....Lyndsi and Eric were professional, thorough and very accommodating. They provided all cleaning equipment and products. My home hasn't been this clean in over a year. They scrubbed the exterior of my dingy refrigerator until it looked brand new and even cleaned my small kitchen appliances (blender, etc). They CLEANED my house! Not just cleaned it, CLEANED it. This team of lovely people took so much pride in their work, and made our home spotless. They were recommended to me by the company who cleaned our air ducts, and they lived up to their stellar reviews. I called Lydsi and she answered the phone right away, she was friendly and very helpful in scheduling me for the following week, even though they were very booked. I had a difficult schedule that week and she was very accommodating, she even offered to work on sunday (their day off). Then the team came over- they were on time and ready to work. Lyndsi, Erik, Riley, and Brittany split up and each took a different space in our house. They scrubbed our bathroom floors by hand, they cleaned the stains off the grout in the showers, they detailed the baseboards and the doors, and the banisters, and even wiped down every bottle on my vanity. These guys worked like an efficient machine, and the best part about it... they were courteous and lovely to be around. I had a nice conversation with Brittany while she was wiping the blinds in the office, such a sweet girl! After they were done, they walked around the house with me to make sure they hadn't missed anything.
