As others have stated on Yelp, they add a tip to your bill, and place a misleading tip calculator on the bottom of the check and present it to you in the dark /dim lighting, assuring that you will not notice. People complain, but they still leave it that way. It's obviously intentional. Why patronize an establishment like that? read more

Sam Morrill, obviously a Trump-hater, was the main feature Dec 17, 2018. He got blowback from the audience so he resorted to ageism insults about the "snowbird" retireds. My DIL, who is probably not even as old as he is, was "grabbed" at the venue and shown out the door, apparently for not laughing at his jokes. They said she was rude but I reserve judgment b/c she's a quiet reserved woman, and a professionally employed all-year resident of Naples. Considering suing b/c of "grabbing" her, meaning physical contact. read more

We arrived not knowing what to expect. Regardless of weather conditions, you have to wait outside wrapped around the building. The start time listed on the ticket was nine but we were not even allowed in until 9:26. Even though you pay for tickets you are still required to purchase two drinks a person. And considering this, we never had to show our tickets, we were just asked whether or not we checked in. The waitress would stop right in front of you while you are trying to watch the show and wait until you ordered your second drink. When I went I had great seats (I prefer the booths) and saw Alonzo Bodden (hilarious). Don't remember who opened for him (he was terrible). The food and service there is pretty good. The menu is a little more upscale than you'd find at normal Comedy Clubs. They have special shots they offer (I got one) and our table shared a bunch of appetizers. We had a great time. Afterwards, Alonzo stayed behind to meet fans. Not everyone does that so I thought it was nice of him to do. I "liked" them on Facebook and see they get a lot of great acts. read more

Was there tonight for the Sam Comroe show. He was great! This review is about the venue, not the show. The venue - The layout is horrible. I've never been to a comedy club laid out like this. The picture on their website shows a VERY limited view of the room. We were seated at a table in a rear corner, way off to the side. where we could barely see the comedian....from behind and off to the side. Some tables were behind the bar. Those poor people had to see the show looking through the bar! Most venues may have seats/tables farther back, but all are facing the stage. Poor layout. They should tell you on the website that you may have a poor/obstructed view. Failure to do so could be construed by some as deceptive advertising...I feel it is. The service - Horrible! Drink orders took a while. Placing a food order took even longer. Everyone at our table placed their food order at the same time (once we got a server to help us). The show was about half over when 4 of us got our food. The server came back when the show was almost over and told the other 4 the kitchen was "backed up" and they should get their food soon. The server was told not to bother bringing the food since the show was ending! The excuse of being "backed up" does not make sense. As compared to a standard restaurant, the owners of this facility know how many people are coming in for a show based on ticket sales! Therefore, they know what sort of food rush to expect. The only real likely reason I can think of for this level of service is that they don't have enough help. With a venue like this, given enough historical data, they can probably predict within a close margin how many of each menu item they will sell and when, thus how much help they will need to get the food out. The drinks - Ordered a mojito, moscato, and a glass of water. Water - Was told they do not serve water, but could buy a bottle of it for $2.00. This was not San Pelligrino water, just a small bottle of plain water, I think between 12 and 16 oz (honestly didn't look at the bottle size). I can't remember where I asked for a glass of water and was charged for it. C'mon guys! Moscato - came from a bottle that was opened too long ago. The frizzante (mildly sparkling) was long gone from this glass, flat as a pancake. Definitely came a bottle that was opened too long. Mojito - I thought these drinks has some rum in them? The drink I got was iced club soda with mint in it. The food - ordered a cup and a bowl of New England Chowder the shrimp scampi flat bread and lump crab cobb salad. Clam Chowder - ordered a bowl and a cup. The server brought out two bowls the same size. When questioned, he said one was the cup and the other the bowl. Either we got two bowls for the price of a cup and a bowl, or more likely, two cups for the price of a cup and a bowl (I took pictures of them) Shrimp scampi flatbread - acceptable Lump crab cobb salad - would have been acceptable, except it wasn't served with lump crabmeat. It was more like the white crab flakes used to make dishes such as non-lump crab cakes (I took a picture), In fairness, one of the people who never got their food had the manager come by (I guess because they had to take the food off his check). She did offer us all a free ticket to come back for another show. I declined the free tickets since I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't send any of my friends here, even with a free ticket. One star...I only gave that because I had to give one in order to post the review. read more

The first two New Jersey comics were great especially Mirano. But having a reality tv star as a comic was terrible. He had no idea how to tell jokes he just told stories. I would suggest if you're going for laughs make sure it's real comedians. read more

I love stand up comedy, but if this is the only choice in town, I'll pass. First of all, the comedian I went to see was great. Unfortunately I cant say the same for the rest of the experience. Tickets aren't priced as advertised. They charged us an exta $6 fee and it's an extra dollar if you want to print out your tickets. Once we got there, check in was easy. They have a 2 item minimum so we had a beer and soup. Both the clam chowder and lobster bisque tasted awful. One soup bowl looked like someone spilled soup over the side and the plate was (obviousky) wiped down. When we got our check, the numbers didn't add up until we noticed there was an additional charge for $10 in tiny font, which was very difficult to detect in dark lighting. We had a charge for 4 "bottle import" beers and the small additional charge. If a beer is $8, just charge that instead of trying to hide a 2.50 additional charge. The waitress first explained it shouldn't have been on there but then came back and told us "import beers cost more than domestic." That didn't explain the charge on top of "bottle import". We were also charged for a bottle of water that we never received. We had asked for tap water, but now are glad they didnt bring it out since they charge for water. We enjoyed the comedian, but the venue mostly ruined the experience. Bad food and you get nickel and dimed. For the money we spent on soup and beer we have had excellent dinners on fifth ave. We won't be back next date night. read more

Waited 57 min for delayed earlier show. No explanation or compensation offers. Once inside, asked to be seated on one side rather than other. Was flatly told "No" by surly seating mgr (after waiting an hour outside in the rain). Cocktail service was more than 18 minutes after we were seated !!! Where is the management in this place? Absolutely loved the Ralphie May show. He went over on the 8pm show, not the clubs fault. I bet he went over on the 10pm show too, so everyone got their same time. Great venue for a show. Food was soooo good. I had the shrimp and crab risotto and hubby had the prime rib. We had 3 friends with us and they all loved the food too. Our server was new and a wee bit overwhelmed but trying hard and everything was right. I wish they had a depends dispenser because I may have wet myself laughing at the highly inappropriate Ralphie May. It was my 3rd time seeing him so I knew he was naughty and picked on the owner of the club a lot, very funny. Ralphie was having so much fun with us he went over and left the later show waiting and I see the reviews. That is a bummer. They did not comment on if they liked the show or food??? I have seen a lot of shows here. They get really good acts. It's weird to me that they serve food during the show. Excellent food selection though. The Mac and cheese is to die for. The corn bread is delicious , although it should come with appetizer plates. Our waitress this trip , Amber , was excellent. On time and super knowledgeable and friendly. My complaint every time is that they charge $4 for a bottle of water. I mean I spent $95 and they can't give you a glass of water for free. I get that comedy clubs have a two drink minimum but once you have far exceeded that , give up a glass of water. Definitely worth checking out if you are into stand up. If not, go check out the food and by chance you might get a great show . read more

Came here on a Friday night for a date. I had a really great time and the two comedians Steve and April macie were hilarious. There is a 2 limit drink. We arrived around 730pm and it wasn't packed. We got seated immediately. Show started a little after 8pm. We didn't order food but it did smell really good. I'd probably come again if Naples was close. read more

We had a very pleasurable experience last week seeing Carlos Mencia as the headliner entertainer at Off the Hook. We had only drinks during the performance which went into "overtime" and was very good, as was the secondary comedian, Cisco. Service was very efficient and up to par. We had such a wonderful time we returned the next week to see Amazing Jonathan. This was an absolute disaster! Amazing Jonathan had been cancelled due to medical issues. We had been informed via a rather dubious e-mail. You had to wade between the fine print to garner this information. A substitute act was put in Amazing Jonathan's place and was just awful. We decided to eat here as we found knew there is an association with the Row Seafood restaurant which is well-rated. I ordered the Marsala tips served with asparagus and mashed potatoes as it was one of their specials. Upon putting knife and fork to the meat it was apparent that this was cafeteria- grade meat, so tough and inedible that I summoned the waitress to remove it, which she did and was also removed from our bill. I ordered a lump crab cobb salad in its place. Very lackluster with some very tired looking, wilted field greens, cooked Prosciutto which was as tough as shoe leather, tomato and bleu cheese garnish. The hunt was on for the crabmeat. The joke was really on me as the miniscule quantity of lump crabmeat was just that, a little lump. For the price, the restaurant could be more generous with the crabmeat portion of the program. It was OK but nothing to write home about. My husband had the jambalaya which looked fine with the normal cache of shrimp andouille sausage and cast of others. Very disappointing dining experience. We will never eat here again and will definitely think twice before returning for another comedy show. read more

I had a party of 6, and we decided to check the place out. When we got there, we asked for seating close to the stage. We were seated all the way in the back by the DJ... We ordered drinks and food, EVERYTHING took an extremely long time to get to us. Food got to us almost half way through the show, and we ordered before show even started. The waiter not paying attention went to give my wife her dinner and hit my glass sending everything all over. Yes, the waiter was VERY sorry, and I know it was an accident. But NOBODY else, including the manager came to check on things or apologize. The food itself is very expensive and was VERY bland. Not worth the money at all... Now, I can't hold the club responsible if an act is good or bad, but omg the 2 acts were not that good, much less funny. An extremely disappointing night. I may visit again ONLY if the act is someone i have heard of and like, but I will not be spending anything there.... read more

Awesome venue. Great service & really tasty food. I recommend the chef specials, sides were homemade & the ribeye steak was spot on cooked. Dual lobster tails people next to me had looked great. Been to a couple comedy shows at the old Off the Hook in Marco and now been to the new place in Naples...this place is bigger and better and has a younger crowd and it adds more energy to the room for the comedians Saw Ralphie May last week...some complained of standing in line outside because the early show ran over but not us! Ralphie was on stage for over 2 hours and kept us laughing the whole time! How can anybody complain for getting MORE than you paid for?!?! I'll be back for more shows! Carlos Mencia? Dice Clay? Off the Hook Comedy Club was literally Off the Hook! We recently moved to Florida from New York. We have been to many comedy clubs in New York over the last 17 years. However our visit last month was "over the top" amazing. We were celebrating our 17th Anniversary and not really knowing the area very well decided to look for a local Comedy Club. We found out that DL Hughley was performing at a club near us. We immediately bought our tickets on line and were welcomed at the door with a friendly will call process. As we waited for the first show we ordered drinks. I had a double chocolate Godiva Martini and my Wife had a cocktail. They were amazing! We then reviewed the menus and to our disbelief they had REAL food! Not just the standard fried bar food we were accustomed  to ordering when at a comedy club. My wife ordered Surf and Turf. The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster as she put it "just melted in her mouth". This is an amazing compliment as my Wife has been  a Head Chef for over 25 years and can be overly judgmental on restaurant food. It is rare that we can eat somewhere that blows her away. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken and it was fabulous. Perfectly cooked grilled chicken over rigatoni with fresh spinach. Not only was the service great but the quality and preparation of the food was 5 out if 5. The decor and bar areas were all above average and upscale.The comics were hilarious and we enjoyed 3 sets. Every comic was grade A and gave us a great performance. I left full, tipsy and sore from laughing all night. We even stopped to chat with the comics on the way out and bought merchandise from everyone. We had such a great night and happy anniversary! Thank you! We look forward to our next visit! Went to Off the Hook for the second time. Last time we ordered the overpriced and poor quality food - not a second time. Just ordered a couple grossly overpriced drinks. The show was a complete waste of time as 80% of the show was two Black comedians speaking in jive. There were 10 or so white couples in the club and none of us were laughing because none of us could understand the foreign language of jive. Complete waste of time and $75. Wont go back. read more

Sicilian-born Maurice LoMonaco is world class amazing, provides a mind boggling selection of music, with a repertoire over a thousand songs in five languages, all sung from memory and known by heart. He is a Lyrical Tenor, Singer/Songwriter, singing everything from show tunes to John Denver to opera and Italian love songs. It turns out the comedy club is a good venue to see him in. His performance is on a low stage at the back of the club, but he freely roams the restaurant singing table side, making for intimate performances. The seating in the dining area is comfortable, cozy nice ambiance; you really get to hear Maurice and the passion in his singing, and he brought emotional tears to more than a few eyes on some songs. Just go for the comedy - good venue, easy parking, clean place. Food is so/so - ok considering a comedy club. Skip the expensive dinners and just go with nachos and lighter fare. The shrimp cocktail is very good! Drinks are a joke (no pun intended) - waaaaayyyyyy too expensive for cheap, small highballs with little alcohol. Better value with straight pours or beer/wine. Watch out when you get your check! BE CAREFUL ... A tip is added onto the bill, which is impossible to see in the dark. Our friends actually added a tip on (in addition) without knowing they had already been charged a tip! read more

The show was meant to be a comedy & drag show hosted by the drag queens. The drag queens encouraged the audience to boo the comics off stage. As a result, the show was mostly drag and very little comedy. A small portion of the audience was successfully booing comics, ruining the comedy experience for the rest of the audience. This behavior is disrespectful, uncomfortable, and should not be tolerated by the club. read more

Three comedians, only one was somewhat funny. Main act was not funny at all. Maybe you needed to be a New Yorker? The entire place was filled with New Yorkers. Being a Midwesterner, our comedy clubs were much better. Food was just edible (but it is just a comedy club.) Service was ok. Drinks at $10 not worth it. read more

We had a great time on Wed 4/28 for the Ron White show. We got there at 4:30 and were seated immediately at a table about 10 feet from he stage. Prices are up there and you have to watch the tip thing but service was prompt and our waiter was great. Ordered nachos...loaded and delicious and enough for all 4 of us. We then ordered the Hawaiian flatbread, also quite good. The show started at 7 and it was nonstop laughs for the night. Ron White was dead on funny with terrific insight and ability. Pandemic hasn't affected him at all. Then a couple of comedians followed White and were also fantastic. Off the Hook did not disappoint and we will be back! read more
