I have been to this Office Depot for going on the last 3 years since moving in the vicinity. It has decent parking and easily located. Prices are reasonable too. However, I am going to discuss customer service and the lack thereof. First, getting someone on the phone these post-pandemic days is an obstacle at best. You have to go through the automated system and then on hold for what feels like an eternity. Earlier today I called to confirm that an item I was purchasing (need for a non-profit I am doing volunteer work with) was in stock and I could order it. I actually had 2 similar items I had him look up. The gentleman said they had 1 left of one item. The other they don't offer in stores and he thought it was weird that online still offered it. I had planned on curbside pickup while I was running errands. I thank him, we hang up and I put in the order. Then 2 minutes later (no joke) I receive an email stating the item isn't available. I'm like WHAT?!?! So I called back and spoke to a different gentleman and gave him the item number and sure enough, it is there. I explained the situation and he said that is weird. I should try again and he will bring it out to me. I said how about you fix your glitch in the system first? Now let me share this, I know banking rules and time frames. Even if it does get credited back to my account, it will take 2-3 business days. I said to the sales person 'you want me to purchase another one, using more funds and then wait for the refund you claim was already done but my bank doesn't show it yet?' I was irate. I will own it. FIX YOUR INVENTORY! IT SHOULD COMMUNICATE ACCURATELY WITH YOUR ONLINE STORE! As a business lady, this wasn't good business. I am glad there are other options in getting business supplies. There's nothing like being directed to the "self serve" fax machine. The lady at the print and copy center didn't seem to interested in helping me out and sending a simple fax for me. I hate stuff like this.Their self serve fax machine is confusing and hard to use so of course it took about 5 minutes and I was finished. If you work there and you're not busy what's so stinkin' hard about taking my papers and faxing them for me??" The manager came out and told me the product was sold out and I would get my refund in a week. So I drove out of my way and spent $150 to walk out with nothing. Went to buy a particular shredder. They have it on display. But, no. They don't sell that one. Can't order it. It's backordered. No idea when they'll get it. If we want it, they suggest we order it online. But, we'll have to pay shipping. Can't have it shipped to the store because they don't carry it even though it's one of their displays. QLess is NOT working at Office Depot!! If you want to use this system then you need to think through this process and put in place steps to make it effective. First, there are no clearly visible signs to let customers know that they should be registering electronically. One sign by the door is NOT adequate (OD2353). Secondly, I thought the objective was to eliminate the waiting in line? But if an announcement (one that can be heard anywhere in the store) is not made to notify me that it is my turn, then I end up standing in line anyway. read more

They like rigged up a packaging system that was awesome and it got there in perfect condition! They also worked with my completely insane time frame and print all my legal stuff for me. I only used their copy center. The staff was friendly and got my fairly small order processed about as fast as I could have reasonably asked. The store's overall appearance could really use a make-over. I noticed the tile in the main store was worn and a little dirty. It wasn't the "dirty" you could clean with a good scrubbing though. It was the "dirty" that's just old-worn-out dirty. Also, in the copy center, the carpeting near the counters was really worn out where people have come in and out and stood to pay. The counters themselves were old and out of date. The computers on the counter looked fairly new and up to date, which just added to the oldness of the counter. Great service, but the store has 175k miles on it. It works, sure, but man could it use a little TLC. read more

The two people behind the desk told me it would be a 4 day turnaround because they were backed up. It takes 37 seconds to laminate a sheet of paper. My husband and I had a terrible experience at the Office Depot in University Hills in Denver.#3362. We purchased HDMI cords for our TV connection and they didn't work. When we went to return them, it turned out that they gave me two of the same receipt rather than the correct receipt per item and insisted that I needed to get it reissued online. I followed their instructions and a week later, still no receipt. So I go back into the store and the manager says he can only give me $65 of the $100 spent. He could have cared less and didn't want to make it right. I have my bank debit charge for the original sale and will pursue it, but people you have choices and you don't need to put yourself through that kind of poor customer service read more

Worst copy/print center ever. Spoke with the employee on duty about combining 2 photos into one for a "small" attachment for emails. Sent photos for him to select from. Never acknowledged receiving them. Next day when I called, a lame employee said there was no way of contacting me - despite having both my phone number and email. Copy/Print center could not even understand the request, completely botched a simple job and then crapped out by saying "we usually don't do this." Total morons. Utter waste of time. Last year I went into this same location to purchase a Samsung tablet they advertised on line. There was No ONE who would even find it and no one to explain how it would work. Said they must have run out of the item. No one would even look it up on their site. Total dolts. They suggested "just order it, pay for it and figure it out when you get it." BeWaRe!!! -ranting - So, to start my rant, after recently moving here, I need to reprint my Contact Cards, Resume, Work Samples, and Portfolio (they all have my old address on them). Up in Fargo, ND- 3 different times throughout college- I had the Officemax there print all of these items out. In Fargo, they turned out wonderful, no problems, and I only had to wait 20-30 minutes for ALL of them each time!! HERE, DIFFERENT STORY. I originally went to the one on Alameda because it's closer to my place, they didn't have the right binding, so I drove 20-25 minutes to this one the next day. MISTAKE. First off, I had my resume and work samples printed, they cut off the top and bottom strip of color on them, but I didn't want to complain and figured no one would notice but me. Paid for those, and set up work order files for contact cards and a couple copies of my portfolio to be done the next day at 6pm. The next day, drove there again at 7:30pm.. hadn't even started because they were "too busy".. yet neither worker was helping anyone?? They said it could be done in 20 min, so I said I'd wait. First, they printed off the contact cards. I held them up to the light, and as I figured, no one had adjusted the bleed output. I told him to look at my work order files and that I specifically said to make sure to do this. He looked, saw it, and looked confused. I held the paper up to the light and showed him that the front and back did not line up.. He was like, "well, they look fine to me." I was like "ummm they are off, and by quite a bit.." He held it up again and was like "no, they are fine." I was like, "then you are blind!!!" I asked for the manager- he IMMEDIATELY saw what I was talking about and apologized. He wanted me to come back the next day.. TOMORROW?? I said no.. 3 days of driving 20-25 minutes both ways... that's 120-150minutes of driving for crappy service, I don't think so. I said I'd find somewhere else. On the way home, I saw a FedEx and decided to try it there. They had it printed CORRECTLY with the bleed output adjusted in 15minutes!!! --The whole situation at Officemax was so frustrating for me because I have my Master in Architecture, and throughout school I had printed hundreds of documents and adjusted bleed outputs.. but I dont have a color laser printer at home, and each printer is a little different, so I couldn't adjust it myself unless I hopped over the desk and did it there myself!! I was astounded that no one working at the time knew how to do it. FRUSTRATING. They probably shouldn't be working at a print shop then....!?!?! --Oh, and side story, while I was waiting for the store manager at OfficeMax Impress, the guy that was helping me, was helping some other guy print 4x6 flyers. He had 4 per sheet, and wanted 20 sheets- that would make 80 flyers. The guy went to go print them, came back and asked again.. he was like, so you want 80? That makes 320 total with the 4 per sheet? He was like NOOO and re-explained it. The guy repeated what the customer said correctly and went back to print. Came back and was like, I can only print 3 at a time.. so how many sheets do you want? I have 30 here.. the guy was like, well I need 20 sheets with 80 flyers total.. he went back to print them and then came up front to have the customer pay while they were printing.. he rang up 80SHEETS. The customer was like, no, I told you three times, I want 20 sheets!! The guy working was like, ohhh crap, and ran in back... Qustion : How did he EVER get hired here? read more

It's an Office Max. Seemed like it was mostly stocked, might have been a few stock items on the floor missing (mostly furniture), but nothing serious to complain about; I got my printer ink cartridge and checked out. Not the cheapest but the most hassle-free option at the moment for me. read more

The prints were well done. I feel frustrated that they told me it would be .09 cents per page, but that they DIDN'T tell me that it would be another .12 cents per side. So my order ended up being $37 instead of $9. Office max, please let your customers know in advance how much the order will be before we agree to it! read more

I went into this store looking to do 3 prints. They were telling me that this was going to take 30mins at least to do. There was 2 associates back there and it took 20 mins to greet me. I had a gentleman come by and greet me. He was pleasant, but the fact was I waited all this time and wasn't leaving with 3 pieces of paper. I went down to the office depot down the street and saw Chanell. She took care of me when I was already pissed off at the this store. First when OfficeMax merged with Office Depot and this location changed names, I was a little miffed about the enormous price increases on absolutely EVERYTHING! In particular the printing services practically doubled in price. But even worse is the HORRIBLE service in the print/copy center. They must be trained to ignore everyone who comes into the store and gets in line. I have seen it yesterday when I dropped off my job. Then again today when I came to pick up. There was only one other customer ahead of me when I got here, but the associate didn't even acknowledge my presence as I stood there for five minutes. After two other people came in behind me, she whispered into her headset "I need help up here." When I finally got someone to ask me how they could assist me, I told them I was just picking up a small job that I was told would be ready at 9am (this was at 9:40am) I was simply told, "it's not done." I told the person that I needed it for a presentation this morning. Also, I told the person yesterday that I absolutely needed it by 9 o'clock or else I would have to get it done someplace else. After being told this morning that it was not ready yet, I asked how long it would take to finish. The response I got was "I have other customers, so it will be at least an hour." I voiced my displeasure and told them that I had been promised that it would be ready by 9am, and eventually they finished it for me in 20 minutes. But that does not change the fact that I am over this place and will not be coming back. High prices, terrible customer service, and just plain not a good experience. Done. read more

The customer service at this store is awful. I came in to make a return. I had my receipt. When I made the purchases I explicitly asked about return policy. When I made the return, I was informed I could only receive store credit-not what I was told when I made the purchase. After speaking with an associate and two asst managers, they told me I could get store credit or get out. I was calm through the entire conversation, simply explaining what I had been told. The asst manager was belittling and rude. I now have over $300 of store credit to a store I would prefer to never shop again. read more
