Awesome quality and the service is so polite , if you can treat yourself to there desserts as well ! Love this place !

This is an update to a previous review given on this restaurant by me. The rating of the service provided by the employees of the restaurant has gotton worse. An esItmated 80% of my orders placed has either been wrong or incomplete. If the food wasn't good I certainly would have not put up with such unprofessional behavior. Tonight's order was lacking cold slaw. I received my original order just after 6:00pm. Shortly after I called to informed them that I hadn't receive my coleslaw. Despite several calls to them as of 8:30pm ( one which I was hung up on, a second I asked to speak to the manger and was informed I would receive it in fifteen minutes. That was an hour ago and I have yet to received my coleslaw. I was told that the managers name is Dee. I am done with this business. I can no longer justify giving my money to an organization that displays such unprofessional behavior. I give them two stars because the food is good. Food is good. customer service lost my business. I am a frequent customer and never had experience what others say. The ghetto zoo animal receptionist that takes the orders need to be grateful she have a job but instead she is acting herself. Very rude and disrespectful tell you she is not gonna to argue with you she don't care what you want and keep hanging up. So basically you are not able to get your order how you want when ordering via phone now in person different story and when the boss there different story. I live pretty close the here and only eat three things off of the menu. Soft shell fried crabs, seafood alfredo and stuffed mushrooms. Everything else I've had hasn't impressed me but wasn't bad by any means. Just wouldn't get it often for the price. The alfredo is super super cheesy. It can almost be to cheesy and thick. This time pictured below was a light sauce day, i was very surprised. They normally give a really good amount of pasta and seafood. This platter is about $17. Its worth the price because its sit down restaurant quality food but is pretty pricey as take out food. But in moderation I definitely think its worth it. The people are friendly every time i go. This place has some very very good steamed crabs, however, there are a few very very rude cashiers, and they do some very UNPROFESSIONAL things. They advertise a rewards program that you get a point for every dollar that you spend, after 200 points (200 dollars) you get 10.00 off. I'm sure that not many people even use this rewards program, but me & my group only patronize businesses that have rewards in one way or the other. Well in the month of Mar, April, May & June OF 2019, my group, ordered under my account hundreds of dollars of meals, mostly steamed crabs & Salmon platters, & steamed crabs by the pound. In the beginning, after every $200.00 we were getting our discount reward of $10.00 off on our next order. Then all of a sudden, we kept getting different cashiers saying oh you get $10.00 off your next order, and our entire group, ( that has access to view our account at this establishment), begin to say, oh no we should have gotten our rewards at this point twice. I contacted the store first, spoke to this super, super rude cashier, (which I'm leaving out names, although I clearly remember everyone that I spoke to every time), claiming she didn't know how the program works, (maybe that's why Im not getting my rewards huh)!!! Anyway, 3 nasty & totally unprofessional employees later, I was put in contact with the manager, (not the owner, but the owners son), and I totally understood why the employees have no respect for the customers. He was worst than the super rude cashiers. So instead of apologizing for the mistake, or offering a free meal or something to correct this mixup, he sits & wants to debate with me about the rewards. Now I might not be an accountant, but I sure now how to keep up with spend $200.00 get $10.00 off next order. That month we had already spent $500.00 at that place, at that point and this manager ( I bet his dad has no idea how he is running this place) would rather argue & debate than keep a good paying, large money spending, group such as ours. I will not even talk about the great tips we would give the nice workers, along with the rude ones, but the nice employees got 5 to 6 times more!!! I have to give it to the steamed crabs, in my opinion they are the best around. However, there is some very very slimy things going on. I am not accusing anyone of anything, but the manager is a real jerk and there is something fishy (no pun intended) going on. You are supposed to get 10.00 off for every 200.00 points ( 1 dollar = 1 point), in the month of June I purchased over $500.00 worth of seafood and it is only June 10, 2019. I was not getting my $10.00 off so I not only emailed them, I called and first of all the female Imish or something like that is super rude, I expressed me issue she got very nasty and then put the owners son on and he was worst than the female. After proving over the phone to both of them that although I should have had 2 10.00 off at this point that I did not get one and that someone is doing something that is making it look like I am getting the money off over in the store, I have my receipts that are showing that I am not. Instead of the so called manager saying ok since you are such a good customer and I am sorry about the confusion, I will give you the $20.00 off your next order to make up for the $20.00 that you did not get this month after spending over $500.00 in ten days, he wants to argue with me. So I am thinking you would rather lose my business than to just suck it up that someone there knows how to get the 10.00 for themselves and keep telling me my next order will get the 10.00, like I am some type of dummy, and that is just what has happened. They have potential to be better my snow crabs was dry and wasn't seasoned enough it barely had any season on its broccoli was cooked perfectly but had no seasoning on it when I asked for the plater to be seasoned with butter and garlic but it's has potential I'll try them one more time in the near future also they need to get bigger crabs those crabs was skinny and had barely no meat in them. read more

To start off my wife ordered online and for delivery. About 40mins went by and no delivery but online the order said delivered. My wife called to ask what's going on the with order. The person on the said "the delivery guy just walked in with it. So we told them he never came to our house and marked it delivered. They offered us half off the price original price and fresh made food(we picked up ourselves). I believe the delivery guy tried to steal our order and get a free meal. I purchased (3) seafood platters, when I got home and decided to warm my food I noticed the collard greens were burnt and they decided to add some type of flavor to cover up the taste. This is the second time I had the same experience and chose not to patronize them until my girlfriend wanted some seafood and wanted to try their food. They are open Mon-Sat 11am-12am and Sunday 12pm-11-pm. This is my second time eating from the establishment. Both times have been a great experience. My first time was back in April on a week day. I ordered over the phone and within twenty min I had my food. I ordered fried stuffed shrimp, which was stuffed with lump crab meat as well. It was great!!! I also ordered the Baked Lump Crab Meat which had just a small amount of breading...only to hold it together. It is 95% lump crab. It comes in a kind of a cupcake holder, it's very filling!! That can be found under the appetizer category. Today I ordered delivery. I placed my order online, at 10:25 and by 11:10 I had my order, and it was nice and hot!! This time I ordered broiled stuffed shrimp with crab meat, which was basted in garlic butter. Three pieces were given along with two sides broccoli and Macaroni and cheese that I ordered. You can always get double sides, or none at all. The broccoli was steamed, then basted with garlic butter. The macaroni was cheesy, but I believe cheese sauce was used to make the Mac, which wasn't bad at all. I also ordered the baked lump crab meat again, which I think I will always order no matter what, which was perfect!! Lastly I ordered six jumbo steamed shrimp with garlic butter. I know it seems like a lot of garlic butter, but I did request it. Please don't worry though, about the butter. I think they use unsalted butter, in order to keep the taste of the entree. Nothing was too salty at all. It all had just the right amount of flavor. I'm quite happy that this establishment is going strong. I've spoken to so many people who have patronized this establishment since its opening and only great things about the food I have heard. My tip is that you call your order ahead of time for pickup. It will save you the Trimble of being frustrated if you hate waiting. Just remember it's a good thing for you to get food from an establishment that is always busy. The Mediterranean salad is to die for. I prefer ranch or blue cheese dressing. The oranges add the right touch with the scallops, shrimp and clams. The menu is exactly like J&P Seafood on Spruce Street in West Philadelphia. read more

Mixed..I tend to get the same thing, I'm a creature of habit. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's passable. Food taste isn't consistent. If they tell you 20 minutes, add 10. I live in so they are the closest to my house that deliver. They food was off the hook let's say cause I was spending like 80 dollars a week there. So let start, on one night I order from them with no problem regular type order Surf and Turf , Beef and Reef and Shrimp Creation so my order is like 67 dollars with the tip 72 dollars. So spending my money here was not the problem. I get my order one of my platters was not what I have order my Steak was red not well done ,my stuffed Shrimp w/Crab meat was burned. I then call OFF THE HOOK and nicely as I can be I tell the lady on the other line what is wrong with my order and can they send someone with a new order. She like HER BOSS THE OWNER OF OFF THE HOOK said he was NOT sending another driver to bring me a change order. I would have to bring it back myself..... SECOND I AM LIKE WTF Are u serious... I ask the women on the phone can I speak to the OWNER she like he don't want to talk to no one.... I used to be a regular here. The food was good. Service from the sista's awesome! I was a happy frequent customer until this past Friday night. I ordered $65 worth of food and because lately when I've been ordering the wait has been a half hour to and hour longer especially with people waiting outside because of COVID-19 I ordered while on I-95. I didn't know that I would be stuck in construction traffic for what felt like forever. So I called as I was approaching my exit to give my card numbers to pay in advance and grab my food. Even the girl that answered was on the same page as me. Nope! Not when this rude manager got on the phone. It was closing in on 11pm and I was ten minutes away and he straight told me that I could Not get my food because his staff gets paid $20 an hour and he can't have them there past 11pm. So on Friday I didn't get anything. I was disappointed but I was understanding. Sunday I called to place an order and the rude dude answered the phone told me my number was on block and that I could not order over the phone and had to come in claiming that he was the same person who spoke with me on Friday and that if I was just a few minutes late that I could not get my food and I would be forever banned from ordering from them. So on that note, I said okay unhung up the phone and ordered from Uncle Joe's Seafood across the street! And guess what? It was still good and I spent around the same amount!! If I ever go back to this place, I'll have to order two meals: one for me and one for the person holding the gun to my head. Wow. When I first got to the area, my wife and I came here for dinner. The first night, we sat at one of the tables and had a wonderful dinner. She got fried catfish and I got an alfredo special. Both meals were delicious. The vibe was great, the employees were SO friendly! The employee who took my order was so kind and recommended sides for us to try. As we were leaving, we had a conversation about music with a woman behind the register (possibly in her late 20s - early 30s, medium brown complexion and dark hair) and other customers. It was awesome...but it all went downhill from there. First, the food. We came back for lunch and got shrimp and fries specials. Idk what's up with that cocktail sauce but it is horrible. Bland, no flavor, lacking in that little bit of punch that the horseradish provides in good cocktail sauce. Fries were good but the shrimp were lackluster. Another time, I came back and ordered the alfredo but asked for them to not put that thick cheese on top of my meal. This time, the employee ( a younger, heavy set brown skinned girl with glasses and a consistently horrible attitude) asked the chef not to melt that cheese over my food and I heard them both having a convo about how it's not real alfredo without that layer of cheese on top. I've never had any alfredo that I had to chisel through a layer of cheese to eat. Secondly, if I'm paying for food just make it the way I ask for it and hold the smart ass comments. Even after all that, I called tonight to place an order, purposely waiting until the later shift to avoid the attitude from that employee and hopefully get the same chef that cooked our first meal. That same rude ass employee with the glasses and the shitty attitude was working tonight and took my order. I asked for the salmon & shrimp plate with fettuccine alfredo sauce, (which according to their menu is different from the alfredo special) I tried asking several questions to make sure they weren't the same thing. I also asked for them not to melt all of that damn cheese over my food. The employee was so busy interrupting me she didn't even address my concerns. I asked again and she kept asking "Anything else? Anything else? Anything else?" Wow. She needs to be retrained or fired. I brought the food home and sure enough, it was covered in partially melted clumps of cheese. Four of the shrimp still had veins. Disgusting. Properly deveined shrimp should be expected of a seafood restaurant, There was no fettuccine alfredo sauce, and the amount of Old Bay was unbearable. I gave this place several chances. I really wanted to like it but they don't make it easy. Food is inconsistent and went from incredible to inedible in just a few visits. In fact, the only thing consistent is that little girl's horrible attitude. Next time, I'll take my chances with the seafood restaurant across the street or the bar next to Tony Boys. Save yourself some money and avoid this place. The prices aren't worth such underwhelming experiences. The alfredo at Olive Garden is better than this. P.S.: they also have desserts. Their peach cobbler isn't a peach cobbler at all. It's canned peaches with some thick challah-type bread product. Their sweet potato cheesecake is not a real cheesecake at all. read more

The lady who answered the phone was terribly rude and spoke harshly. I asked to substitute my bed of rice for french fries since I was already getting mac and cheese. The first lady on the phone was nice and willing to do it. Then another women answered the phone saying "what do you want". I explained my situation and she Said "we dont do that here" with an attitude. I said cant you charge me a substitution fee for the substitution. She then said "No I'd have to charge you full price for the side". If some platters come with a bed of pasta or rice as an option ALONG with the choice of 2 sides that include another pasta (like mac and cheese) . Why wouldn't they give you the option to substitute it. She also called me back saying one of my sides was not available. They open at 11 why didnt they have collard greens ready yet at 12:30! i got my food and my crabs were dried out no flavor and my mac and cheese was bland. I ordered food from this restaurant before and didn't have a problem but the last time I ordered the food was terrible. It taste as if they cooked it in old dirty burnt oil. I called to complain and the young lady on the phone wasn't very polite and told me to bring the food back. Because I ordered online and it was delivered I wasn't able to get there. When I informed her of this she said ok and took my information thinking that they'd would rather keep a customer and I would be reimbursed me or even be offered for them to send another order instead nothing was done. never ordering there again, placed an order at 2:22pm through grub hub and the estimated time 3:24-3:34 that was lied about they said give them an extra 10 mins i gave that my delivery never came called grub hub and they said my order was canceled and i never wanted the order to be cancelled i called off the hook and they were so rude about it she went from really nice on the phone and was so rude repeating your order was cancelled without even calling or confirming that it was cancelled. never going there again i used to show up and support but now that's done & this is why we can't all get nice things cause of businesses like this. read more

Was so excited that a new seafood place was opening. the young girl at the counter had such an attitude, like she was doing us a favor. I can only drink seltzer, so I asked if I brought in a can, could she give me a cup of ice. "No, we do not have ice", she said. Meanwhile, they are serving raw mussels and clams over ice. I placed an order in the store on a Friday evening at 10:00 PM EST, waited for 45 minutes for my order which had been ready but the counter folks overlooked it; they were joking around, checking their cell phones, etc. Loud music, poor customer input flow. All for food that wasn't good, the fried shrimp were obviously pre-packaged, oily corn on the cob, soggy French fries. I wasn't given any condiments or plastic utensils. The food was ok...fried flounder had no seasoning no flavor and the fish didn't taste fresh. The mac and cheese isn't good. The broccoli was good had way more flavor than the fish. The sautéed shrimp was good...I wish I just got the shrimp with a side of broccoli. Long wait my food took almost 45 mins. I doubt I eat there again. read more
