We got two bowls, chicken and shrimp, and they were really nicely done. Great fresh veggies and healthy portions of meat. Nice clean establishment. We left quite full. Stopped through here on a road trip! Food was good! We ordered sushi rolls, kids bowl, and burger with fries and all was tasty! Not spectacular but we all enjoyed! I love this place. One of the best in Ontario. Here for lunch and the place is packed. They have a fast turn around. Sushi is great and I have had a burger in the past. Their food is fresh and tastes great. Lunch is seat your self and dinner can have a wait sometimes but not often. They seem spendy for Ontario but it's not as bad if your in Boise. read more

Great Japanese food! My wife had a Teriyaki Beef Bento Box and I had several types of Sushi. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. This place is as good as any of the better Japanese restaurants in the greater Boise area. Well worth the trip. read more

I mostly visit with my wife during lunch hour. It's usually busy but we still manage to order our lunch with plenty of time to eat. We usually get sushi rolls which are made to order. Occasionally she'll get a rice bowl and I'll get a burger. Everything I have had has been delicious. Only complaint I have is cost but that barely an issue; the food is well worth it imho. read more

Bento Box contained a salad/vegetable combo that was so over-salted it's almost like they meant to serve us pickled vegetables but we interrupted the pickling process. Rice was old. I've been putting off going to Ogawa's for a while, since I'm not a very large fan of sushi. But last night we decided to try it out and I was very surprised. The food came out pretty quickly, our server was attentive and polite, and both me and my girlfriend really, reaaaally enjoyed our food. I was really impressed with how my burger came out, not to mention my onion rings were the perfect consistency. Not too crunchy, not underdone. Only complaint is the location of the men's room nearly right in the middle of the dining area, while the women's room is tucked away in the corner as bathrooms usually are. Decent food at a non-chain restaurant in a small town was a nice find. The miso was fair and mafu chicken was good...both were large servings for a appetizer. The chicken would have made a full meal. We stopped on our way from Washington to Idaho and had a decent dinner. Lots of choices. My grilled cheese burger was quite the experience and worth $8.50. My dad didn't love his chicken Yaki soba saying his chicken was dry and it tasted 'old;' I tried it and thought he was right about the chicken while the veggies were crunchy and just fine. My mom had the chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado -it looked fresh and tasted 'great!' Most tables around us ordered sushi and the rolls I saw looked colorful and delicious. I was completely dismayed when I moved to Idaho 10 years ago. I thought I would never find anything other than that horrifying gas station sushi. Especially in my neck of the woods. I live a ways from Boise. Then there was a glimmer of hope...and it was called Ogawas. I was so pleased with their saki. I believe it was the Nigori. Wonderful. And even better, the sushi was delightful as well. They also have food to appeal to the burger lover in your life. I love sushi so can't bring myself to order a cheeseburger when I go there, but I hear they are quite tasty as well. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. Just a great vibe. Unfortunately, this was one of my worst restaurant experiences ever. I really hoped that this would be "authentic" Japanese restaurant like it claims on the website (which I honestly think needs to be removed because it is a false and misleading claim) in a place like Ontario, where most other dining options are either fast food or large chain restaurants. The restaurant staff - the manager (I think) who took our take-out orders, the ladies working at the sushi counter, and others who prepared our food - all seemed very friendly, but I must say unprofessional. We ordered one sushi and one chicken dish + miso soup to go, and the soup was prepared first, so by the time we received everything else it was cold. My sushi was rolled in a really sloppy and unattractive way (too much rice, veggies too chunky, rolls falling apart too easily), and technically, it was NOT sushi because the rice was plain. When we got to the restaurant (around 6pm), the first thing I noticed was a very strong smell or some kind of chemical, coming from the bucket of water that a staff person had who was cleaning the same area where food was being prepared. While we were waiting for our order, a few people were talking about what and where our orders were and the communications among them did not sound professional. It was not a very busy time (with 4-5 tables), but somehow everything was chaotic and we felt uncomfortable. read more

Stop here for a quick lunch on the way out of town. It took a bit to have all eight of our orders made. But we were pleasantly surprised at the size of what we got. I got the Chinese chicken salad and it was great. The rest of my family got their bowls and they were good as well. The main chef here went to the Portland culinary Institute. You can tell by the fact that my dressing was from scratch as were the other sauces for my family's bowls. We didn't have any sushi so I can't comment on that. I cannot even begin to give this one star. The only reason it got the star, it would not let me rate without it. This was the most disgusting noodle bowl I have ever eaten. White spaghetti noodles overcooked, cold, sticking together with a bottle of teriyaki sauce poured over it. Cold shrimp coated with the same teriyaki sauce with a handful of raw cabbage, 2 pieces of raw broccoli and raw shredded carrots threw on top. Edible, but barely. Nice little place. The interior of the restaurant could be redone needs a new paint job for sure. But the lighting is right. The waitress was really knowledgeable about the food and friendly. I got the Mafa chicken combo bowl with half rice and half noodle. Everything tasted extremely fresh and cooked perfectly and it was absolutely delicious, I will definitely be back to try the Sushi.
