Stephanie had to deal with my mom and her not knowing passwords etc. she spent an hour trying to help us. Patient as could be. Tried to do everything she could to help my mom. I believe outside of her professional responsibilities. Very kind. I would recommend her specifically and Verizon because of her exceptional customer service skills. I left Verizon a while ago because of issues. I will tell you after sitting with her for over an hour and seeing her genuine concern and wanting to help I just might switch over. I ordered Verizon 5G home internet with a two-hour pickup promise, but as closing time approached and it wasn't ready, I called customer service. When I mentioned bundling a phone plan, they promised the store would help that same day. In-store, the first worker was helpful, and we set up the bundle--but they refused my Chime card or cash, insisting on a national bank. I then opened a new bank account and came back the next week. The second worker made me uneasy, and I overheard them doubting me in the back. Even with my new bank and a credit card, they refused again. Despite being fully verified and a veteran, they didn't trust me. After all this effort, I felt discriminated against and left extremely frustrated. read more

I had to visit this store in person because Verizon will not let me cancel my service over the phone. The first time I visited, the place was jam packed and two employees were obviously overwhelmed. On my second visit, the employee told me they couldn't help me because Verizon internet service was down in the area. On my third visit, two employees were assisting one customer, but didn't even acknowledge my presence as I stood waiting for several minutes. I called the company for assistance and spoke with a representative for about 25 minutes, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved and I ended the call feeling disappointed. I then visited a nearby Verizon store, where I met Allen--a very kind and knowledgeable person who helped me tremendously. In just five minutes, he was able to complete the data transfer smoothly. A few years ago, after learning the Torrance store did not have iPads in stock, I came to my local San Pedro store. They were extremely helpful and I got the IPad I was looking for. I decided this would by my store from then on, although it is only 1/4 the size of the Torrance store. Last week I went in to see if I could upgrade my 3-year old IPhone with a broken screen and get a new Apple Watch as mine hade just broken. Jesus helped me and got me a $1000 credit for trading in my phone. And I'm getting a free Apple Watch to boot. I called my wife and she is also getting the same $1,000 to up grade her phone and she's also getting a new watch for free. Granted, I was required to upgrade my plan to get these deals. However, I was shown that the upgraded plan is only $2 more per month than my old plan. And it's a much, much better plan for us. It has more features, including international calling that would cost $100 per month extra on my old plan. Thanks Jesus and everyone else there. Outstanding service. read more

This place committed outright fraud. They lied to me to get me to upgrade my phone. They said that I would only need to pay $5 more per month, but the new plan they put me in was $35 more per month. They also enrolled me in a $20 per month protection plan that I never agreed to. At the store, they tried to pressure sell me into buying accessories that are 5x or more the price you see on Amazon. My wife had a bad experience with this store too. I strongly recommend you stay away. read more

My Samsung S10 died on Tuesday, Nov 29, 2022. I tried everything to reboot, but unsuccessful. The next day, I drove to this location, and Henry was very patient with me and knowledgeable about the phones and plans. Picked up the S22 Ultra and he did the setup and everything. First bill $116 .... after talking and explaining got some credit and they brought it down, mentioning from next bill it's going to be okay... Ordered a phone via the Verizon app for curbside pickup at this location. I received an email confirmation from Verizon that the phone would be ready for pickup. A couple hours later when I arrived to the store I checked in as directed on their signage and waited for 20 minutes. Employees were coming in out of the store none to ask what I was waiting for. I finally went into the store and they gave an excuse that they had not received my check in. I then had to wait for them to attend to other customers that had arrived while I had been waiting in the car. When they finally got to me, the excuse they gave me for not being ready was that Verizon had not properly communicated that they would reach out when the phone was available even though their email clearly stated it was available for curbside. They then had to ask for all pin code and ID even though the email said they only required a government ID. Again they said that Verizon poorly communicated what was required to pick up. A simple pickup of an item I ordered online took over a half hour to get. Especially during these times, when curbside is more than just convenience, it is a shame that I had to go into the store to be attended to. read more

My less than one year old phone got screwed up by one of Verizon's phone updates. I brought to my local Verizon store and the manager confirmed that the phone could not be fixed. I asked for a replacement since I have insurance, and he proclaimed that it will take four days. But, of course, he was quick to offer to get me into a new phone. He messed around with my fees, data plans, etc., and claimed that my lower monthly bill would definitely end up saving my money. (Please remember that all of these people working in these Verizon stores are working on sales commissions so they are VERY MOTIVATED to get you into a new phone) I was desperate to have a phone and not wait 4+ days so I agreed. They charged me another $165+ which includes their "Set Up and Go Plus" charge for $20 for their interns to hit a few buttons (even I can do that). When I got home I called the store back and asked them if they had made arrangements for the replacement phone to still be delivered so I could give that to my wife. I figured they had done that since they offered no help while was in the store. I figured wrong. The manager said "no, you need to call 611 for all Verizon issues". So, on Saturday morning I called 611 and answered a whole bunch of questions from a robot. Eventually, I was able to talk to a human (thank God) who said "you called the wrong number". That was 1.5 hours of my life I'll never have back. Thank San Pedro manager for leading down this rat hole. So, the next call was to a very helpful and polite phone tech who said that he could have the phone out to us the "next day" not four days. He said he was surprised that the Verizon store manager would say that to me. He looked at my plan and asked why my data plan was cut in half. I told him that's what the Verizon store manager did to make his sale. The phone rep said that is ridiculous and within minutes had reset my previous account settings and had my replacement phone back ordered. The phone arrived Monday so I brought it back that evening. Only the original salesperson was there. The first thing out of her mouth was "there will be a $35 restocking fee and another $20 to help you set up the replacement phone". I was pissed since it was their misinformation that led me through all of this hassle in the first place. I couldn't believe it. I would have thought she would have been apologetic and eager to help me fix their mess. Nope. So, I left the store last night having paid $35 for the restocking fee, no apology, and the old/new phone. I was able to follow the very easy, on-screen instructions, and my replacement phone is up and running today. I call Verizon's customer support who apologized for my experience and gave me a refund on the restocking fee. I asked that they convey the message to the store and the Verizon customer service rep said they probably won't care. So, here's the bottom line with this store. When you go in there they are looking to do one thing "get you out of that phone you brought in and get you into a brand new phone with a shiny new, long term contract". And, along with that, they get a shiny new commission check. All of you in this store should be thanking the Verizon engineers for really having the best cell service network and the Verizon customer service representatives who clean up your messes every day. This is an independent store, and corporate Verizon washes their hands of Victra Verizon's unethical practices. In October 2021, I purchased three new IPhone 13s, and one new IPAD, based on the incredible trade-in offers presented in writing by Daniel. The process was satisfactory until I received a bill that included a $400 addition to my January 2022 bill. I called Verizon billing and learned that we were incorrectly quoted trade-in amounts on two devices. So, the trade-in quote from Victra was incorrect. They told me there is nothing Corporate Verizon can do and only Victra (as an independent store) can correct the overcharge. I called Daniel and he denied the error and proceeded to talk in circles about an "organic" trade-in and how our bill was lower in November and December and this was expected and corporate Verizon was wrong. He said he would call me on 2/2/2022 to see if our February bill was lower!!! I again called Corporate Verizon and they have never heard of an "organic" anything and confirmed that the $400 extra charge was Victra's error that they should refund me. In Summary: Daniel at Victra quoted trade-in amounts on my husband's phone and my iPad as $200 higher than Corporate Verizon allowed! I always try to support local businesses, but this is one business that proved to be unethical! I hope this review saves someone else from losing $400. Attached is a letter I sent to Daniel. On 10/07/2020 I walked into Verizon, only to be treated terribly. Stephen was the employee in the office at the time, assisting another customer. Upon my arrival Stephen failed to acknowledge my presence. He did not advise me that he would assist me once done with the couple he was helping. He ignored me. As I was waiting a different customer, caucasian male, entered into the store. Immediately Stephen greeted him, informing him that he would be right with him. I stood in disbelief. Stephen not only Acknowledged the customer, he began to ask him how could he assist him. I then stepped in and said to Stephen that I was here before him. Stephen replied to me by saying that what this customer needs is simple while what I need may take time. I said to Stephen how would you know what my needs are if you didn't ask me. Stephen was rude and discriminatory. He asked me why am I coming into the San Pedro store to do get assistance. He proceeded to tell me I should go to a different store, since I don't live in the area. He then refused to help me without me paying him 20 dollars in advance to assist me. He never asked me for my mobile number to pull me up in the system. He blatantly did not want to assist me due to the color of my skin. After being mortified. I asked Stephen for corporates number, he stated, he did not have the number. After waiting for over an hour I left the Verizon store feeling helpless. It wasn't until I walked out of the store to discover that there was another women of color who just experienced the same discrimination from Stephen minutes before I walked into the store. I am seeking to verbally speak to the owner and corporate office in regards to my experience. This place literally lied about everything. We switched to Verizon from Sprint and rotating sales person Melvin took our phones to mail them back to Sprint. About a month later we get a $1000 bill from Sprint for the phones Melvin told us he had mailed back. We call the Verizon store to see what happened and they can't answer any questions. They can't even find the phones in the store! Now if Verizon doesn't have our phones and Sprint doesn't have our phones it's sounds a whole lot like Melvin pocketed them. Melvin also told us he could get our monthly bill down below $200. Our first bill came and it was over $300. What in the world did we sign a contract for if there's extra monthly fees that aren't disclosed?? We are still finding out things Melvin lied to us about. My husband purchased Apple Care, it is in our contract, and we are being billed for it. Today we called to get one of our phones fixed and it's not registered with Apple Care. They say neither phone is. It's gonna cost $800 to fix the phone without Apple Care. What are we paying for here?? These sales people completely lied to us, and are ending up costing us thousands of dollars! I will be reporting them to the BBB. read more

In September 2021 my wife and I came to this store to upgrade my wife's iPhone 6s Plus to the new IPhone 13 Pro. We were quoted to get a monthly credit with the iphone trade in. They told us the credit would start to be applied in 3 months. As of this month there is still no credit being applied to my wife's phone plan. After reading many other reviews for this location, I can see this location likes to scam their customers by giving them false quotes and then having them sign a plan to get locked in. I will be calling their corporate office to hopefully get this resolved, but this location needs a training in ethics and how to do proper business transactions. read more
