This review is for Gina! I needed a large amount of photos printed out, and of course needed them the next day.. she told me that she was off in an hour but was going to try her best. It made me nervous because she didn't owe me anything. She called me an hour and a half after I left the store, and told me stayed longer to make sure my stuff got taken care of. I appreciated that so much, because she really didn't have to do any of that. You could tell she was busy taking care of many other things. I've always felt like the staff at this Office Depot go above and beyond to help resolve questions when I've needed assistance choosing between technical products. I've purchased a computer monitor, a printer, and a plethora of ink and paper there (not to mention all the other office supplies I need). When staff could not help me because the store did not carry the products I required, they even gave me directions to another retailer who did have what I needed. *Top notch service.* read more

Office Depressing. The store is small and has a very limited stock. The 'we don't stock that' is a standard reply. The staff use a form of 'shirt and ear-bud' phone system which is laughable. Why not just lean over and talk to the person in the next isle ! The whole experience is comical at best. The good side is; their printing department is fairly good and the staff inside their box are in a different world. The bad side is; the store is staffed with people who are hard to employe types, who could care less. The total for this store, a lowly 1 star and perhaps this is generous. !!! read more

A year ago, I would have given this place 5 stars, but recently people have been giving horrible service. Today was no exception, and I finally decided to write a review. I went to purchase some necessary school supplies and found they had a sale on very good notebooks for only 3 bucks, originally 6.50. When the cashier ringed me up, they came out original price so I told him they were on sale for 3 dollars. He said to me, they rang as 6.50 so they're not on sale, do you want to return them? ....uhhh, no I don't. I want the advertised sale price. I was upset that he did not even look into the situation and obviously did not care at all that I got good service, or that I got what I needed, nor did he check on the price. I went back to look at the price on the shelf myself, because this guy was obviously useless. They were being advertised as 3$....however, the promotion ended last week. Is it my fault they did not change the sign last week? the big numbers say 3 dollars and the fine print says the valid days for the sale....well, I returned them and I told the cashier they are being advertised as 3$ but the sale ended last week, he gave me a refund and said nothing except "thanks" when he gave me my refund receipt. I felt like they did not care at all about my business and so I will take my business elsewhere. Totally not going back, I'd rather go across the plaza to CVS. read more

I have to join Bonnie S. in giving this location 4 stars. The big drawback to this store is navigating the cramped & busy parking lot and finding a parking space. Whether buying or returning an item, the staff has been nothing but pleasant and helpful every time I've shopped there and even when I've called. ( Not to dismiss the other negative reviews, but there are rude, ignorant salespeople everywhere.) However, I don't understand the pricing sometimes. For example with printer ink; a black & color combo pack cost $8.01 MORE than buying the black & color cartridges separately! Explain that one! read more

I went to this store to replace my iPhone 6Plus broken screen. They fixed it for about $180 and all seemed fine for a while (a week). Almost immediately my microphone went out and then the screen stopped swiping. I called them back was left on hold for over 10 min. When I told them what happened I was told by the manager he would call me back. NEVER DID. Anyway, I took it to Apple (Santa Monica) and they replaced the whole phone for 150 in about 20 min. I will never go to these outside places again. They do not use Apple parts! read more

This is definitely the best Office Depot in the South Bay. Called on Black Friday and phone was answered on the first ring!! By a Real Human Being!!! (I am figuratively crying tears of disbelief and happiness T_T) Riz and Nick were especially awesome and made every attempt to help me, I saw a chair online and the price was matched. There were a few other things I did that were a little different because of the online Black Friday sale but these folks made everything work quickly and efficiently. I had my wedding invitations printed here when initially approaching the printing center no one greeted us and we waited for a while until someone finally saw how long we have been standing there they all "looked" so busy. Now fast forward to yesterday because we were in the area this time it was to find envelopes we did not see the size we were looking for on the aisle so we went back to the printing area since the lady who helped us asked if we would need envelopes for them so we just thought why not go ask them again and just have the names printed on them here if they do have them. We get to the counter there are 3 people there one lady is literally complaining to another lady about WHY the guy there has not gone to lunch yet because she needs to go home and she is not staying late because this guy has not taken his lunch and its not her problem. We stood there watching these people go back and forth about the guy to take his lunch and how the guy messed up on printing something the exact same lady goes oh who cares those people aren't here just do them over. We never got any help we just walked out i would never return to this place again POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

In my opinion, this store has gotten a bad rap. I go there often and they have been very courteous. The store manager helped me when I had some computer issues and needed cables, etc. It is a small store, but packed with things and frankly, I can get in and out quickly. I have called them and they answer promptly. It is not like the super store in Long Beach but it is an Office Depot! I don't usually write things, but when I see really bad ratings I think it is important to express my opinion since I think sometimes people gravitate to the negative. IF they closed the doors early in 2009, then hopefully they have fixed that issue. For the size of the store, they have a large quantity of items. Again, I have had no issues shopping there for the past 2 years and they have been delightful to work with when I have had questions and also, some returns of parts that I purchased incorrectly! Walked in to buy shipping supplies, was greeted at the door and was asked if I needed help, I said no Thank You and started looking around as I headed toward the shipping supplies. Every where I went, I had a tail, my wife was behind me and overheard (the person who greeted and started following me) say in to his radio: "The Gentleman refused assistance", we wound up at the copy center, of course my tail was still on me, this time he was close enough to me and I heard him say into the radio: " The Gentleman is at the copy center" at this point another employee joined the chase and asked me again if i needed help. I told him no thank you and headed to the register. I couldnt believe what was happening. I wanted to put my Items down and leave the store but my wife said lets just get them so we dont have to make another stop. I agreed because it was about 98 outside. This store is horrible. This is my first review on yelp. I had to write a review because I don't think this store deserves anyone's business. About a year ago, I was looking for printer cartridge. I told the guy working there the model # of my printer and he told me which cartridge to get. I asked "are you sure this is the one for my printer?" "Yes i'm sure." So I go home to try it and the cartridge doesn't even fit in my printer. I take the cartridge back for a refund and they say "sorry, no refunds on open printer cartridges." I tell them "but your worker told me for SURE that this is the right printer ink." They tell me too bad. Really? Because your workers give the customers the wrong information, we have to pay for it? After arguing for half hour, they gave me a PARTIAL refund. Then last night I bought a software. I have a new imac and I know that not all software works with the newest version of Macs. I asked the guy "if it's not compatible with my new imac, what's the return policy?" He said just bring it in and we'll give you a full refund. I asked again: "so if I open it, try it, and it doesn't work, I can bring it back and get all my money back?" YES, he said. Just bring it in with your receipt and you'll get a full refund even if you open it. Ok, so I tried it this morning, and it doesn't work with the newest imacs. I go to the store for a refund and they tell me "you can only exchange it for the same software." Well obviously I don't want the same software if it's not compatible with my computer. "Sorry, the back of the receipt has the return policy." Yes, but i asked what the return policy was BEFORE i bought the software. That way i could avoid this potential situation. I told them that one of their employees told me i could return it for a full refund. "What was his name?" I told them i don't know his name. A young guy who greets people as you walk in, worked at about 6:30pm last night. "well i don't know why he would tell you that. That's not our return policy." So 2 bad customer service experiences in a year. That's 2 for 2. 100% bad experiences at this store. Not going in anymore. If they listened to people's concerns and trained their employees properly, they'd make a lot more money. They deserve to fail. I'm out $60 with nothing to show for it except aggravation. read more

Zero stars is what I give this store. I was in the store about an hour ago and 3 employees past me while I was trying to get help and at that point I went to the check stand. The woman was so incredibly rude, I asked for help from her and she said read the signs it's over there somewhere and then continued talking to her coworker as if I was not there. As I read the signs, I needed help finding my item on the aisle and another employee was walking towards me and put his head down and completely ignored me. I then went back to the counter and she mumbled something to her co worker and when I said I couldn't find it she said its right over there! This was an unbelievable response to the request for help. I ended up walking out. I have never been treated with such disrespect at any store. I will no longer purchase anything from this store and Office Depot in general. I own a restaurant in Torrance and frequently make supply orders from Office Depot. You have definitely lost me as a customer along with anyone else I can share this with. It unfortunate now a days where employees are just there to collect a paycheck they do not deserve. It must be incredibly frustrating for the owners knowing that every dollar the lose is because of their incompetent staff. read more
