I cancelled an order in store. The money at the time was only soft posted. It did not fall off and it hard posted to my account. I called customer service and spoke to Gladis, Katherine, and Annabelle. None of which were helpful. Office Depot has my money and will not issue a refund. Simply telling me to go to my bank and dispute the charge. What an absolute runaround for something they need to send back on their end. And Katherine hung up on me when she came back from putting me on hold. Absolutely awful customer service. read more

Will in the Printing Center went above and beyond to make our last minute printing job a success. He went out of his way to jump on the project immediately and stayed in communication with us on how we could make it better. 3rd time in less than a year I've tried to order something from this store and they say they have it in stock. Then an hour later I get a text saying that they don't have it after they have already charged my card. The clerk said it was a hold. But either way, that money is not accessible in my account. I asked if I could pick it up from another store and was told that I would have to pay again. To make it even worse, they were extremely rude and took no responsibility for not having THIER inventory accurate. Never shopping at Office Depot again. I will buy online and wait if I have to. I would never return to this business as their customer service is atrocious. Will an employee was a rude and total failure at Customer service, when asked for help ,was condescending and very unprofessional, with a response "use this email it will tell you how to do it." Pointing to a sign? Then walking away. As to dismiss my question and make me feel as if I was bothering him. He was doing nothing but talking to another employee.Is that customer service protocol for this company?I'm sure the district manager would feel differently. Came here today to print some stuff off. Sent a file at 9 am, order was ready by noon. Came out to about 8 cents a copy for 800 pages. Great deal! Check there website I scored a 20% off coupon as well. Items were neatly packaged upon my arrival. Overall awesome experience read more

This was the best in store experience I had in ages. I went in to look at an office chair. The staff was extremely pleasant. The store manager Todd was unbelievably helpful. Really pleasantly surprised. I have a Staples near me. The store manager is so surly. She's too stuck up to answer your questions. I will be shopping again at OfficeMax soon. read more

I thought this was a pretty decent-sized Office Max with a lot of supplies/stock, very spacious, clean, and not too crowded. It's part of a plaza mall that has a huge - essentially endless - parking and is near a smattering of other similar style stores too (and some other nice places like a theater). The staff were very friendly and helpful. read more

Dropped off two posters to get laminated and I come back the next day, near 24 hours later and they haven't done them yet. I had to wait to get them done and was told it would only be "a couple of minutes" which was actually 15 minutes. Interesting that it took a whole day to do what is supposed to be a same day service. My daughter went into the store to return a planner I purchased. They did not give me a receipt upon purchasing so I had her take my card to ask if they could look it up. Instead she was accused of stealing. She came home embarrassed and distraught. To have an adult come right out and say "you just took this didn't you?" And when we went to the store to get an apology (which he did) the "manager" there was just as rude and had no interest in making the situation better. Foregoing even standing there for the apology and leaving it to someone else. The horrendous customer service and lack of respect at that place is astounding. I won't be back ever. read more

I called ahead as I needed to bind one of my books. They stated that it would take 10 minutes to complete the tasks and so I rushed to the store- as I needed it done before the next day. I arrived at the store and the guy behind the print counter said they had no guarantee that I could get my 50 page book bound before the end of the day and that he did not know who I talked to but that he was too busy to do the job. (Amazing how no other projects were being bound, printed or copied at this time). I left upset and traveled to Office Depot near the mall and they bound it for $4 a book and took about 5 minutes to complete the job. I know where I will go next time. read more

For the second day in a row, I have called this store to see if they had what I needed. Due to a recent injury strolling around the store is not an option. On day one, a lovely young many and I discussed wireless keyboards and mice. He finished the call by promising to bring three up to the register for me to choose from when I got there. I got there, I chose, I paid and a lovely lady carried my bundle to the care. She was delightful along with being helpful. Today I called the store to see how I could attack my 19" LED t.v. to my laptop so I could have a bigger screen to accommodate my vision. Another lovely young man spent the time with me on the phone so I could actually count how many pinholes were in the ports on the t.v. and the laptop. (If you had my luck you'd understand why I had to count.) The young many brought the cable to the front register, my husbands' name on it, and this project will be finished this evening. This kind of knowledge, pleasantness and service can't get any better. I have used this store in the past and have always been more than satisfied with their products, service, professionalisms and cheerful demeanor. It's a great place to shop, especially when you don't want to walk "miles" through a big box store to try to find what you need. Nothing more simple than putting a binder on a couple sheets of paper. Took it to OfficeMax because it was close to my location. The guy says, "you have to leave it with me". Really?? Staples employees have never told me that. He could have done it in the time it took us to have the actual conversation about why he couldn't do it. read more
