it's really interesting that the self-serve printers have a sign that says to help yourself to anything you may need in "customer supplies", that should include paper, but one can only assume. so when the printer says "fill tray 3 with more paper" and you go to find "customer supplies", find tray 3, open it, and THEN the white girl behind the counter very rudely says, "is there something that you need? well tell us next time". her message sure got through to me but let's change the tone next time!! just a heads up read more

I was there 12/16 just wanting some copies made. I've used their self serve before, but it was out of order so I went to their desk and asked them to make 1 set of copies of only about 30 pages. I was told it would be hours and if there was any identifying information on it they couldn't copy it. There was a name on it and most likely a phone #. So, I left and went to FedEx. They were very helpful. No attitude at all. I felt like Office Max was only interested in business accounts. That's only my impression, but why else treat a customer like that. read more

The managerSSS at this location are EXTREMELY rude. I had went in there for simple printing and as it was close to closing time and I was bothering the woman that was in the office, people on TikTok to pass the time until she could shut the doors...she refused to print "so late." I told her "ok! I'll come back in the morning, thank you." She stood there and said nothing...NOTHING. If Covid taught us anything is that retail folks really have lost touch with what customer service is. A simple, "hey, we've closed the print center for the night, email us a copy and we can have it ready for you first thing" would have been sufficient. Followed by "have a goodnight." I went to OfficeMax at about 3:40 p.m. to get 12 copies made . Two were regular 8x10s and two were very long ones . There was absolutely no one in the store but me and two other customers in the entire store . Eric told me that I'd have to come back for the large ones because it would take a long time to copy them . I knew better I had been there before to have copies made of that same size. So I just politely said that's okay I'll wait and he stood at his computer for I swear at least 15 to 20 minutes I thought he was working but it looked like when I could see the screen he was playing some kind of a game . It took him that long to ring up a receipt for me. And he told me I could pay it I told him I'll pay it after I have my copies . Like a normal person. He had to put paper in the large copier and he was running the copies one at a time instead of five at a time . I had two large sheets I needed five copies of each one and that took him at least 20 minutes . In the middle of working on that he left to take care of another customer I was quite angry by this point . Another two customers came up even though there was a young girl and a young boy and this Eric was a young boy there to handle the other customers and that time I interjected and said he's supposed to be helping me . He turned around and went back to work on my copies . By the time it got done I had been there an hour ! To get a copy of two 8x10 sheets and five copies of the large sheets I had and I had two sheets of 12 copies all together took me over an hour . There was no one in the store working or customers and this is Monday afternoon ! That storm must be closing . It needs to close whoever's managing it is terrible to have these kids that look like they're all in high school running the whole store . I have used the print department numerous times to bind notebooks for our homeschool that I have purchased and printed myself. This time my order was bound incorrectly and the store called to explain the situation. Without being asked, the store manager then proceeded to purchase the digital file himself so they could reprint and rebind according to how I wanted. That was not a cheap digital file. When I went to pick up the order they did not charge me for the binding either. This is top notch customer service which is extremely hard to find these days! Use the print department!!! read more

Once again this OfficeMax is the WORST AT customer service! I walk in and there is NO ONE else at the print center so I ask the guy behind the counter if he can print out two prints for me and he tells me two hours! Now I would understand if it was big order but I know from Experience that it literally takes two minutes to pull the email up and to hit the print tab! So I ask to speak with the manager and he tells me the same thing that they have all these big orders. So what your telling me is the two copies need to wait behind the orders of hundreds! I generally come here for their fax or copy service, but if I am wondering the store in need of something else the staff is always very helpful and friendly in helping me locate what I need. They are also great in helping with any questions I may have. The store is very clean and well organized. Like I said I generally use the fax/copy service and give a huge thumbs up to this portion of the store. The employees who work in this area are always very helpful. They quickly assist you and take care of any needs so you do not have long waits. They are always exceptionally friendly. read more

Mention of being a FedEx shipper yet they do not have any fedex shipping supplies. Was told to go to the entrance to the fedex box and look there for supplies. Nothing but labels. Very disappointing. They have really went downhill since the merger with Office Depot. read more

I was in another Office Max location and they sent me over to this store in Olathe to complete my order. They had called ahead to make sure that my item was in stock at their store. When I got there, I was helped by Rick, who I believe is a manager there, he went out of his way to help me out. It's rare to get customer service like I did from this young man. I don't live anywhere near this store, but if I ever have any needs, I will gladly drive all the way out there because of the level of service I received. They couldn't ever seem to follow up as promised or get our printing orders correct (part of the problem is due to too much staff turn over). We'd place an order and 2 weeks would go by with no contact, only for us to call and have them state they had no record of our order. Was put off that when the manager became involved she didn't bother to apologize or seem to care. read more
