Stopped by to get take out. There are many outdoor tables with umbrellas and a tent area. The staff were wearing masks and friendly. After we ordered we were given a beeper to get our order when it was ready. Noticed that after every order the counter, beepers and register screen were cleaned. Menu has the usual BBQ items St Louis ribs, brisket, pulled pork, wings and a few sides. There was a special of the day. My order of ribs and Mac & Cheese was very good. The ribs were tender and had a nice flavor and came with a sauce that was OK. Not sure if they have more then one sauce. The Mac & Cheese had a nice cheese flavor and was better then most BBQ joints. Will definitely look to stop back and try some of the other items on the menu. read more

What a great little Bar B Que spot! Amazing staff, they were all very helpful and on top of keeping it clean and orderly. A very good selection of beers and mixed drinks, and the brisket was perfect. Very good bun to meat ratio. And Mac & cheese was also very good. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely stopping. Pretty decent BBQ, but it is also moderately expensive. I order the cornbread, pulled pork Mac n cheese, and tried a few ribs. I thought the lady taking orders for pick up was extremely friendly. As for the food, it was just okay. I thought the Mac n cheese was average. It was not overly oily, which I can appreciate. But, it just tasted standard. Nothing special about it. The pulled pork was quite fatty. There was an entire block of just skin, and several globs of just fat. When I did get a moderately lean and balanced piece of meat, it was pretty good when dipped in sauce. Portion was okay for price but it wasn't very filling. Not much pulled pork (2 oz maybe). The ribs are pretty good. They are meaty and did not have the fat problem that the pulled pork did. However, for a half rack it was $16 and it did not come with any side. The cornbread was fairly good. It was a fair portion for the price and was still somewhat soft. There were small pieces of corn to add texture. There were two sauces that came with the pork mac but only the BBQ came with the ribs. The other sauce was orange and I prefer this one. It has a balance of sweet and spiciness and is not too heavy. The BBQ sauce was on the spicy side. If I return, I'll return for the customer service and to try the beans as well as the brisket. The beans look delicious, but my visit was pretty disappointing. read more

These wings are the BEST in the Burgh. So so juicy and flavorful. I can't believe they do a deal for wing Wednesday. Also a great place for live music and a beer. Wow!! I've driven by this place a million times and finally decided to stop in one night when I was craving BBQ. After sampling a good bit of the menu, I will say this is hands down my fave BBQ spot in Pittsburgh & surrounding areas. We ordered a brisket sandwich, pulled pork nachos, wings, half rack of ribs, and the kids grilled cheese & mac. The faves: the ribs stole the show... lots of meat and great taste. Could have been a little more tender but I came to the end of the meal and wanted to go back for more even though I was full. The wings were GIGANTIC, so even though your order comes with 3, it's a lot of wing. The misses: pulled pork was just okay and the mac & cheese was bland. Aside from food, the place is small and half of it is insulated with plastic with those outdoor heaters doing their best to warm you up. Beer menu was superb and they also have a lot of great non-alcoholic options, which is always appreciated. Get a blackberry lemonade with soda water if you're staying sober but want something yummy! This place has some REALLY good BBQ! It's Kansas City style and their sauces are amazing. They have Carolina style mustard BBQ sauce that's really good. The honey habanero one isn't too spicy and is great with the pulled pork. The service is fast but the lines do get long. When you order they give you one of those light up pucks (like Applebees) that tell you when to pick up your food at the counter. read more

The good: they have a good beer list with a strong selection of draft beers. But I'm easy, I'm a Guinness whore so as long as they have that on tap, I'm happy! There was ample seating although a good chunk is only protected by umbrellas, so options in rainy weather will be limited. Staff was very friendly, and clearly gets to know their regulars but still welcoming to newbies. The seasoned fries are stand-out. Hot, salty, seasoned well, couldn't get enough! The just ok: pretty much the rest of the food. When it comes to bbq, I look for a nice smoke ring. I should have thought twice when we walked in and didn't smell that bbq smoke smell. The pulled pork, brisket, and ribs all had minimal smoke. The ribs were reasonably tender and cooked well but just weren't smoked enough. The pork and brisket, though, were both dry and needed lots of sauce added. The sides were fine but not great. A warning to parents who might be ordering Mac and cheese to appease the young ones, as I might have done at one point for our kids. It is on the spicy side (to kid taste) and isn't described that way on the menu. The beans were on the bland and sweet end of things. Slaw is a sweet vinegar dressing, not creamy, for those who have a preference one way or the other. A side note: half the staff were wearing "Oakmont Barbecue Company" shirts. Googling after, I learned why but it was a little confusing. From my experience, I actually assumed in the moment that they must have rebranded to hide bad reviews. I guess if you know you know, but it raised red flags for me. Overall, not bad, would stop if in the area but won't go out of my way to go back. read more

I've been here a few times testing the consistency. The food and customer service is always remarkable. Most of the seating is outside and I love it. They have a full bar and slushies but their BBQ is amazing. Their selection of beers is almost overwhelming but I love the choices. They have a firepit and are dog friendly so they're awesome in my book. read more

It's an 8.4/10. So close to 5 stars, but I just can't give it. Does have: Excellent craft beer selection, outdoor seating areas that can be warmed in the cold season, smoked meats, live music, and good vibes. I grew up on Texas barbeque. This is some of, if not the best barbeque that I've found around the city, but there is still another level that smoked meats can get to. I'd love to see them offer burnt ends, meat by the pound, sausage, and maybe some turkey. Don't get me wrong, this place is great and I'm happy to have them here. My wife and I visited with the owners one night around the fire on the patio. Their daughter works there too. I love supporting something that a family is collectively investing themselves in. A couple of my friends and I met here on Saturday since we actually had a sunny afternoon! They have "indoor" and outdoor seating. The indoor seating isn't technically "indoors" since it has thick plastic along the walls and standing heaters. I'm sure once the weather warms up, it will all be outdoors. Outside there are tables, and also chairs around some fires burning. There's plenty of room to space out. All of the staff were wearing masks and they sanitized the signature pad between each customer. Dogs are welcome "indoors" and outdoors, yay! Food: You order up at the counter and they give you a buzzer. I barely sat down and took a sip of my drink before the buzzer went off. I ordered the pork mac (pulled pork over creamy mac n cheese). The food was hot, fresh and delicious! It reasonably priced and filling, too. Drinks: They have several beers/sours on tap and a bunch of different canned options (local and non local). There seemed to be something for everyone! I'll definitely be stopping by here again some time! read more

But a tad dry, that's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. It was super hot out today so we were sweating our butts off. But we all still had a great time. Easily THE BEST WINGS in all of Pittsburgh. Massive smoked whole wings. Crispy and saucy. I bet these could compete with the best wings in the state. Also the owner is so welcoming and gracious. A true gentleman. Has a very well trained staff. Everyone bends over backwards to make you feel like a welcome guest. The televisions and live music make for a very entertaining venue. The brisket sandwich was chopped which was odd to me, I've only had it sliced. Smoke flavor was weak on both items. The bright spot was the wonderful, creamy mac and cheese. Loved the different options for sauces, especially the Carolina gold. Our only complaint was that for such a small space, the live music was way too loud. The food was good. It's a walk in and order and then find a table and we will call you when it's ready kind of place. The menu is fairly limited in that they had meats, a few entrees that you could add meats to, some sandwiches, and your typical bbq sides. They offered 2 barbecues that are centrally located near their water cooler - a Carolina bbq and a standard barbecue. Both were good. The pulled pork was my favorite - smoky and juicy. The mac and cheese is saucy and cheesy, but very heavy on the pepper. Mixed reviews from my party of 4 because some really like pepper and some don't. Not realizing that most of what we ordered did not come with a side (other than a bag of lay's potato chips), we missed out on trying the other sides. Would have liked to get Cole slaw and beans or something other than a bag of chips. While not a perfect experience, I do think it's worth visiting again if we are in the area. It's a small place, so be prepared for that. They also have some outdoor tables for when the weather gets nicer. read more

I order a 3 bone St. Louis cut ribs and Mac&Cheese and a side of greens, the Mac & Cheese was very Good , the Ribs had a good Dry Rub Seasoning on them , The Green were just ok , and the reason I said just ok was the green had a lot of stems in them and I am not crazy about them !! Decided we were hungry for some barbecue and tried out this spot on a Friday afternoon. There's no table service--you order at the counter and get a pager, find a seat and wait for your food. I ordered a Guinness and the barmaid actually knew the right way to pour, which is a big plus. Self-service ice water is also available. By the time we found a seat, gathered our plastic cutlery and napkins, our pager buzzed and our food was ready to be picked up at the counter. We'll do the "bad" news first. We didn't want to go crazy on sides, so we had settled on two: cornbread and collard greens. The cornbread, although not bad, did not taste homemade. The collard greens were nicely cooked and had a spicy kick but lacked the flavor of smoked meat, such as a ham-hock or maybe a turkey leg that we're used to from a home cook. That's all well and good--we didn't come for the sides. We ordered a half rack of St. Louis ribs and three jumbo chicken wings. The ribs were meaty and tender, exactly what we were looking for. The meat, just a tiny bit fatty (it IS pork ribs after all) fell off the bone. No complaints at all about the ribs, other than the fact that there were only 2 sauce options available, a KC style and a Carolina honey mustard style. I would personally want a spicier option. My standard for KC sauce is Arthur Bryant's and nothing else approaches that, but again, it's the meat that matters most and these ribs were great. Now the chicken wings--OMG--these were the best wings I have ever eaten. They were as meaty as wings can be and perfectly cooked. Crispy and flavorful. Not the least bit greasy. I made sure I got the last possible morsel of edible meat from these wings. Give me six of these wings and I'll be a happy camper at dinner, no sides required! The atmosphere is picnic-table backyard casual. There was a breeze during our visit. Nice. Will return for some brisket and more wings! read more

Crowded and a little confusing when we got there. Had to wait in line to get a menu and to find out the ordering procedure - you order at the small counter/bar and then get a buzzer which goes off when your food is done. The brisket and the chicken were very good. Almost no place to sit, and once other people left the tables were left dirty - had to clear our own space. Probably if it was less busy our service experience would have been better. Defintely enjoyed the food. read more

Nice bbq/smoke place. The food is good. They have probably the best restaurant bought brisket I've had. Thankfully for me, without the bbq sauce, the brisket is sugar free. The menu is typical bar/bbq food. Sandwiches, fries, Mac and cheese. All good. The staff is fine. A lot of younger people, but they do a good job. It can be a little pricey. Their prices have risen as the cost of meat and food go up. Totally not their fault. Good food, good place, I'd say give them a try! read more
