Offshore Construction replaced all the windows in our house. When my wife and I decided to have our windows replaced in our home, we sought out many companies and contractors to get quotes. The quotes were kind of all over the place, so at first making a decision was a bit overwhelming, that is until I went on Anlin's website (window manufacturer) and they referred us to Offshore Construction. I called and spoke to Ben (owner) and was pleasantly surprised I didn't get that used car salesman kind of guy on the phone. Ben was very down to earth and upfront. He came out gave us a very competitive quote we felt confident Ben @ Offshore was the one. When ordering he was very informative on types of windows, frames, and hardware. Estimated lead time was perfect. Day of installation Ben's crew showed up. I was explained exactly what they were going to do, as well as explained as they were going along what was happening. Extremely comfortable crew, very trustworthy, I would not have hesitated for one moment to leave them all here if I had to go run errands, to me that's a big plus. His crew was professional, respectful and just plain nice guys. Everything was top notch, the windows are quality, the full double life warranty is amazing, and if I had to do all over again I would 100% use Offshore Construction again. They came out several weeks ago to give us a very informative presentation on their products and had some different options for windows. We went with their recommendation of casement windows in some locations in our house and are so glad that we did. When installation day came, they were super professional and efficient. The crew of 5 replaced all 29 windows and two doors in our house in one day! They returned the next day to finish interior trim and quality control, but the entire replacement process took two days. We got bids from several companies and found Offshore to be very competitive. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. For the product, installation, and customer service that we received, we got a very good deal. My son and his wife needed to replace some single pane windows in their 1979 home, and I asked my neighbor who he used. Without hesitation, he suggested Ben at Offshore Windows, as Ben had replaced windows for him in his two houses. So my son called, and immediately got an appointment for Ben (and Becky) to come out and take measurements and provide a quote (he had called Anderson Windows and they quoted him about $36k for nine windows which was ridiculous!). My son wanted me to be there when Ben came, and upon seeing the demonstration for the Anlin windows, I mentioned to Ben we are interested for our 1994 home as well. His comment was "well, let's go measure"! So we did. Bottom line was he quoted us a fantastic price for our 15 windows (two of them double french doors which were actually very pricey), and we were astounded. Both my son and us signed up to get things going, and the leadtime for the custom windows was about 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, Ben called and scheduled the install, which was about 4 days after my son's install. I met the crew over his house that actually did our house as well, and I was very impressed. Elijah, the foreman, was an absolutely joy to work with, as well as the other two guys. In about 1 1/2 days, they were done, and we are still very impressed with the job. The Anlin windows we got were the dual pane, low-e, an upgraded thermal coating, and the difference as to keeping the heat out of the house is very surprising. I was, however, a bit disappointed in the french doors only because the latching mechanism, which is very good with it's 3-latch lock, but won't accept the keyless entry Schlage deadbolts that we had before. And if you want screens, really the only option is to go with the retractable (disappearing) screens which were outrageous in price ($2600 for two sets). But they are gorgeous doors, and are doing a great job keeping the heat out and the cool in. We did look at sliders like my son did, but we wanted to retain the look of french doors. I would recommend Ben and his crew hands down for your home re-window job. He's a great person and very easy to work with. (BTW, my son feels the exact same way!) read more

We recently used offshore to change our windows. They are great looking and quality. The french doors look amazing in our kitchen. I am so glad we went that route. We changed the front window from 1 med and 2 odd skinny ones to one bigger one and I loveee it. They did great matching the interior wall texture where the old windows were lower. You'd never know the window wasn't always like that. We had it painted right after, hence the color change. World class painted our house and they all did a great, thorough job. We replaced 27 windows and 1 door. This company was outstanding to work with. Unlike some companies I met with, Offshore Construction could do the whole job. Some companies did not want to do the enlargement. We enlarged 3 windows and replaced a door and two fixed windows with a slider. They gave me a few great ideas to help reduce my overall window costs. They were very professional, fast, showed up on time, measured accurately, and cleaned up everyday. The installation team was well-trained and pleasant to have around. It was an effortless process. By the time they were done we felt like we have a new house! read more

This guy is a con artist. Everything about him and how he does business is a lie. Especially this months later reply to my review. He should be happy we haven't sued him. If your smart don't do business with this or his other company. Look up the cslb license for this company and you can see where they have other licenses so you want deal with them either. The company is OCWD Inc. located in Capistrano Beach(Lic 989831). The main thing he's not disputing his that his subpar work caused the damage. His whole come back is to try and make me look like the con man. It makes him look even worse. I hope that my review and this update continues to cost you business because you don't deserve to do trash work and get paid for it. Also his whole crew looks like a bunch people you don't want at your house. Probably why the work was trash. Also they didn't find him not at fault. The statue of limitations ran out. You have so long to file a claim after a job is done for you to have standing. I can post the cslb letter saying so. I kept it because I can still sue this con man in civil court. It hasn't been a year yet Mr. Ben so be careful. Your not out of the woods yet. I get 365 calendar day from the day I contacted you.He's an all around liar saying he was found not at fault. When we bought our home last year, the windows didn't stand a chance against the snow and the cold. After winter ended all we wanted were fancy windows. Then we got the dog. Our dog has separation anxiety, so she turns into destructo doggy and took out our poor defenseless windows. So when we met Ben, there was zero hesitation. He didn't need to do a sales pitch, we wanted new windows. Although, the sales pitch was pretty awesome. He showed us all the examples and explained in detail about how great the windows are, plus the huge seller was the lifetime warranty! When the gents came to install the windows, I was like a kid on Christmas! I'm so stoked on my beautiful 3 pane windows with the security lock. No big deal, but I don't hear the lovely noises of our neighbors "pet" farm animals or loud cars passing by as though we were standing outside our home. The install was quick, it was done before my boyfriend was done at work. The windows are better than I thought it would be, especially the bathroom window. No one can see in with it closed or open! (Old bathroom window was awful.) I can't wait for snow now, and of course for my pretty dog to try and destroy our durable windows. Thanks Troy and Elijah for installing the windows. Ben and Lee made several visits to the house from the time they came to tell me about the windows to getting them installed. After a delay in the shipping of the windows (major snow storm stopped all shipping), they were installed. Ben and Lee oversaw the installation and clean up of the installation. The guys installing the windows were quick and clean. Since the installation, my house is cleaner (I live in a windy area), its quieter and the windows and sliders open and close easily. I'm happy with my decision to go with Ben and Lee of Offshore Construction. read more

I do not recommend this company. We got our windows & sliding glass doors from Offshore in July 2015 and it was an awful experience. The window installation was fine, no problems there but there were several issues with the installation of our sliding glass doors. The sales person, Nathaniel, who was nice and great in person (good sales guy), did not deliver the promised manufacturer for our sliding glass doors. I requested the more expensive manufacturer and received the less expensive one. I spoke with the owner Ben, who was also nice but did not take responsibility on delivering a different manufacturer than I ordered. I told Nathaniel in person what manufacturer I wanted, told Ben over the phone and identified the manufacturer I wanted on my order form. Somehow, it was still not clear to them. It was a huge disappointment to realize it wasn't the manufacturer I wanted because it was noticed right after the installation. Offshore didn't tell me that the manufacturer was different than I expected and probably never would have. I only realized it was different because the sliding glass doors looked inexpensive which was different from the look of the windows. When I searched for the manufacturer name on the doors (like it is shown on my windows), there wasn't any brand name. Also, the doors were scuffed and scratched and dirty. They also had mechanical errors and were installed lopsided. Ben came out to assist with the errors and in ordering new parts but he did not fix them. The guy who installed our windows and doors quit, so Ben handed us off to the manufacturer to complete the job. We were obviously very disappointed in this as we paid Offshore to do the job, not the manufacturer. Although Ben was friendly, it did not & does not make up for the "bait and switch" I felt when they delivered the wrong product/manufacturer. When I asked to get the correct manufacturer that I paid for, I was told that they don't make the model I want. The project from start to finish ended up taking at least a month longer than expected. Part of the reason I went with Offshore was because they promised a quick installation time and specific date. It has been a year now and we are having more mechanical issues with our sliding glass doors. We contacted Ben and he referred us to the manufacturer for assistance. Windows are Simonton Sliding glass doors are NuImage Overall, they oversold and under delivered. Beware of what they are installing. Dealing with Offshore was an awful experience. read more

Nathaniel, was a good sales person. Unfortunately, Randy, who put in the windows was not living up to what we were promised. Seems they tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sell... 2 out of the 8 windows were ordered wrong (patio door opened on wrong side, bathroom window had no privacy glass). Nathaniel's excuse was that out of the hundreds of windows they ordered at a time, a few mistakes are normal. The window/patio door was reordered. A month later they were going to finish the job. Ben called me in the morning off to tell me that the door arrived with cracked glass, they needed to reorder it. Two weeks after that, they came by to complete the work. This time the bathroom window was cracked. They have to come back again. We are still waiting for the job to be completed. In the process of installing the windows, they so far damaged drywall on two places which we had to fix on our own, we had to touch up walls with paint (because of the dirty handprints and sloppy caulking job) we were promised that the stucco would be finished to a degree where we could paint it, but we now have to do stucco repair on our own (they left us a tub of stucco). Randy said he did not want to spend all day doing stucco work as this was not his job. He said that he was not a stucco expert. The funny thing is that he gave me instructions on how to use the stucco paste and what putty knife to use... I also have to apply caulking to many areas that they left out. The main problem, besides their sloppy work is that there is a disconnect between the sales people and the workers that do the job. You get promised something that the installers are not willing to do. They tried hard to get a payment out of me for the outstanding balance and said that it was not fair if I didn't pay them since the job was "almost" completed. They said that I am too picky. Apparently, customers of Offshore Construction have to live with a few damages to their house that happen during the window replacement. It is being considered too picky to ask them to fix what they damaged and to finish what has not been completed. Overall, I am very disappointed with everything that had to do with Offshore Construction and I would never work with them again not recommend them to anyone. They are friends to talk to, but they lack in professionalism and customer service. Pride in craftsmanship can't be found with them. That being said, we are happy with the windows (Simonton) and would recommend the window company. Just make sure you stay away from Offshore Construction. I have plenty of pictures of the job and what went wrong along the way. Contact me if you need more information. Today, they (Ben and Lee) came back to finally replace the broken window panel. They did not fix the things that they initially said that they would. There are huge gaps under our new patio door (outside) and Ben said that it's ok like this. I will have to add some caulking just like I did on the inside as they forgot some of it. Truly a sad experience to deal with Ben, Nathaniel, and Randy from Offshore. Stay away from them, unless you are fine with damages and unfinished installations. read more

I had original single pane windows in my home and really needed to upgrade them. Lee opened his schedule for when it worked for me and came out and did all the measurements and provided me with a quote. The following week his team came out and installed three new windows and a patio slider. They did an awesome job, showed up on time, and only took a few hours to complete the install. They cleaned everything up and showed me how the new windows worked. It's been a few weeks since I've had the windows in and they've made a huge difference in insulation and noise reduction. It is so seldom when purchasing something that everything is better than what was promised and purchased. Ben and Lee came out and did the estimate for us. They explained every part of the process from manufacturing to install. They were both very helpful and knowledgeable. We had an issue with a prior window install done by someone else and they even helped us get that replaced. The installation of our french doors was not an easy process due to a bay window right beside of it that had been wrapped in stone leaving little to no room to work with on one side. I highly recommend Offshore Construction! I am a person that shops around when it comes to large purchases such as new windows and doors, so after getting 3 bids we decided on Offshore. Best decision ever. From the time of the estimate by Ben, to the install by Troy, the whole process was easy. We had a budget to work with and were provided with ideas and products that we could afford. They never tried to upsell us (which other vendors had done during the bidding process) as they were working with our budget. When our sliding doors (3 of them) and one window came in we were going to be out of town for the install. We had a family member be on site for the majority of the day and Troy and his crew left our home just as we had left it. They cleaned up everything, the dust, debris and made sure the doors were perfect. Upon arriving home from our vacation and opening up our front door the first thing we saw was our new 12' double sliding glass door. Absolutely STUNNING. It's so nice to have new sliding doors you can open with one hand (the old ones were about a thousand pounds and the tracks were on their last leg.). The doors nowadays are so light but very sturdy. In addition to the three sliders we had a window put into our shower. The existing one didn't open and didn't allow for ventillation.
